75 Meet His Friends?

The next day, Xu Anyi appeared again at the bottom of Design's headquarters.

After a quick discussion that did not last over an hour, she had signed her name onto the contract that was given to her by the manager.

In fact, she was very pleased with the deal, as the benefits she was receiving were far greater than she had imagined. She did not know that models were paid this much!

If she had known, she would have certainly followed her dreams five years ago and started modeling no matter what that piece of trash said! Well then again, if she had known many things five years ago, she would have made many different decisions.

After signing the contract, Si Yi was waiting with Si Mu's car at the bottom of the building, "President Si told me to come to pick you up and bring you to the company."

Xu Anyi got into the car and they drove to the Si Corporation together. Without Si Mu at her side, she did not gain as much attention when walking into the company, but still, many people watched her as Si Yi was Si Mu's first-hand bodyguard and assistant.

Xu Anyi knocked on the door before entering and Si Mu looked up, his expression softening when he saw that it was her, "You're here."

There was another person standing in front of Si Mu, reading from a report, so Xu Anyi sat down quietly on the couch, where several plates of food had been prepared already.

She took a bite of the fruit and pulled out her own laptop as she began working.

After the worker had left, Si Mu saw that she had also begun working, so he did not disturb her and the two of them worked in silence for a while.

It was almost time for lunch when Si Mu closed his computer and walked over to her. Xu Anyi also turned off his laptop, making space for him on the couch as he sat down.

"Anyi, do you want an assistant?"

Xu Anyi was surprised at his sudden question, but on second thought, her modeling jobs were getting busier, and it would be helpful to have an assistant when she was modeling. She nodded.

Si Mu smiled and stood up, walking back over to his desk as he wrote something down onto a small piece of paper, "Okay, I will find one for you."

Then, he grabbed the landline phone and dialed a number, calling his assistant, Lin Yibo.

"Yes, President Si!" The other side spoke.

"I need you to find a modeling assistant for me as soon as possible. Someone with a clean background, willing to work, and. . ." Si Mu paused and then added in a softer voice, "A girl."

". . ." Xu Anyi raised an eyebrow and then could not help but chuckle.

"Yes sir!"

Then, Si Mu hung up, cleared his throat, and grabbed his suit jacket, walking over to her, "Let's go eat lunch."

After they had finished the meal, Xu Anyi took a sip of water as Si Mu handed the waiter his black card. The waiter left the room and after the door had closed, Si Mu asked, "Do you have time tonight?"

Xu Anyi put the glass of water down and looked up, nodding.

Si Mu paused and then asked, "Do you want to meet my friends?"

Xu Anyi's eyes widened in surprise as she processed her question, "Your friends?"

Si Mu nodded, "They arranged a dinner together tonight, and they all want to meet you."

Xu Anyi thought about it for a moment, as the request was quite sudden and she had not thought about meeting Si Mu's friends before. In fact, he always seemed to either be with her, with his workers, or alone, that she had almost forgotten that he had his own friends as well!

His friends would probably be people of his sort as well, right? Then, there was a possibility that she might know a few of them too. . .

"It's just a few of my closest friends," Si Mu asked, "If you don't want to, it's-"

"Okay!" Xu Anyi replied with a smile.

She should be happy that Si Mu was willing to introduce her to his friends. It showed that he was taking this relationship seriously, even though they started off as a contractual relationship.

In fact, why did it feel like they were actually dating right now? Meeting his friends. . . That was something new couples would do!

After returning home in the afternoon, Xu Anyi did some work and then got ready for the dinner. In the past when she had been with Lu Yuzhe, they all had mutual friends so she never had to go "meet" his friends, so this would be the first time she was doing something like this.

She was slightly nervous for some reason, but she calmed herself down as she entered her closet and picked out a sparkling red dress.

It was a tight-fitting dress that reached her knees, and it hugged her curves perfectly, showing off her skinny waist and long legs.

The front of the dress had a high chestline, but when she turned around, the back of the dress did not have much fabric as it had a revealing back.

She looked at her beautiful back in the mirror and frowned slightly.

The dress looked beautiful, but she wasn't sure if it would be a good choice for meeting Si Mu's best friends, and she was certain he would not let her wear that out either!

So, in the end, she grabbed a black blazer and wore it over the dress, covering her back.

She then curled her long hair into beautiful wavey curls and put on makeup that matched her outfit before stepping out.

Si Mu was waiting for her already in the living room, and he was still wearing the same black suit from the morning.

When he saw her, he stood up, his eyes sparkling as he threw the book he was holding aside, looking at her with a slightly surprised expression.

Then, he smiled as he walked over and grabbed onto her hand, "Let's go."
