19 The First Day
Part 1 Ethan's Pov
. . . . .
Turning to face me was a kid with the same height as my current body... His face stiffened when he realised that it was me who suddenly laid claim to the girl he was pursuing.
" Um... Really?" He looked at Luna.
" Yes, we are in a relationship," Luna said without any hesitation.
This caused an uproar among the students ...some were saying that they already suspected that while some were denying the possibility because Luna was a commoner.
" I came to get you... Since it's our first day as an official couple. I think we should eat alone."
I had already talked with Davis and I won't be eating with him today but with Luna... I also told him that we were just pretending since he kept on nagging me.
I forced him to not get into meaningless relationships so he was forcing me to do the same... It felt wrong to not tell him the truth. For a while, I have to watch over him.
I don't want Davis to be honey trapped by Jonathan...
My friend has to control his dog-like attitude towards girls for some time... In return, I will do the matchmaking for him and find the best girl.
" Alright... L- Let's go." She looked relieved but at the same time flustered.
I can somewhat understand the shyness of such an inexperienced person... Who hadn't even made a single friend in his life?
She doesn't know but she is socially awkward... And starts to sweat when she is subjected to the experience of being noticed by a huge crowd.
That was also the reason why she planned to have a fake relationship with me...
In the end, after a little bit of pleading... Davis had told me everything that happened to Luna. I found out why she was acting like this...
'I should not interfere in whatever she is planning...' That was my decision.
I might be an adult inside this body but others are still kids...
There was no need to help Luna with such a thing... She can overcome any challenges in her life with her own power and wits. I was just trying to make things easier for her by being there to help her whenever she needed to.
We were going to eat together so Luna suggested...
" Let's go to the other one...I can't afford that food." She spoke.
" Don't worry, I will pay." I offered her.
" No... I will pay my own bills, Just follow me."
She grabbed my hands and started to drag me towards the canteen in which she usually eats...
I had never been to that place ever before so I don't know what the food tastes like there but there is nothing wrong with trying.
This canteen was located far away from the canteen in whitch we usually go to eat...
The counters were like street food stalls and only had few places to sit... Fortunately this place had a light crowd, there were not many people despite the food being cheap.
" Stop making that face... The food here is also edible." She spoke.
" I didn't say it's not."
" Follow me..."
We didn't have to wait long in the queue as there was only two people standing in the front.
" Give me a chicken sandwitch, one serving of Coleslaw, and green tea." She ordered and the staff noted her order on one paper.
She made the payment and went to the other counter with a receipt in her hand...
" What would you like to order sir?" The staff asked.
" Ah...Please give me Three plates of steaks, omelette, salad, and vegetable soup." I ordered.
" Alright sir..." The Staff was taken back, I ordered after checking the menu but it seems it's rare for someone to order these dishes.
Or maybe he was taken back by the amount of food I ordered.
But after I made the payment he also handed me a receipt, requesting more time to prepare my order... He told me to have a seat and that they would deliver it on the table.
Unlike me Luna was already done receiving her order within a few minutes and then she wanted to sit on a table which was already occupied by someone else...
" There is no privacy here... People can sit on any table they want." She informed me.
" I-Is that so?" I replied.
I was a little hesitant now... Because of two reasons, I don't like eating with strangers and I don't want them to see the amount of food that I usually eat.
Among friends I feel comfortable eating that much but eating with someone you don't know causes some hesitation.
However since Luna wanted to sit and there were no empty tables... I decided to sit on that table but before that I thought about asking for permission will be polite.
" Excuse me... I am Ethan Augustine, and This is Luna... Can we please share the seat with you?"
" A- Augustine ...Really?" The boy stuttered and noticed the golden lines on my uniform which showed that I am from a prestigious noble family.
" I am sorry... I will leave. Please have a good time." The boy spoke.
" No, I didn't mean to ask you to leave. I am just requesting if you will allow us to share the table with you."
" Me, Allow?...It's alright, I am done eating for the day, please excuse me."
The boy quickly grabbed his plate and left...
" Wow... You are such a bully, you scared him off using your family name." Luna made a gloating face.
" I didn't meant to scare him off... I was just politely asking. Isn't that good manners?"
" Pfthaha... Maybe." She laughed.

Part 2, Luna's Pov
. . . . .
Ethan kept looking back towards the staves of the food counter from his seat, hoping that they will bring his food soon. But no one came...I was even about to finish my breakfast and Ethan was still waiting...
" You shouldn't have ordered something that takes a long time to prepare..."
" It doesn't take this much time... Aren't they doing it on purpose?"
" No...They aren't."
" Tsk... I should have ordered the same things that you did."
"By the way, Why do you eat so much?" I asked.
" Since my talent in magic is low... I was hoping to build my body strong enough to fight. I regularly excercise and I am trying to bulk up... This much food is needed for everything."
Having a strong body has no benefits apart from lifting heavy weights... He is delusional to think that he can become strong just by bulking up.
It would have been a different case if he was learning swordsmanship but as far as I know, it is forbidden in Augustine family to fight using swords.
" I had something to ask..." I hesitated to ask when there were so many people around but It's better to start early.
" Is there any place in hidden Valley that will buy a potion made from me... I don't have a license but I want to sell them."
" You are already able to make potions?"
" Yes, it's not difficult... I can make a tier 1 preservation potion, and tier 1 & 2 vitality potion."
He wasn't shocked to hear what I said instead he looked like he expected me to say this.
" You can sell to Drax..."
" No, anyone other than him."
" Alright... There is another place I know, I will take you there this weekend."
He didn't ask me why and for some reason it made me even more nervous... Is this what it feels to have a partner in crime?
" By the way... The pendant you gave me last time, turned into this." I showed him my hand which was covered by a thin glove that we normally use in alchemy lab.
" ..."
He didn't say anything and just kept on staring at the mark that appeared on my hand.
" This is the seven petal crest of Yuradel..."
" Of the goddess?"
I didn't understand what did he mean by it but he grabbed my hands and looked at them intently as if he had seen some miracle...
" You said the pendant turned into this?" He asked and I nodded.
'Did he not know that this will happen?'
" Yes," I replied and nodded. " How is it related to the goddess? I have never heard or read about such a marking."
" You can find this mark in the copies of the 4th Holy Book, there are only a few copies of it. Fortunately, There is a copy in the academy library."
I relaxed after hearing that... If it's like this then I can confirm the truth myself through the library. However I couldn't stay relaxed for long...
Just as I was about to discuss something else..I saw someone walking towards our table... A boy with a huge build and a sword on his waist.
He quickened his pace, and all of a sudden grabbed Ethan's head and Slammed it on the table.
-BANG
The table broke...
