80 The Pool Competition

"You can go first," Xu Anyi said with a calm smile, and the blonde girl nodded as she positioned herself in front of the rack and with a swift movement, hit the ball straight in the center.

The sound of the cue hitting the ball was almost like it was hitting Si Mu's heart, and although he leaned back against the bar counter with his arms crossed together casually, his heart was about to beat out of his chest at the moment.

He did not question Xu Anyi, but he could not help but be scared. Of course he knew that if she lost, he would not let the other girl just take him away, that would be absurd!

However, he also wanted Xu Anyi to learn her lesson. How could she just bet him out so easily?!

After the girl had hit the ball, she continued to her next move, walking around the table slowly as she carefully picked a position and hit a striped ball, the ball slowly rolling into the hole.

Her crowd cheered for her and she smiled confidently, glancing over at Xu Anyi to see if she was nervous. However, Xu Anyi still had an indifferent smile on her face as she watched, rolling her cue around in her hand.

"Si Mu. . . Does sister-in-law know how to play pool?" Bai Yu couldn't help but ask when he saw how confident Xu Anyi seemed. By now, he couldn't even tell if she was just faking it or if she was actually confident in this match or not.

From the looks of it, that blonde girl was not an easy competitor.

After moving her body slightly, the blonde girl had hit another ball into a socket, inviting another surge of applause and cheers.

However, Xu Anyi still seemed unconcerned as she watched with a blank expression.

Si Mu frowned slightly as he replied gravely, "I don't know. I don't think so."

Bai Yu's eyes widened, "Then why is she playing?!"

Si Mu threw him an annoyed glare, and Bai Yu pressed his lips together, realizing that Si Mu was not in a good mood. He silently backed off and stood next to Mo Haoyu, beginning to discuss with him what they would do if Xu Anyi began losing.

After the girl had hit four balls into the holes already, the crowd was all staring at the girl in awe, and also looking at the other girl, Xu Anyi, with pity.

It seemed like that girl was going to lose her boyfriend tonight!

Who knew that this beautiful blonde girl would also be so skilled at pool! There were only three striped balls left on the table, and the blonde girl looked at the three of them, her eyebrows drawing together.

None of them were in a good position to be hit.

In the end, she could only carelessly hit one of them, the ball bouncing off against the other side of the table and landing back in the center of the table.

The blonde girl did not seem upset as she had performed really well already, "Your turn."

Xu Anyi finally stood up straight, stretching her back as she looked at the table, which was practically all filled with solid balls.

She walked up to the table, staring at the arrangement of balls.

She stared at it for almost a minute, and the crowd was beginning to get impatient.

"Does she even know how to play?"

"What is she doing? Is she going to give up?"

"Who knows? I would. There is no way she could win."

Si Mu frowned as he straightened his back, stepping forward towards the table. What was she doing. . .

However, as he moved a little closer, Xu Anyi suddenly bent down, leaning forward against the table as she held her stick out, positioning her hand onto the table in a very professional position.

Si Mu immediately froze as he raised an eyebrow, surprise flashing past his face.

She knew how to play?

She pulled the stick back and with a soft clicking sound, the cue hit the ball perfectly in the center, and the ball went flying across the table, straight into the hole.

Everyone watching couldn't help but widen their eyes in surprise, including the blonde girl. They had all assumed that Xu Anyi wouldn't know how to play pool, because she did not seem like she came here often.

Plus, the blonde girl had only offered to compete because she had overheard Si Mu asking Xu Anyi if she needed help picking out a cue earlier. So, she was certain that the girl did not know how to play. However. . . what was happening now?!

After hitting one ball in, Xu Anyi smiled and began searching for her next target.

The blonde girl calmed herself down, telling herself that Xu Anyi just got lucky with the first ball. Beginner's luck.

However, the second time, Xu Anyi positioned herself professionally once again, and she easily hit another ball into the socket from a difficult angle, and this was certainly not luck anymore.

"Wooh!" Bai Yu clapped after breaking out of his shock, and this brought upon a wave of cheers from the crowd as well.

Xu Anyi's smile widened as one by one, she continued to shoot balls into their sockets with ease, and the blonde girl began to sweat as she stepped forward, her eyebrows furrowing together.

Xu Anyi had shot four balls into their sockets already, and the match was tied.

There were three striped balls on the table, and three solid balls.

After Xu Anyi had shot her first ball in, Si Mu had stood up and walked over closer to the table, looking at her with surprise and a hint of relief.

He did not know that she knew how to play pool. . . And play so well!

With three balls left, Xu Anyi looked at each one. None of the balls were in a good position to be shot into a socket.
