5 5 : A Blessing from a Goddess

"Yea, I don't know what it is about psychics, but Gaia seems to really love them," Lia says.

"What do you mean, Gaia? Like the goddess of the earth?" Isaiah asked.

"Oh, yea, I guess I should have said that in my introduction," Lia said.

"But yeah, I'm the host for the goddess of the earth, Gaia?" Lia says with a smile ."

"Host, what do you mean host? So you're actually her or not?" Asked Isaiah.

Lia starts to laugh. "No, I'm definitely me. It's just the gods are no longer in this plane of existence, but they still want to know what is going on, so they get hosts to make sure the humans aren't destroying the planet. I'm Like an ambassador." Lia says explaining

"I guess that makes sense," Isaiah says, scratching the back of his head.

"It doesn't make much sense to me either," Lia said

"But anyway, I can give you a blessing that will grant you a system."

"What does the system do?"

"For everyone is different; the gods would give these systems to hero's or demi-gods.

To grow their power at a good pace, the only ones who have a blessed system now are mainly god hosts. I tried to give the blessing to mages or supernatural creatures. Still, they couldn't accept the one I wanted to provide them with, which makes sense because they can create their own using magic. Anyways you are still down to give it a try?

Isaiah shrugged his shoulders.

"YOLO, I guess."

Lia approaches Isaiah

"Alright, get on your knees and stand at my feet," Lia says.

"This isn't some weird fetch now, is it "? asks Isaiah

"For me, no, not in the slightest, She really only wants me to do it when it comes to giving someone a blessing," Lia replies as she grabs Isaiah's face.

Lia leans in and starts leaning down to kiss Isaiah. But to his surprise, she kisses him on the forehead like a mother would do a child.

As Lia pulls back from the kiss, her eyes begin to glow white as she looks up at the ceiling. As Isaiah looks up to see what is going on, Lia looks down, and their eyes meet.

"Isaiah Greenwood, this Blessed System will be your greatest weapon. All I ask in return is to protect this host at all costs. You and the host are the future protectors of this planet, do not let this planet be taken or destroyed." Lia said in a more mature woman's voice with a smile, then her eyes stopped glowing.

"I didn't know getting this blessing was going to require so much responsibility." Isaiah says." Lia stumbles in front of Isaiah, and he catches her by grabbing her waist; their eyes meet.

"Thanks," Lia says, blushing.

"So what happened? Did you get the blessing?"

"I think so, but then your voice changed, and you gave me a lot of responsibility," Isaiah said.

"I did?"

"Ugh, She took over my body, didn't she," Lia says, breaking away from Isaiah's hold.

"What did she say?" Lia asked, biting her nail thumb

"It's kind of embarrassing. I don't want to repeat it," Isaiah says, trying not to make eye contact.

Lia then gives a look only a mother could give.

"You will tell me what that old lady said to you with my body, or I will turn everything you eat into green apples for the rest of your life," Lia says with a severe look.

"She just said something about the system being my greatest weapon and how you and I have to protect the earth," Isaiah replies really fast.

"Gia never took over my body when I usually tried to do that. Mhmm, this seems essential. . . Oh well, at least you got the Blessed system right; you must be really powerful or really weak for her to say the system is your greatest weapon. Lia says.

"So how does this work anyway? Can I say "load system" like a video game?" asked Isaiah.

[Stats] [Abilities] [Quests] [Inventory]

"Oh S***, it is like a video game," Isaiah said

"So it works excellent! I think you might be the first psychic ever to have a system. I wonder if this is confirmation that you can use magic? Lia says, making a thinking face.

"This system is magic"? Isaiah asks

"I assume it is since I use magic for the blessing . . . Wait, are my blessings magic?" Lia says with a dumbfounded face flopping on the sectional.
