[Mutation]

Use your stats to improve qualities which already exist, this increases the stat cap, but also makes each stat point worth more. Use essence from other beings to develop new qualities.

[Stat cap increase]

Strength cap increase (10 strength + essence)

Agility cap increase (10 agility + essence)

Constitution cap increase (10 constitution + essence)

[Power]

Minor Regeneration: 1 (can be increased using 5 constitution and Goblin's blood)

Kaiser looked at this and understood his ability. The stats had a limit because the human body cannot hold unlimited strength, therefore the ability one gains makes up for the limit. Yet with his ability he would be able to raise the limits and the amount they increase depends on what essence is used. If a monster which is very strong is used to increase it the limit will increase greatly, and if the monster isn't strong in that stat, then the limit will not increase much.

Regarding the abilities, using the Goblin's blood which is pure goblin essence, the regeneration which a human has can be increased since goblins are stronger in that sense.

With that Kaiser made his choice. He put all the free stat points into constitution, which made his bones ache but this time he wasn't in as much pain and then he increased his regeneration.

When he pressed on regeneration and increased it the Goblin's blood in his hand disappeared and suddenly he felt a very sharp pain in his bones, this was due to the constitution stat decreasing to 4. After a couple of minutes he got back up and also noticed his softened skin. Constitution also increased the toughness of the skin.

The pain was worth it Kaiser thought, in an unknown place with monsters all over the place who knew how many injuries he would suffer without being able to go to the hospital. It was a good investment.

He looked back at the still floating screen after all his thinking and then saw that his minor regeneration did not increase to 2, but instead to 5. He was shocked to see this but then thought about it and if he now had a goblins regeneration it made sense that it would be like that since monsters like these, beings beyond the current biological understanding would have much greater abilities.

He could feel his elbow being much better than before, but with the pace it had he thought it should be completely healed within a day.

Now it was not time to stand around, he had to level up more and get stronger. He had to get out of this tower and go find his family. He had to put an end to this.

And so he started walking towards the forest with the club in hand and within he saw another goblin. This time no quest notification popped up but he didn't care.

He snuck around in the bushes checking if there were other goblins waiting to pounce but there were none, this goblin seemed to be picking berries. He positioned himself facing the back of the goblin and pounced with the club over head.

[2 exp rewarded]

With a clean hit at the top of the head the goblin was dead. He looked around searching for tracks and followed them making sure to not be in the open as he did. Slowly signs of a primitive civilization started appearing, with random wooden outposts every now and then and eventually huts made of branches stuck with mud and dried grass for the roof. He could see multiple goblins and judging by the outpost size he assumed around 100 goblins lived there.
