81 The Perfect Shot

With three balls left, Xu Anyi looked at each one. None of the balls were in a good position to be shot into a socket.

The blonde girl's tense muscles loosened up slightly when she saw the position of the balls on the table as well. Okay, at least it was a tie. She still had a chance! She just had to perform well this next time.

She grabbed her chalk and began preparing as Xu Anyi walked around the table in a circle.

Si Mu watched her from the side, not saying anything.

Then, Xu Anyi stopped in front of the blue ball. The blue pool was right in the center of the edge of the table, and there was a red solid ball to the left of it and the black eight ball to the right, making it impossible for it to be shot into any of those two corners.

Therefore, it was stuck.

Xu Anyi stood in front of the ball, staring at it for several seconds.

"Can you hurry up?" The blonde girl ordered impatiently, wanting her chance already.

Xu Anyi raised an eyebrow as she broke out of her thoughts and took a step back, turning around to the guests standing behind her, "Can you take a step back?"

The crowd moved back, wondering what she was up to.

Then, Xu Anyi took a careful step back as well, and leaned forward, her entire upper body bending forward almost ninety degrees as she carefully placed the edge of the cue onto the table, her slender fingers also resting on the edge of the table firmly.

"Where is she shooting at?" The guests couldn't help but wonder, as her position made it seem like she was shooting it randomly across the table.

Xu Anyi leaned forward even more to get a better look at the ball, and the crowd did not even know where to look! Should they watch the ball or watch her, for she definitely looked more beautiful than the ball in that position!

Seeing this, Si Mu frowned and walked around, standing behind her, his tall figure covering her back from the view of others.

Then, Xu Anyi slowly brought the cue back and a sparkle flashed past her eyes as she aimed straight at the ball, which went flying across the table, hitting the border at the other end.

Then, it came rolling back with the same speed, hitting the red ball to the side at a perfect angle, just enough to send both balls flying in opposite directions.

There was the simultaneous sounding of two balls rolling into the socket as the blue ball went perfectly into the left corner hole and the red ball slowly rolled to the right, landing straight into the right corner socket.

The entire room turned silent for a moment as they tried to process the shot that had just happened.

By shooting the ball across the table, not only was the control of the angles already very difficult but scoring two balls with one shot. . .

Amazing!

The crowd erupted into cheers as everyone could not believe their eyes, but they quickly focused again as Xu Anyi walked around the table to hit the final solid ball on the table.

The final shot was easy, and she scored the last solid ball into the hole with ease.

At this point, the blonde girl had gotten over her shock as well and was staring at the table in surprise and frustration now.

The last eight ball was also in a perfect position for Xu Anyi to hit into a socket, and unless a miracle happened, she had lost.

Xu Anyi looked at the final black ball on the table for her to hit, and she began twisting the cue around in her hand.

After a few seconds, she smiled and sat on the edge of the table, turning her body around as she twisted her arm around and held the cue behind her back, carelessly hitting the white ball, which went smoothly past the black ball, hitting the other side of the table and stopping to the side of the table.

". . ."

Everyone froze.

What was she doing? She had the perfect opportunity to hit the ball into the socket, but she just gave it up.

Xu Anyi smiled as she turned the stick around, throwing it up in the air slightly and catching it again as she turned to face the blonde girl, "Your turn."

The blonde girl's face turned green as she looked at the table, and after a few seconds, her face was overcome by anger, "Are you playing me?!"

Xu Anyi stood next to Si Mu, her arms crossed together with an innocent expression, "What do you mean?"

The rest of the crowd also looked at the table, and upon closer examination, they saw what the blonde girl was talking about.

Although Xu Anyi's last shot had seemed careless, the white ball landed perfectly in a place where it was practically impossible to hit any of the striped balls into a socket, unless the blonde girl had the same skills as Xu Anyi.

However, it was evident that she did not as the blonde girl clenched her teeth together and angrily hit the white ball across the table, causing it to almost fly off the table from the force before coming back, landing in the middle of the table.

The blonde girl then put her cue down, angrily sitting down on the couch as she could only watch as Xu Anyi stood back up, and with one simple shot, she hit the final eight ball into the socket.

The crowd erupted into cheers at the exciting competition filled with unexpected twists and turns. Especially that girl in the red dress. . . Who would have thought that she would be such a skilled player?!

Xu Anyi put her cue down on the table and turned to face the blonde girl with a smile. However, it was not a provocative smile this time, but instead a respectful grin as she nodded her head slightly and mouthed the words, "Good game."

The blonde girl was slightly taken by surprise by Xu Anyi's respectfulness, as she had expected Xu Anyi to humiliate her or at least show off her victory, but she did not do any of that.

Her expression changed slightly as a hint of admiration appeared on her face.

After the match had finished, the crowd slowly left and returned to their own corners of the room, still discussing the match.

The friends of the blonde girl were comforting her, but she stood up from the couch, walking over to Xu Anyi.

They faced each other, and in the end, a smile appeared on her face, "Good match. I don't feel ashamed losing to you."

Xu Anyi nodded, "Good match."

The girl opened her mouth, and it looked like she wanted to say something else as her gaze fell onto the man standing behind Xu Anyi, but in the end, she did not say anything and instead nodded her head politely at Xu Anyi then turned around, walking out of the pool room.

Her friends looked at Xu Anyi as well before following her out of the room.

After they left, Xu Anyi was about to turn around when she suddenly felt a surge of warmth on her back.
