Ginevra knew Cael accepted all offers from Mimi from the moment he raised his eyes from the bone he was engraving. When their eyes met, she expected more awkwardness—gods knew the situation deserved it—but instead saw excitement, as if after a wondrous experience.
She shook her head, grinning. She made the right call after all, even if she had her doubts. It was hard to move away from everything she was taught about marital loyalty.
