Episode 36

"You have the nerve to call me here" 

Well yeah, she is right though, I mean what was I thinking? She is tiny but she's kinda scary. What's going on with the alpha women of this country though? Aren't they normally tall, she's small..and my crazy woman has quite the physique when normal alpha women tend to be less angular. Genetic mutation maybe? Interesting, maybe I'll do my thesis on...wha! I totally got derailed there..! these interior monologues of mine tend to get so distracting these days.

"Are you going to stand there or say something?" She tapped her feet irritably "Besides, to call me to a drive way, you made sure we'd have privacy yet not too much that things might get dangerous, quite clever I see"

"Well yeah forgive me for my lack of trust there, I almost got roasted not too recently and though I should have reported you to cops but unfortunately I already know I stand no chance in fighting legally against you" I folded my arms and shrugged.

"Glad you know your place omega trash" She raised a brow and stated the obvious.

"It's really terrible isn't it? The system...the alphas always win don't they even when they are wrong" I sighed.

"Did you call me here so we can have a political discussion and work out who to vote next or something?" She spoke sarcastically.

"Oh no, I wouldn't, I'm too liberal to convince someone as conservative as you" I shook my head "I'm just saying, wouldn't it be good if alphas had to pay for their crimes too, you know? money and status wasn't able to buy law" I stated, she seemed unimpressed as if I was wasting her time.

"By your logic, your Aoi darling is also an offender, she attempted to violate you, didn't she? not just once but twice" She snickered.

"That depends on whether I want to put charges against her or not and I choose not to" I replied, well she's kinda right...ahhh am I sure this is not just Stockholm or something? no wait, she didn't really do it so it can't be Stockholm, I mean, I don't know I'm too confused about how I feel about her..but back in childhood, she did regret it otherwise she wouldn't have been trying so hard to change herself right? But what about the recent one?..no I can't blame her...If she wouldn't have attacked me, I would've..I wanted her badly too because of the heat..it was kind of mutual..

"You're just saving a criminal too, see? you omegas will never take stand..you'd rather jump from a building than take revenge against those who do you wrong" She mumbled

"Like haru chan?" I whispered, her eyes widened for a little but then they relaxed

"Yuki that b*tch" She whispered too " Well it doesn't matter if you know or not, nothing really matters"

"Your brother..right now he's completely lost his mind, he's seeing things, he's freaking out and he starts screaming and attacking whoever approaches him, are you satisfied with your revenge? has he paid for the crime he did against Haru chan?" I asked, she stood there looking quite numb

"He's no different compared to an omega, he lacks the resolve to save himself and therefore he will suffer..It's a match of survival" She replied.

"The reason he didn't defend himself is because of guilt, its not like he can't save himself, he can't forgive himself..just like you" I said, she turned her head away

"Are you here to try give me a lecture? Did you forget what I can do to my own brother, I can do to you too?" She said.

"I don't know, a part of me still screams, you can still be saved" I replied, she chuckled and then burst into laughter "I'm not joking!" I frowned.

"Even if there was still something to save left in me...who said I wanted to be saved?" She laughed and leaned down grabbing a rock from the ground "Say, do you know..even if I were to murder you right here in a public parking lot..my family can still pay enough to dismiss the case before it even starts?" She said, my eyes widened, she turned and charged at me with full pace.

Move...

Move....

My feet...I can't move...move...this fear...no...move please!

She lifted the rock in her hands as far as she could and swung with full force

little blood drops littered the floor..

"Why did you hide it from me till it got this bad?"

Akio whispered holding Keitarou's hand that was strapped to the hospital bed. He was sleeping peacefully after a violent episode, the doctors had to strap his hands and feet to the bed so he doesn't harm himself or anyone else.

Yuki had to bring him in after he passed out during a panic episode, she could no longer leave him alone either. She sat outside his room the whole time with a guilty heart, she even called Akio using Keitarou's cell because she couldn't handle it on her own anymore.

"Can I come in..?" Someone knocked at the door and Akio raised his head looking at the man with chestnut brown hair and brown eyes. He seemed unfamiliar to him so Akio got on guard but then Zhuang also came from the back.

"Alex?" Yuki said as she stood up.

"Oh my, if it isn't Yuki san" Alex replied and handed her the bouquet he brought in, she took it from him.

"How did you know?" She asked him.

"You guys know eachother?" Zhuang seemed surprised, Akio had no idea what was going on at all.

"Yeah we used to study in the same school when we were children, how do you think Aoi chan knew me?" Alex shrugged.

"What's going on?" Akio had to interrupt.

"Sorry I just wanted to visit an old friend" Alex replied and moved past Akio to Keitarou "Hey there buddy, you seem to end up in hospitals lately"

"He's the guy I told you about" Zhuang whispered to Akio.

"Oh you mean the one who was doing an illegal experiment on Aoi san, trying to transition her from alpha to beta?" Akio whispered back.

"Yeah"  Zhuang whispered.

"The guy you got a crush on but he fooled and took advantage of you?" Akio whispered again.

"You don't have to mention that part if you already got who he is" Zhuang whispered with a twitching brow.

"You really fucked up, Yuki san" Alex said it out bluntly, even Akio was avoiding it.

Yuki puckered up, her eyes filled up too, she knew he was right and it pained her.

"Oye.." Akio grunted a bit, even though Alex wasn't wrong but now wasn't the time or place.

"Hey, come with me, let's get everyone refreshments" Zhuang took her by he wrist, taking her out.

That was surprising, the ever so selfish Zhuang caring for someone other than himself, Akio almost thought before sitting back down on his seat. Alex seated on the other side of the bed.

"Hey" Akio broke the ice and spoke first.

"Hmm?" Alex hummed gently stroking back the hair strands on Keitarou's forehead "Ah forgive me, I have no ill intent when I do this, I'm just having a kind of parental type of moment here" Alex cleared himself in case Akio misunderstood.

"It's not that" Akio seemed hesitant.

"Ask me" Alex replied with a gentle smile.

"Huh?" Akio didn't quite understood.

"You want to ask me about Kei chan's past right?" Alex got what Akio really wanted, Akio gave a silent nod. He wasn't sure if he was right in asking this person but all he thought right now was that he can't be in the dark anymore. Yuki wouldn't tell him too clearly, she only told him that he was assaulted and that it resulted in psychological disturbances due to PTSD. She couldn't either, facing Natsuro took alot of effort already. Besides she was pretty traumatized herself to say anything about it. Moreover, the news that Keitarou's father and biological mother were already on their own airplanes by now they were probably going to arrive in a day or two. Not to mention, Mari's mother was already trying to suppress the matter with media, lying about why Keitarou was hospitalized and Aoi's parents were helping her. No one in media was allowed to visit Keitarou, there was a strict guarding by the hospital too, to keep his room number private.

But..just the thought of Keitarou and Mari's father coming back was quite a scary news in itself...he was even more scared how Mari would react and even Keitarou...

things seemed to be really taking a very twisted path, everyone was beginning to face their demons...

They seemed to be losing...

"AOI SAN!" I screamed holding her after she took the blow and fell with a bleeding head, blood trickling down over her eye lid, almost looking like red tear drops from her flashing blue eyes.

"You're okay.." She reached her hand and cupped my cheek before sitting up.

"WE MUST TAKE YOU TO HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW ! I'LL CALL AN AMBULANCE, HOW MANY FINGERS ARE THESE!? DO YOU KNOW YOUR NAME!...!" I started hyperventilating and called the ambulance with shivering hands "THEY'RE COMING, STAY WITH ME!"

"Calm down, its not as deep as it looks I'm fine" She said and stood up

"No don't stand! stay still!" I tried to persuade her, she grabbed my wrist and suddenly ripped off the whole arm of my shirt, tying it around her forehead.

Stop...Aoi san don't hurt yourself anymore....eh...wait..she's talking normally now..does she?

"Mari" Aoi looked at her.

"So you finally remember huh?" Mari who stood there emotionless even after what she had done, reacted mockingly.

Aoi didn't say anything she just took a deep breath and then suddenly swung her arm slapping Mari in the face. Mari was taken by surprise but then she spat blood and came onto Aoi grabbing at her hair. Aoi grabbed her hair too and both started slapping eachother violently.

No way! stop, I have to stop them...but I feel like right now, if I interrupted them it won't work, they look like wild animals right now, this doesn't even seem like a cat fight, more like two lionesses fighting..! I moved back.

"YOU B!TCH I KNEW YOU COULDN'T BE TRUSTED THAT'S WHY I HAD  TO FOLLOW HIM!" Aoi yelled, I've never seen her speak this loud before, she gut punched Mari who punched her in the jaw.

"NO IT'S FUKIN YOU WHO CAN'T BE TRUSTED! NONE OF YOU! ALL OF YOU KILLED HARU CHAN AND NOW YOU'RE FUKIN MOVING OVER LIKE NOTHING AND FALLING IN LOVE WHILE YOU ALL TOOK MY HAPPINESS!" Mari screamed back, I knew it! she wasn't over it at all.

"HE TOOK HIS OWN LIFE AFTER WHAT HAPPENED! YOU KNOW WE DIDN'T MURDER HIM!" Aoi yelled back while spitting blood, her jaw badly bruised.

"YOU WERE THERE WITH HIM IN THE HOSPITAL! YOU NEVER SAVED HIM! NOBODY SAVED HIM! YALL JUST WATCHED,I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT DAY WHO TRIED TO FIGHT DAD! I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO TRIED!" Mari screamed smashing down Aoi by using her hair despite being quite little, mostly because Aoi was wobbly due to her bleeding head

"WE WERE CHILDREN! WE WERE SCARED! YOU MOVED BY YOUR PROTECTIVE INSTINCT TOO SINCE HE WAS YOUR FATED PAIR, OTHERWISE YOU WOULD'VE FROZEN TOO!" Aoi tried to defend her self from the punches since Mari was sitting on her stomach now.

"YOU WERE THERE YOU WERE WITH HIM IN HOSPITAL, I ENTRUSTED HIM TO YOU..YET YOU...YET.." Mari finally broke into tears screaming really hard and letting go of Aoi pulling her own hair instead now.

Aoi's eyes filled up with tears too "I KNOW! ALL THESE YEARS! I'VE LIVED WITH THE MEMORY OF HIS SMILING FACE WHEN HE JUMPED FROM THE FIFTH STOREY! I KNOW! YOU KNOW I LOVED HIM TOO! YOU KNOW WELL!..I TRIED TO ATONE MYSELF TOO BY TRYING TO JUMP OFF TOO! BUT THIS STUPID STUPID BOY SAVED ME!" She pointed towards me "HE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND SHIT AND I PUT HIS LIFE IN DANGER TOO THE FIRST TIME WE MET AND YET THIS STUPID BOY DARED SAVED ME!"

Eh?! Me? I thought she was attempting suicide from school building back then because she put me through trouble with my friends right after we met the first time...but hearing this...

kind of...

makes me mad...

It was because of someone else... her reason for trying to take her life, her guilt, her efforts, her reason of putting herself through the transition, why she is who she is..it's all because of someone else..I shouldn't be thinking like this...but it makes me....I clenched my fists...I wasn't your first  love, was I?

"DON'T YOU THINK I'VE FELT THE PAIN TOO? I'VE FELT IT THROUGH AND THROUGH, I PROMISED MYSELF NOT TO FALL IN LOVE AGAIN..! NEVER AGAIN! AND THEN THIS KID CAME UP AND FUKED UP EVERYTHING FOR ME! HE'S FUKED UP MY HEART FOR SO LONG, YOU KNOW WHY?" Aoi pushed back Mari and sat up "BECAUSE HE SAID HE'LL WAIT FOR ME..THAT IF I WERE TO TAKE MY LIFE, I'D BE LEAVING HIM BEHIND TO LIVE WITH THE GUILT OF NOT BEING ABLE TO SAVE SOMEONE SPECIAL...HOW CRUEL CAN YOU BE SAYING THIS TO A PERSON WHO'S LOOKING FORWARD TO ENDING THEIR LIFE?" She yelled, eh I saved yo life woman, why are you phrasing it like I'm some selfish brat who told you to live for him.

"SO WHAT THEN?! YOU DECIDED YOU HAD THE RIGHT TO LIVE JUST BECAUSE SOME SELFISH BRAT WHO KNEW NOTHING TOLD YOU TO DO SO? OTHERWISE HE'D BE LONELY AND GUILTY?" Mari pulled at her hair.

"No..." Aoi mumbled "because..I know the feeling of being left behind, the feeling of not being able to save someone, the feeling of leaving the ones who are still alive in guilt and misery...how could I do the same thing to an innocent boy who told me with so much feeling that he'd wait for me...how could I put him through the same thing that Haru chan put me through? I'm living for this brat right now! I owe him life, my everything, he's waiting for me and I won't disappear on him like Haru chan disappeared on me! of all people you should know that!!!" Aoi's voice became lowered at this point, jeez don't make me sound that selfish, do you love me or not love me?! I don't understand anymore..but if you don't at this point I can only help kill you for it...she seemed all whirly and wobbly, I could hear the sirens of the ambulance closing in.

"I just..I want everyone to suffer...I want everyone that did that to him to suffer..unlike you I don't have anyone waiting for me to keep me at the verge of sanity..the only way of dealing with me right now is to kill me..." Mari lowered her voice as well.

"You're..stupid...you have no one? are you sure?...are you sure there was no one besides you all this while? are you sure there was no one who took upon your insanity and your cruelty with open arms? are you sure there was no one next to you who was willing to become a demon for you? to keep up with your pace?" Aoi questioned with heavy breathing, Mari's eyes widened, for a moment there she had a vague flash of pretty grey eyes looking down at her with rivulets of wavy black hair suspended over the face.

'Mari chan..' she almost heard Yuki's voice in her head, again and again. She was in every memory, there wasn't even a single memory that Mari could recall where Mari was without her..

No memory...

where she was alone...

"That person deserves better" Mari mumbled, eh? who does she mean exactly? 

"Is that the logic you use to keep pushing her away?" Aoi san seemed to be speaking a little funny too right now, I immediately rushed to her when she fell face forward and saved her before she could hit the ground.

"Say Mari..what If I promise you to get Haru chan justice this time for sure?" Aoi san said,both Mari and my own eyes widened..what does she mean by that? 

Aoi chan coughed a bit, the ambulance had arrived too

"I'll take down the Kirihara and Himari family, our parents will pay for their sins, you're right..nobody took a stand for him, the justice he was supposed to get was bought..The buyers and sellers both will be punished...I'll create an example out of him, me and Kei chan will pay for our sins too until you forgive us! we'll pay by getting him justice" She whispered with heavy breaths.

"What will you do..?" Mari asked gulping nervously

"I would do what I should have done long ago.." Aoi san whispered while her eyes slowly closed and her lips muttered one last time before she passed out 

"I'll start a riot..."
