Parental Care

During the family's dinner, Poppy and I looked very distracted. My demeanor was quite usual since I was always playing around with food for the past month. But Poppy was suddenly behaving in a weird way as she also played with her food. This wasn't the real her, the real Poppy always finished a meal in less than five minutes. So mom and dad started to get worried and they wanted to know what was wrong with their daughters.

However, they didn't say a word during that night's dinner, rather they met each of us separately and talked to us.

Dad was the first to act. He came out wearing a long overcoat and knocked on our door.

Poppy opened him and upon seeing him all dressed up, asked: "Dad, are you going somewhere?"

"Yes", he replied and then asked: "Poppy, do you want to come with me?"
