"Come on down, now! You don't want to be late on your first day at the academy!" Mikoto called out as she quickly served her cooked meals on each plate.

Kiara was humming to herself when she suddenly heard her mother out from her room, and she quickly placed her equipment in her pouch and bag. Kiara also straightened her hair a little before finally getting her only notebook and walking out of the door.

Again, she was greeted by her two brothers. When they've reached the dining room, they all sat down and started eating.

"Do your best, alright?" Fugaku suddenly spoke up as he turned towards Kiara and Sasuke. Both gave him a respectful nod.

"Hai. We'll do our best."

Once they had finished their breakfast, the duo bid their parents and elder brother a farewell before leaving.

As Kiara and Sasuke made their way towards their new academy, they wondered what the future would hold for them. For better or for worse?

The walk was silent, but it was comfortable. It did not take long either for the two to finally reach their destination. Once they did, they instantly walked up the steps of the institution and walked down the halls.

"We need to go to the reception office and ask them for our timetable," Sasuke said.

"Right."

Once Kiara had received her timetable, she and Sasuke went on separate ways to find their homeroom class.

Kiara wandered around the school halls, searching left and right coolly for her classroom. Along the way, a couple of boys had either begun whispering to their friends secretly about the new girl or had started drooling over her.

Of course, the Uchiha was completely oblivious to this. She had better things to think of.

When she finally found her classroom, she slid the door open and walked in. At first, it was quite loud, but once she started heading towards an empty seat by the window, everything just seemed to stop. All the students in the class were so captivated by the new girl's beauty and just observed her.

Kiara didn't even take notice of the people in her new class. She just sat quietly on an empty spot, crossing her arms and closing her eyes, waiting for class to start.

After a good few minutes of just muting out the world around her, everything turned back to normal. Only this time, Kiara was greeted by a group of males who stood infront of her. She grimaced at the sight when she looked up to see who had approached her.

One would've expected a smile or a friendly greeting like any person would do. However, with Kiara, she did not.

While the males introduced themselves as Ryu, Eiichi, and Aiko, Kiara stared at them bored and simply gave them a nod. She acknowledged who they finally were but she didn't feel like socializing at that moment.

Kiara turned her attention elsewhere and started to look outside the window, staring at the blossom trees.

"So, what's your name?"

"...Uchiha Kiara."

"Ah, an Uchiha, huh? No wonder you look hot."

"Although, what's up with those eyes? Aren't they suppose to be... dark? Cuz like, that's the Uchiha's trait? And when the Sharingan is activated, it turns red and stuff like that?"

"Hmph," Kiara huffed internally, rolling her eyes in the process. Can't they just take a hint that I don't want to talk?

As the trio kept on insisting to ask more questions about the she-Uchiha, Kiara could feel herself slowly slipping into anger. She just wanted some peace and quiet.

"So anyway, I was wondering, maybe you'd like to sit with me?" Ryu smirked as he leaned slightly forward on Kiara's desk. He had the look in his eyes which made Kiara disgusted. She stared at him with the utmost disinterested expression you'd ever see.

"Why would I bother relocating myself if I'm already seated? If there weren't any seats left for me, then I would reconsider. Now please, let me have my space."

"Oh come on, I'm just trying to have fun with you, Uchiha. Why so serious all the time?" Ryu chuckled to his friends. "Do you like looking down at us just because your clan is so prestigious?" He taunted, making Kiara glare at him. "Aww, is the little doll affected?"

Before Kiara could slip her hands into her pouch to pull out a shuriken, another male stepped into the scene. She had seen him coming from the corner of her peripheral eye. The male had long brown hair but it was tied in a low ponytail, and he had beautiful lilac eyes.

Kiara knew these eyes. He's a Hyuga...

"I suggest you leave her alone."

"Oh come on, Hyuga.  We were just having fun," Ryu snickered along with his other peers. Obviously to the Hyuga, he was annoyed with them.

"I see nothing fun in what you are doing. Bullying a new student on the first day, let alone a girl, is just plain pathetic and childish of you three. Sometimes I even wonder how you are all able to reach the level we are in now if you have got a mind of a child." The Hyuga smirked which made the class erupt with chuckles and laughter. This comment even made Kiara release a small chuckle.

"S-shut up, Hyuga! It's not just the Uchihas who like to look down at us, it's you Hyugas as well!"

"If I were you, I'd watch your mouth. Next time, I won't let you get away with it. Now back away." The Hyuga then activated his byakugan just to prove his point, resulting the three males to scurry away in their seats, making sure they were as far away from the Hyuga and Uchiha as possible.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, I am. Thank you..."

"Hyuga Neji," The said male stretched his hand out to Kiara and she took it.

"Uchiha Kiara." She smiled lightly.

"A pleasure to make you acquaintance, Kiara-san. Those three have always been pricks ever since we were younger." Neji said nonchalantly. "It's time I've put them in their place."

"And you did a good job at doing just that," Kiara smirked, crossing her arms. Before she could say anything else, a male wearing green ninja clothing with bushy brows came up to her and Neji. He wore the widest grin she had ever seen anyone pull off. Behind him, was a female with two buns. She seemed like she was facepalming herself too.

Kiara simply stared at the two, not saying anything.

"So, you're the new girl everyone's been talking about! I'm Rock Lee! It's a pleasure to finally meet a beautiful woman such as yourself," The said male bowed politely and gave her a thumbs up. "I hope we can be friends!"

"I apologize. Lee can be very energetic and loud at times. Actually, scratch that -- most of the time." The female infront of Kiara smiled. "I'm TenTen, by the way. We are Neji's friends."

Kiara nodded, giving her and Lee a quick smile before it faded away. "Nice to meet you two."

"It was a relief to see that nothing else had happened. If Neji hadn't stepped in, who knows what might've happened." Lee commented.

"We saw and heard what those three pricks said to you. It's awful! Discriminating your clan, as well as Neji's." TenTen sighed.

"If it's not for the threats outside our village or the wars that has happened, this is what we deal with within our society." Kiara shrugged nonchalantly.

"Still, it's horrible!" Lee shook his head. "It's just not right."

"It is what it is, Lee." Neji muttered, closing his eyes with a frowned expression. He obviously faced his own share of having to deal with people like that, however, he made sure that it never got to him.

"So, Kiara-san... We were wondering if you'd like to hang out with us." TenTen smiled. "We could help you get settled in and make it more comfortable for you. You can trust us. We're not like them."

Kiara intensely stared at TenTen and thought about it for a while. No one else knew this but she had trust issues when it comes to trusting and making friends with anyone outside her family branch. The last time she trusted someone, well, it did not end well for her.

"TenTen, let's not push her." Neji frowned, however, he was stopped when the Uchiha decided to speak up.

"Look, I appreciate the offer, TenTen-san, but I prefer to keep things to myself." Kiara looked down a little. "Don't get me wrong, you seem like nice people... I just..."

"It's understandable!" TenTen waved it off with another reassuring smile, "Neji was like that too before. However, slowly but surely, we got him to hang out with us and now we're friends. I know it'll take time... Though, if you ever decided, just know that the offer is still up. We'd like to get to know you better." She said to Kiara.

Kiara though, simply nodded, acknowledging this. "Thank you for understanding..." After the small interaction she had with Neji, Lee and Tenten, a teacher finally walked into the room and greeted all of the students a good morning.

And then, the class began their learning sessions.
