1 chapter 1- Psychiatric sanatorium

Last 75 days of Liang Junhuan life.

01 October 2018.

The first day that junhuan admitted to the health centre.

At Shanghai mental health centre.

Junhuan room.

10am

Zheng Kerling and Shawn Li stares towards junhuan from outside of his room. Junhuan was smiling and playing with a soft toy panda.

Sam Li, Shawn's brother walk towards them.

"You still have the guts to come here and see him!? Tell me! Tell me why you tell such things to him!? I did a DNA test for Junkai and Junhuan! They're both father and son!" Sam asked angrily.

"I have my own happy family. I am scared he will come to fight with me for the custody of my son!" Kerling replied anxiously.

"Scared that he fight the custody of your son!? You think he is able to?! Maybe next life! There is no way he is able to fight with you anymore!" Sam said loudly.

Shawn pulls Sam coat tightly….

"Bro what you mean by that?! Can you explain clearly?!" Shawn asked anxiously.

"Thanks to you all! Not because of how you all treated him, will he become this state of mind now!? He.. he cannot afford to be pronounced as a mental person! If he stay here he will die even faster! He already have late stage bone cancer! Cells have already spread to his lungs." Sam replied angrily and suddenly broke down into sadness.

"What?! He got bone cancer since when?!" Kerling asked anxiously.

"Could it be due to the bad injury to his knee when he was 19?" Shawn asked.

Memories brought back to 2009.

2nd year of University.

Tsinghua university, Beijing.

05 January 2009.

Outside the main gate of the university.

It was the second year of university for Kerling. Kerling was crossing the street opposite the university when her mobile rang. She took up her phone without noticing there was an ongoing lorry speeding towards her.

Junhuan who often followed her, saw and quickly pushed her away. He fell and the lorry ran across his right knee without stopping.

Kerling quickly ran towards him…..

"Sir! Sir! Someone! Please! Quickly call the ambulance! He is bleeding badly!!" Kerling shouted loudly.

Many onlookers stared at both of them but no one except Shawn calls 120…..

"Please quickly send an ambulance to the main entrance of Tsinghua university! There was a student been ran over by a lorry!" Shawn said loudly.

"How's the victim now?" An officer asked.

"His right knee is bleeding badly and panting profusely." Shawn replied.

"Is there any adult or medical personnel around?!" The officer asked.

"Oh! I immediately get my brother! He is an internship doctor now!" Shawn replied loudly.

"Put on speaker mode, we will speak to the person next to the victim." The officer said.

Shawn quickly rushed to the medical studies unit in the university.

Tsinghua university.

Medical studies unit.

Shawn ran as fast as he could to the medical unit.

"Sam Li! Where are you?!" Shawn shouted loudly with a loud speaker.

Sam quickly rushed out from his class.

"What the hell are you shouting?!" Sam asked angrily.

"Bro…bro, Junhuan met into an accident at the main gate of the school. His..his leg seems to…" Shawn haven't replied finished, Sam grabs some wooden planks near a construction area and ran with Shawn to the accident area.

Kerling helped Junhuan pulls off his jeans and presses on the wound. Junhuan right leg and arm bleeding badly.

"Mis..Miss, are you fine? My.. my legs and arms are..are very pain." Junhuan asked softly.

"Don't worry. The ambulance is on the way." Kerling replied.

Sam and Shawn rushed over…..

"Shawn, break the planks into few pieces!" Sam said loudly.

Sam pulls off his inner jacket and pull the cloth. He put the wood planks in between Junhuan right leg and hand.

"God damn! When is the ambulance coming!? The weather is so cold and his pulse is dropping!" Sam asked anxiously.

Junhuan pulls Sam hand…..

"Bro..bro, please…please don't inform my father that I am injured." Junhuan replied and fainted.

In less than five mins, the ambulance came.

Huaxin hospital.

Outside of emergency room.

"Who is the patient relative? Please make the payment first?" A administration officer asked.

"I will go and make the payment." Kerling replied.

Shawn kicked the chair...

"Stupid guy! He know his body always easily sick yet he still protect her and got hit instead! Followed her for almost a year yet he don't even dare to reveal his feelings to her!" Shawn said angrily.

"He never even say hello to her?! Why he behave like that? He is a high earner hacker, and he so handsome, I am sure Zheng kerling will be interested with him." Sam replied.

"But he got a heavy gambler father and he always fall sick who wants to be with him?" Shawn asked.

Kerling coming back to the emergency unit, overheard their conversation.

"That guy like me?!" Kerling asked shockingly to herself.

An hour later, Junhuan was sent to the ward and the doctor came out.

"Who is Liang Junhuan relative?" The doctor asked.

"I am his close friend. He have no relative. He is an orphan." Shawn replied.

"He fractured his right knee and right arm. He have to be hospitalised for three weeks." The doctor said.

In the ward.

"You and my brother look after junhuan first. I go and get his laptop and buy dinner for him." Shawn said.

Kerling nodded her head.

"Ay he is staying alone by himself. He is quite pitiful. His mum died from cancer when he was 15. At 16, his dad became a heavy gambler. Whatever he earns were used to pay for his debts. On his 17th birthday, his dad nearly sold him to a triad, forcing him to work in a gigolo bar. Luckily Shawn informed me and we managed to save him out from the bar. That time he already worked there for a week. He was very frightened. He is a gifted child. At the age of 12, he already knows how to use the computer and hacked into small companies." Sam said.

"No wonder he looks very weird. He always carry his laptop everywhere." Kerling replied.

"Before the incident he was a very jovious and sunny guy. Love to smile and crack jokes. He managed to get a scholarship in Tsinghua." Sam said.
