1 Chapter 1

Life had always been a dull and monotonous thing. I felt like another cog in a system going through routine, never stopping, never changing.

I never felt compelled to do anything productive. The only reason I did things was because it would be beneficial toward my future. However, what about the things that I want to do. Well, there was none. I only chose the easy way out.

Getting into the closest college, choosing the simplest major, and thinking of what easy job I can do in the future.

Well, that is what I am thinking while driving home. Even driving home seemed very troublesome to me. Well, all these brooding thoughts have one thing in common, it is that I am lazy. Nothing more, nothing less.

Laziness led to all the subfactors that I listed out. Kind of sad if you ask me.

Anyways, while driving home, I spot a little cat in the middle of the road. It just looked left and right with curiosity written on its eyes.

After seeing such a display, I couldn't leave it out to die now could I. That would just leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I quickly got to the side of the road to leave my car there. I walk out and jog towards the cat while trying to stop the cars along the way.

When I reach the cat, I have to say that it is the most adorable cat I have seen. As I pick up the cat, I see a truck speeding towards me.

I knew that I couldn't get out of the road on time. That didn't mean I gave up though.

As I turn around towards my car, I see it speeding towards me. I cried internally knowing that some bastard stole my car while I was trying to save the cat.

I look down to the little cat and say, "Well little buddy, this is the end of the line for both of us?"

Then bam, the car and truck hit us at the exact time. I was plunged into darkness with my consciousness still intact.

I spent who knows how long in that darkness until I felt myself shift. I suddenly shifted to another darkness. This darkness felt wet. I could hardly move around. I figured I transferred to a womb, but something felt wrong.

I then heard a sound inside my head.

[Ding]

[System starting up… please stand by… 50%... 70%... 90%... 99%...]

[Error wrong system installed forcefully extracting system]

[Error cannot be done… 100% system installed]

[Error wrong system… installing another system 10%... 22%... 40%... 70%... 90%... 100%]

[Error two systems fused with host's soul, combining both systems…1%]

All of a sudden, I heard a different voice inside my head, but it sounded very cold.

[Warning!!!! Violation of code 32d of having two systems trying to fuse. Beginning termination of soul.]

I suddenly felt as if my mind was being torn apart. It was the most painful thing I had ever experienced in my entire life. I knew that I was going to die, but there was nothing I could do.

However, the pain did not last long, and it felt as if I was being healed by something unknown. Then that cold voice came back.

[Error unable to terminate soul. Phenomenon discovered; systems are permanently being fused with the soul.]

[Unable to terminate soul because it will destroy the systems. Leaving the soul alone forever due to interference.]

Then everything goes silent. I was honestly stunned. What kind of voodoo magic was this? TWO SYSTEMS AND I ALMOST DIED FOR HAVING TWO SYSTEMS??!! I was honestly surprised. I did not know what was going on. Can systems honestly get errors.

[Fusion of two systems and host's soul permanently proceeding…1%]

And so, I waited for a while for the update to be done, but nothing happened.

And so, a few months passed in here. I was honestly very boring. All I did was sleep wake up, reflect on my past life, think about my future, and sleep.

I checked the progress of the systems, and it is only at 50%. What exactly could have happened.

A few months more had passed, and I could feel that I was about to be born. Also, the system was 99% ready. When I am born, the system would probably be ready.

Then suddenly the most excruciating pain occurred to me. When I was popping out, I heard a ding and heard the system say, "System is ready nya and host is popping out nya."

I couldn't see a single thing, but I surprisingly felt comfortable when I popped out. I was too tired and the last thing on my mind before I passed out was why did the system say nya and why did my body feel as if I wasn't a human.
