Chapter 11: The Good Witch

"The trees are quiet, indeed," Erik said while observing the forest. We are here in the mountains where Tia is living. We were about to send Vincent and Ian to try and talk to Tia to come in the pack but thinking of how nervous Vincent we decided to go and look ourselves. We asked Ellie, Erik's mom, together with Ian, to look after the pack while we were gone. Klaus has been quiet for the last couple of weeks, so we decided to make a move now.

"Where is it, Vincent?" I asked my brother. "It was here, but I can't pinpoint the exact location, not like last time," He answered while looking and sniffing around.

I also looked around and saw branches of trees being swept by the wind while there were trees that didn't move. I followed the trees that had no movement, and I was getting deeper into the forest when it was getting harder to breathe.

"Angeline, do you find something?" I asked Angeline when I felt she was awake, and she was so focused.

"Go further to the right." I followed Angeline's direction and went further to the right.

I was walking and searching by following Angeline's direction when Erik and Vincent came rushing to me in their wolf form.

"I thought something happened to you" Erik mind-linked me with worry in his voice. "Why, is something wrong? I didn't know I was that far ahead," I replied to Erik.

"Your scent was getting fainter," Erik said while nudging my leg with his head. I patted him and looked around again.

"The air is thin, and it's getting harder to breathe," Vincent said while trying hard to sniff.

Vincent ran away and came back with clothes in his mouth. Erik and Vincent then went behind a tree to change. They came back to my side, fully dressed.

"Let's go further," I said, and my hand automatically found its way to my mate's hand. Vincent walked in front of us, and we followed.

I don't know how many more minutes passed when we walked, but it was getting harder to breathe as we went further. Until Vincent found dead animals, he scanned the animals on the ground.

"The animals have no injury. They're clean but still dead" Vincent mind-linked us instead of talking, fearing that someone else is there.

"They don't have any signs of poison either," Erik said after scanning the animals near us.

"I think it's because of the thin air," I said.

"Makes sense," Vincent said, standing up and then looking in further ahead. He became focused on a single direction, and we knew that Tia was there, and he must be smelling the scent of his mate. The smell of your mate's scent is so alluring that it will pull you in. Vincent looked more serious as he walked, and we followed him from behind quietly.

Vincent suddenly stopped and looked behind to face us. "Is it here?" I asked.

"The scent was suddenly gone, and it stopped here," He replied, feeling disappointed. It must be his wolf, I thought. Erik let go of my hand to search around, and I also began to search around when I bumped into something.

"Ouch," I exclaimed, touching my forehead. Erik and Vincent both looked at me and rushed toward me.

"Are you okay, darling?" Erik asked, scanning my face. I nod at him as a reply, and Vincent raises his hand, trying to touch something in the air until he finds an invisible wall.

He looked at us, and I saw Erik signaling a sign to him. Vincent tried to enter using force when he flew towards the tree from behind, and the wall rejected him. It's a barrier.

Vincent stood and brushed off the dirt from his clothes. I scanned him to see if he was okay, and being a beta saved him from being hurt.

I was fascinated by the barrier that I kept on touching. "How would we suppose to enter or even let Tia know we want to talk to her?" I asked and glanced at Erik. Vincent was about to try and force his way in when Erik stopped him. Vincent's wolf is evident in his eyes, and he's becoming aggressive, knowing that his mate is near.

"Let's think our way in to save ourselves from getting hurt," Erik ordered, using his Alpha voice to try and calm Vincent's wolf. Seeing that Vincent became calm, Erik let go of his hand and returned to my side.

"Try to call her out," I suggested to both of them. "Tia, the witch who defeated Merlin! Can you give me a chance to talk to you?! We are from the Silver Growlers pack!" Erik shouted while walking on the sides of the invisible wall.

We waited for a few seconds when a strong gust of wind suddenly hit us. Erik protected me from the blast of wind while Vincent's wolf surfaced again. I can see from where I am standing, even though the wind is strong, that Vincent is fighting his wolf.

When the blast of wind stopped, we saw a different scenario. You can see the abundance of the forest, trees full of fruits, and other kinds of animals running around, and it differs from the woods behind us and the one we passed through.

Vincent, who couldn't contain his wolf any longer, shifted into his wolf form and rushed inside. After picking up vincent's clothes, Erik and I followed him inside.

You can't detect any signs of someone living here that confused us, and you can't even see a house here. We were busy looking around when we lost sight of Vincent, and we walked further inside and looked for any signs of Tia.

I checked the trees for a closer look to see if it's real. It amazes me that the forest looks so good. I keep asking myself if it grew naturally or if Tia cast some spell on it. If she decided to come with us, I would ask her if she could do this to our land so that the pack members don't need to hunt further in the forest.

We were still looking around when we heard someone talk.

"What can I do to the future Queen and King of the werewolves?"

Erik and I looked where the voice came from, only to find Tia sitting on a broom above us. She was in the air, flying using a broom, and I couldn't help myself to be amazed. Witches are amazing, I thought.

"I am Erik Smith, Alpha of the Silver Growlers pack," Erik introduced himself while Tia flew down until she reached the ground.

"and I am his mate, Clara Lee" I also introduced myself. She smiled at us and bowed.

"I don't need to introduce myself, do I?" She asked.

"Of course not. We were aware of who you were before coming here," I replied to Tia, smiling back.

"Let's talk somewhere more appropriate. The Alpha and Luna of the strongest pack and the future rulers came here in person to talk to me. It must be about that witch," Tia said, gesturing us to follow her.

"Then I think that the talk would be much easier," Erik said while putting his arm around my waist.

We started walking when Tia suddenly stopped. Erik and I looked at each other confused. I was about to ask Tia if something was wrong when I saw Vincent in front, looking at Tia.

I rushed forward and put clothes of Vincent in front of him. He then bit his clothes and went behind a tree to change. Vincent changed in an instant and walked towards Tia.

I can see the confused look on Tia's face. I know she feels the mate pull but doesn't know what it is. Vincent slowly walked toward Tia, looking at her from head to toe.

When Vincent was standing in front of Tia, he held her cheeks and said, "MINE,"

"NOT AGAIN," and that was the only reaction we got from Tia.
