11 Chapter 11: A New Skills

"Mc pov"

Just like I planned, right after the teleportation, I used my speed to disappear from everyone's site before anyone could get out of their shock.

Currently, I am about 40 meters up on top of a ledge watching everything.

Just like in the anime 2 magic circles are activated on both sides of the bridge. from one side large number of skeleton soldiers came out, on the other a huge monster known as the behemoth came out roaringly intimidating everyone.

Meld seeing the behemoth immediately ordered them to retreat, but because of the current situation, all the students were in panic so they were unable to immediately comply with Meld's decision.

Kouki ignoring Meld's order used his powerful skills to push back the Behemoth. But none of his attacks had any effect on the Behemoth. It can be clearly seen that Behemoth was on a completely different level from any of the monsters he had faced until now.

Then I looked towards Shizuku, she was panicking, looking everywhere, looking for someone, most likely me. But to her distress, she didn't find me.

On the other hand, some of the students were fighting against the skeletons. It's clear to see they won't be able to hold it for much longer.

I shifted my attention to Hajime. He was running towards Meld and Kouki.

After that, everything happened just like in the anime. Hajime convinced Kouki to lead others to get out of this place.

Then Hajime used his transmute skill to slow down the Behemoth, and after everyone had retreated. He started running towards others.

In the meantime, all the other student were in formation using their magic attack to slow down the Behemoth. It almost worked, but a stray magic attack or should I say precisely targeted magic attack suddenly hit Hajime. He was flung toward Behemoth. Just at that time, the behemoth in anger used a large attack on top of the bridge and the whole bridge shook. Not able to take so much force the bridge collapsed.

Both Hajime and Behemoth started to fall into the Abyss. In sadness, Kaori was also about to jump and try to save Hajime, but Shizuku stopped her from doing anything rash.

Meld then hurriedly regrouped with everyone and left for the entrance. After making sure they left. I floated down with floating magic standing on the broken bridge and looking at the abyss, where the 'Monster of the Abyss' was about to be born.

"..."

It was not a good feeling to watch some of my friends suffer, but for a better future, it need to be done. At least I got Teleportation magic out of this situation.

Soon after I also start floating down towards the Abyss. While I was floating downward there were a few bridges like the one that broke.

I pass by them. This labyrinth is quite deep and the deeper I go the darker the surroundings become. I had to summon a light orb to see things. I was thinking it might be good to create a magic sensing skill that will help me sense my surroundings.

In my surroundings, there are many caves with jagged stones jutting out from the walls. If I haven't used a light spell, I might crash with one of these stone pillars.

Seeing all this my desire to create a sensing skill intensified.

While I was floating down in silence. I encountered no monsters nearby. Well, this is not a place where a normal monster can survive anyway.

Soon I reached an open space at the bottom of this place. I looked around my surroundings there were 2 gates on opposite sides of the room. One is similar to the entrance gate, and the other gate is made of black stones giving an ancient and mysterious feeling.

"So, this is the real entrance of the Orcus labyrinth." At first, I thought I would be landing someplace near Hajime but it looks like I am at the very entrance of the real Orcus labyrinth.

I wonder how Hajime entered. He might have fallen through some hidden crack, and where is that Behemoth I didn't see while I was floating? Whatever, I walked towards a stone gate and some stairs were going downwards. Besides the cave, their a stone panel with something written on it.

"To those who have been able to reach this place, I one of the seven liberators welcome you to the true Orcus labyrinth. I pray May the blessing of the gods never reach you".

Reading the stone plate I wonder with a smirk what would his face look like if he knew that I took a shortcut to get here. It will be amusing that's for sure.

Well now that I think about this place is quite a good place to train my magic. No monster and disturbance around. I will take it as the moment I enter the dungeon I have to be ready for fight.

It's decided I will stay here to train my magic. So which magic should I choose first thinking about it I pulled out my status plate from the pouch on my hip.

"..."

Well, fire magic is out, don't wanna die from oxygen loss.

Water magic is ok.

Wind and Earth magic are fine too.

Light and Dark magic I have to test to find out.

And lastly

Barrier magic, Healing magic, and Fertility magic I will use them later.

Let's go with water magic.

Before I start pla... I mean training with magic I was searching for a proper stone to sit.

Hmm…

"Oh, found yaa…", I found a stone close to the entrance of the labyrinth gate.

I sat down on top of the stone and started to feel the magic in my body. It didn't take me much time to find my magic, with Archmage's immense magic pool it was child's play. In just a few minutes I got a proper grasp of my magic.

Now I have to try and sense magic outside of my body.

"Hmmm…"

Compared to the magic flowing inside my body it was a lot tamer. So, it was easy. It is not like it was hard to control my own magic. With Archmage's help controlling magic is like breathing.

"I got it", now let's try to interact with it. So, I decided to send a pulse of magic like a sonar to get a read on my surrounding magic. It took me about a minute.

It suddenly happened in an instant my whole vision changed. My vision became vivid, no, not just my eyes all of my senses became heightened. It was like my vision went from 360p to 4k. I can see everything clearly, and it also comes with 360 vision and I can see in the dark.

"This is awesome", I was excited to be able to recreate an anime skill, precisely a skill known as magic sense from Tensura. "I will call it mana sense", It will be very useful in any fight, with this skill I will have no blind spots.

Just when I thought this skill would be very useful in the battle, a sudden jolt of pain hit my head "Uuugghhaaaa…", at that moment I felt like someone was stabbing needles on my head continuously from every side.

It was very painful. I hurriedly turn off my new skill. Damn, too much information was sent to my brain. My current body won't be able to handle it, at least not yet.

I will have to get used to it, with my adapting body, I should be able to handle it in future.

I took a rest for an hour.

After my headache was gone, I started to train with water magic.

I started imagining a magic ball in my hand.

Soon water ball the size of a tennis ball came into my hand.

"Oh… oh… I am using magic the real magic" I said with an excited grin.

I observed the magic ball for quite a while. Then I decided to use the entrance of the true labyrinth gate as a target. I pointed the water ball at the gate and released it.

But things did not turn out the way I thought, the water ball just dropped where I was sitting.

"..."

"..."

I was confused as to why didn't the water ball launched towards the gate. after thinking for a while I understood.

I didn't use my magic to propel the water ball, so it didn't gain momentum and just fell.

Then I have to properly imagine the whole process. With a new determination, I started my magic training.
