Finally some Adventurers!

As Max continued walking through the forest, he came across several monsters that tried to kill him, each combat leading him to fight with everything he had if he didn't want to die.

And just like that, three days passed in the blink of an eye, and he found himself surrounded by dozens of wolves, all of them growling at him as they were waiting for the right moment to attack.

'Fuck...' he cursed, 'why are there so many of them?'

His divination didn't answer, but he didn't expect it to do so, instead, he just stared at the beasts as they circled him, slowly approaching as they prepared to jump at him.

"Come on then," he held another stick he carefully picked tightly as the last one broke, "you all wanna die don't you?"

He had gotten used to the atmosphere of this forest, and even though it was supposed to be rated a 2 out of 5 on the dangerous places scale, he still managed to flawlessly manage his way through all these monsters.

As he was about to dash into the fight using his "knife stick", he looked at his status windows.

[Host: Max Evans]

[Age: 18]

[Race: Human (Evil Confirmed)]

[Level: 11]

[Divination of The Assassin - Evil Ranked]

[Special Ability: Assassination]

[Skills: Perception, Weak Points]

[Strenght: 9, Speed: 14, Endurance: 13, Divination Power: 2]

[Assassination Points: 139/1000]

His level had stopped increasing at some point because he was fighting the same monsters over and over, slowing his growth as he didn't face stronger opponents.

His assassination points had also greatly increased as each kill he made would make it go up, however he was still very far from the 1000 needed to upgrade his skill and make his divination stronger.

But the biggest surprise was his speed and endurance stat, they had massively increased in such a short amount of time, making him already faster than many of the monsters in the forest, something that shouldn't be possible for a level 11 guy who just transmigrated to this new world.

And just like that, he got ready to charge at the wolf pack, not caring if he was outnumbered as he had grown confident in his skills.

"GRAAAWWWRRR~" the leader of the pack roared and signaled the others to attack, and all of them jumped at the boy, who smirked as he dodged the attacks.

With skill he never had in his past life, he swiftly moved around the wolves and stabbed them with his stick while aiming at their weak points, killing them one by one as he didn't hold back, he wouldn't let this world take him even if it meant risking everything he had.

[Killed Forest Wolf, +13 assassination points]

[Killed Three Forest Wolves, +39 assassination points]

'MOREEEEEE....'

[Killed Forest Wolf Leader, +50 assassination points]

He didn't know how much time passed, but eventually, all the wolves were dead, and Max was standing there covered in blood, breathing heavily as he stared at the corpses.

"Hahahaha~" he laughed, "You should have just run!"

He had won, and now he could finally continue his journey, he couldn't take every core as his pockets were already full of them from previous encounters, but he decided to take the leader's as it was probably the most pricey.

[Assassination Points: 248/1000]

[Killed "Wolf Pack", +5 levels]

[The Host is slowly becoming stronger, it seems like cutting the links with those idiots you call "classmates" was the real solution]

'Maybe...' Max sighed, he honestly wondered how they were doing right now, but didn't care enough to actively think about that when there was the possibility of fighting monsters behind every tree.

But another question emerged through his mind as he saw the screen talk to him: "What are you, and how are you using that to talk with me?"

[I am your divination: "the assassin", we divinations use this system and screen to communicate with our links.]

That's all he said, and Max didn't ask any more questions as he was too busy surviving in the forest.

But it was at that moment that the new "assassin" heard a loud scream come from a direction, and even though it felt distant, for him it was almost like they were next to him, the reason for that was obvious...

[An assassin needs heightened senses if he wants to survive!]

Basically, his special ability also gave him super vision and hearing beyond human capability, allowing him to listen to conversations and see things he normally shouldn't be able to.

And right now, he could hear someone scream, which meant that he had finally found civilization, or at least, somebody else in this god-forsaken place.

So he quickly ran towards the source of the sound, hoping to find a way out of the Flavip Forest, but it also being quick enough for him to not be immediately discovered, he had decided to take his role as an assassin more seriously after all.

Max kept running in the direction where he heard the screams, and eventually, he noticed a light coming from afar, it was faint, but it was there, and that meant only one thing: adventurers!

He was happy, but at the same time, he couldn't stop thinking about the possibility of a trap, after all, humans were despicable enough to also attempt to kill him and take whatever he had.

'Well...' he mumbled, 'I'll just have to kill them instead if it comes down to it'

Max had been in the wild for a little more than three days, yet his perception of things had already drastically changed: it was either kill or be killed, his encounter with the royalty of this kingdom and the monsters in this forest proved that.

And just like that, he went forward, being careful to not alert whoever was ahead of him, but he was too late as he was met with a group of four people, all of them wearing armor and holding weapons.

"Hey, who are you?" one of them asked, he was a young man with brown hair and blue eyes, and he seemed to be the leader of the group as he was standing in front of the other three.

Max didn't answer, instead, he inspected the party of adventurers.

'There's no way I can win against them...' he thought, he was outnumbered and they had better equipment than him, he didn't stand a chance, but he wasn't scared, after all, they looked friendly enough, right?

"My name is Max, I got lost in the forest for some days and I'm trying to find my way back to one of the nearby cities, do you guys have any idea as to where I should be heading?" he spoke as politely as possible, wanting to give off the vibe that he was a good person.

"You're lucky we came here to hunt monsters, otherwise you'd probably be dead by now," the leader answered, "there aren't any towns near the Flavip Forest, so if you want to get out of here, we'll have to escort you to the closest kingdom."

"Oh thank god, I was starting to think that I would never leave this place alive..." Max sighed in relief as he put on an Oscar-worthy performance, he was saved!

"Just gotta wait a bit, we're here to earn money after all!" one of the other three members said as he grabbed his weapon in hand.
