11 The Prophecy

He jumped without hesitation up a tree and onto a strong branch, confusing Mo Hai, who was afraid of being left alone in the middle of a fight. Perhaps she can build a fire and burn this spider b*tch to death! She only needs a lighter and one of those canisters of propane, and which she has just that.

She realized she doesn't have enough time to go through the bag.

Disappointed but determined, she decided to burn the entire thing. After all, it wasn't anything important inside anyway; just a toothbrush with ruined bristles, a chocolate bar, and a scarce amount of bug-filled rice.

She made a mental note that the only valuable items were the pot, propane stove, and canisters, everything else was quite useless.

Retrieving a lighter from her back pocket, she ignited the flame and tossed it towards the bag, which quickly caught on fire and began to smoke.

One of the canisters had a hole, and gas started to leak, which led to an unexpected, yet somewhat useful, gas leak.

In a decisive moment, she threw the flaming bag at the spider demon, retreating to a safe distance as it exploded with fury. The fire, catching onto the tall grass, spread quickly, and flames began to engulf the surrounding area, growing larger by the minute.

Beguiled and enthralled by the destruction she had caused, all she could hear was the roaring of the fire and the ear-piercing screams of the demon and her army.

Overall, it was an unexpected, albeit exciting, turn of events.

Zou Guanting is in shock as he watched everything around him burn. When he climbed up the tree earlier, he had planned on scoping out the demons' vital spot so he could strike at the right time.

But now, as he see his beloved angel burning everything in sight, he was amazed that she had it in her to do something like this. He knew she is a skilled fighter - he had seen her take down those creatures with ease using just her dagger - but he had never imagined that she could control fire like this.

Despite his awe, Zou knew they needed to get out of there fast. They were surrounded by nothing but flammable kindling, and there is a serious risk of becoming burnt alive.

While he thought burning the demon alive was a good strategy, the potential danger to themselves is simply too high.

***

There is a strikingly handsome blonde man, whose hair was braided in a single braid that cascaded down his back. He stood inside a tall tower staring intently at the distant smoke and flames, as he coughed into his fist.

Despite his delicate features and fair complexion, he looked sickly beautiful. However, he managed to smile slightly by curling his lips upward in a small smile.

As he gazed into the distance, he knew the prophecy had come true - his long-awaited mate had arrived just as the prophecy had foretold.

"A goddess with wondrous eyes,

Descending from the celestial skies.

Through the fires she boldly strode,

And unto the people, her wisdom glowed, Her voice, sweet melody to the ear, Proclaimed a message, crystal clear. With a heart as pure as the morning dew, She will bring hope and joy to the few. In times of trial and of strife, She is a beacon of light and life. Her name shall endure, forevermore, A goddess of wisdom, and a source of adore."

He repeated the poem repeatedly in an effort to understand its meaning. "Young prince, there is a fire spreading from the west and south," someone yells as they storm into the room.
