A bone to pick
Two things didn't leave Cael alone for the rest of the evening and the next day: his lust and questions that arose in his mind about Mimi's past. It seemed a given at first—a magical construct made for power and pleasure—but now Cael wondered about things. Many things.
Ginevra must've felt Cael's mood, because the next morning she told that she was going to New Andanodia to manage the locals. This left Cael and Mimi alone together.
"And we are going hunting. Right, Master?" Mimi asked. "I love having Master on my back. I'd have Master ride me aaaaall day!"
"No," Cael shook his head. "Not today. Instead, help me with those bones."
They sat at a simple table outside of the hut. Cael pulled out his storage book and poured a massive pile of fish bones and snake horns out of it.
