106 Stealing the Auction Artifact [2]

(Back to the present, inside the auction house)

Max took a deep breath and straightened his back. His new body language mirrored that of Leo's, as if he had been this man his entire life.

As the light finished blinding the boy, he could now see the massive auction room.

The auction room was grand, with high ceilings decorated with elaborate chandeliers.

The walls were lined with paintings and shelves filled with expensive-looking items.

Bright spotlights illuminated the stage where the auction would take place, and Max would be the one to present it all.

There were hundreds of people in front of him, all wearing expensive-looking attires.

They were sitting on comfortable chairs, patiently waiting for the auction to begin.

Each of them carried a high-end bidding card, its value unbeknownst to anybody but themselves, their eyes already set on the items they wanted.
