Self-control

Cael swallowed. Suddenly, he felt more shy than the first time he seduced Ginevra. His wings, following his emotion rather than conscious thought, spread and folded again.

"Kiss me."

Ginevra smiled and moved a lock of black hair off her face. That simple movement, a mere brush of hand, made her breasts shift slightly under her chest, and more of her tantalizing scent to fill the air.

Cael never was more physically aware of his wife than now. He clenched his hands on the table, leaving claw marks on the wooden tabletop while Ginevra got closer. He raised his face towards her.

Her warm lips descended on his, coaxing Cael to open his mouth, to respond, to taste more of this woman. More of her skin, her saliva, her blood.

He grit his teeth, forcing himself not to respond, until a couple seconds later Ginevra moved back, looking at him with a frown.

"Cael?" she asked with great concern, readable in her steel-colored eyes. "Are you… not satisfied?"
