Cael tried to move in front of Ginevra, but she stopped him with a hand on his elbow.

"Thanks, but I can do this," she whispered.

Ginevra raised her head and met Enzo's eyes.

"You are deluding yourself if you think that I'm still that little girl, too scared to say a word against you, ENZO. I had enough! I'm going to carve my name on your back in bloody letters."

"Yes! That piece of a swamp dragon dung deserves nothing less." Cael glared daggers at Enzo. "Tell me, Enzo, since when did you become a highwayman? Do you often attack people on the road?"

"Naughty children think they can wag their tongues and escape their punishment," Enzo hissed, raising his hand and curling his fingers like claws. "Did you really think that I won't find your game? That I will let you cry into the king's shirt? No, you will die here!"
