9 Chapter 9

"It was a big mistake to come here like this. That shitty game didn't even have any of these types of cold features in it. Why the hell did those f*cking developers not mention it will be so cold here?' Yup! Looks like I have gone sanile due to the cold and spouting nonsense in my mind right now. 

'Grrrr. Where is that damn place? What will happen if I can't find it?' While I was dreading my upcoming fate, something unexpected happened. An avalanche. YUP! A F*KING AVALANCHE. 

At first, I didn't feel anything wrong. The entire landscape was snowy white. Adding these freezing winds, my body was already numb. 

But out of a sudden, a "whumph" sound resounded in the entire area. And in front of my very own eyes, the snowy layers covering the sloped terrain started slowly compressing, shifting, and finally sliding downhill. 

Within seconds, the entire scenario changed. Looking at the huge ball of snow forming in front of me, my mind became blank. Not even a curse came out of my mouth. The only thing I could think of right now was, The only word every cell of my body could scream right now was, "RUN!"

Without any further delay, I started running. The previous numbness that was groping my entire body a minute ago, disappeared without leaving any traces behind. 

Huff…..huff...huff…..huff…..huff...

'I will die, I will die, I will die, I will die.' gritting my teeth, the same thought repeated in my mind while I ran.

I can hear the sound increasing rapidly. And that the avalanche is nearing me. The ground started trembling under my feet, like some earthquake.

Adrenaline was surging inside my body. Even in this cold weather, my back was starting to drench in sweat. My body heat rising.

It didn't take long for the avalanche to reach me. I was hit from behind with the massive wave of snow. It started to dash carrying me with its flow. 

I had never experienced something like that ever. It felt like my entire world was turned upside down. I was being dragged by the waves like a ragged doll. I tried to balance myself but to no avail. Honestly, at that time, all my life events were flashing in my eyes. I could see the grim reaper itself standing in front of me, with a scythe in his hands, a malicious look on his face. 

Death was just nearing the door when I felt the ground beneath me disappear. Instead of it, a hole appeared out of nowhere. 

The sudden emergence of the hole caused me to fall into it. And I landed deep inside the hole with a "Thuph!"

"AHH! Oww! Oww!" I screamed, due to pain. The sudden impact of hitting the hard ground may have caused some of my bones to broke. 

This was the first time I have experienced this much pain. And honestly, it was not a pleasant feeling at all. I mean I am no superhuman. Heck! I don't even know how to use magic. Then, how could I come unscratched from this fall?

After wailing for a few moments, I finally calmed down. I stood up slowly while holding my left shoulder, which might have been dislocated.

Dusting the snow from my body, I looked around my surroundings. The insides were dark. But the space around here felt massive. Like some cave.

"Now. How do I get out of here?...….." I muttered.

Then, I saw a path at the corner leading to the inside of the cave. It was dark so I couldn't exactly pinpoint where exactly this path leads to. 

'Should I go and check out, where is this going?'

Maybe something dangerous was lurking there. Waiting for me to make a move.

But I could see no other way to get out. And it's impossible to climb up the hole on my own.

Pondering myself, I released a deep sigh. 

"Haaaa~"

"I have no other choice. It's the only road I could see to find a way out." saying so, I began to walk towards the cave.
