Chapter 9: Murphy's Law

After talking to Shreya, Zen made his way to the the dorms. He deliberately took some detours to discover some peaceful areas. Zen always liked to be a bit secluded. This trait stemmed from his childhood. As a commoner, being ostracized from the groups in school was nothing new to the 7 year old Zen. Even Anna was not excused completely but still she was able to maintain her social skills thanks to Elizabeth.

After walking aimlessly for an hour, Zen decided to head over to his room. When he reached his room, he saw Anna waiting for him on the doorstep.

"You are here brother! How was the meeting?"

"Ahh! It was fine. Miss Shreya was doubtful about somethings so she called me to clear those up. I also gained a bit from this meeting?"

Anna's eyes shined listening to this. She knew her brother had thing for squeezing out benefits from unexpected things.

"What did you get brother?"

"Well for one, I am now the personal student of Miss Shreya. Also she got me enough credits to get by this year without any problem." Zen said with a smug smile.

"Yay! So when are you transferring me half the credits?" Anna said looking at Zen with an expectant expression.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Zen hold his phone near Anna's face and pointed using his another hand,

"Mine."

"Hooo. So you are gonna play like this, huh? How do you think Tanya will react when I will tell them about the tissues from 4 years ago? I guess I still have some videos. Let me find it."

"Huh? What? Nooo, I...I mean these credits are mine. But whatever's mine is yours too, right? Right? hahaha" Why does she not understand it was nothing perverted. No, Zen was not a pervert.

Zen was immediately covered in sweat. He knew how dangerous his mother and sister were when they threaten someone. Even his father, you take pride in being a man among men, was not spared.

"Good boy! So what's the plan tomorrow?"

"I have to meet Miss Shreya again at 6 tomorrow morning. Other than that, classes...."

As he was saying, he got a message from Shreya.

|Meet me tomorrow evening. I have some work to do in morning.|

"Well I guess we are just attending the classes." Zen said with relief. When he looked at his watch, it was already midnight. After today's events, Zen was already exhausted. Coming to the academy, then showing a young master his place and finally facing a hot demon. Not forgetting talking with a senior with F sized tits, it was a long day.

"Brother, stop thinking about perverted stuff and go to sleep."

"Hey! I am not..."

"I know your smile. Don't bother hiding. I am sure you were thinking about Miss Shreya or that senior whom you met, right?"

"...N..No I am not. Anyways, let's go to sleep. We have classes starting at 9 tomorrow. Good night!" He said and immediately entered the room while shutting the door loudly.

"Sigh. One day he will be thrown to the jail for being a pervert." Anna shook her head and left for her room.

At 8:45 AM, Zen, Anna, Tanya and James started walking towards the lecture halls after having breakfast. James, the self proclaimed food connoisseur, ate like there was no tomorrow. Tanya had to give him a "kneebar" to stop him from eating.

"Can you guys be a little more civil?" Zen was exasperated.

"Yes. Me and my brother are supposed to be commoners here."

"Huh? Why are you blaming me? It was this blockhead who didn't stop eating. I was just worried that we will be late for the class." Tanya felt wrong. She just did this because she didn't want her friends to be late.

"Shut up bitch! You were the only one who was disappointed when I said I won't eat anymore. Knowing you, you were just looking for a way to fight and break some bones. I still feel my leg will break away from my body when I take a step."

Yes! As soon as Zen said they were getting late, Tanya hit James to the ground and locked him using kneebar. Poor James couldn't even put his ribs down which he was eating ferociously. While Tanya had an ecstatic expression, James was swinging around half eaten rib piece shouting with something in his mouth.

Tanya just looked sideways and started whistling.

Zen and Anna couldn't help but laugh at the duo's dynamics.

"Well it really looks like the students here have a grudge with us over some past life or something. Just look at those eyes, it feels like they will devour us."

"Hahaha, well being commoners already put you in a bad spot with the nobles. Plus, Zen beating the crap out of a noble on his first day didn't help either. So, get used to it, I guess?"

"Yeah it doesn't matter. Oh, there's the hall, let's go in."

The hall was bustling with the students. Almost all the students in the class were new students, with some who were repeating the class. This class was on "Introduction to the Universe and Mutation" which was one of the mandatory course for every student. Other than this, students of each discipline had to attend classes on their own subjects. The other mandatory course was "The art of Battle". This course was based on martial arts, wars and weapons.

As soon as they settled, Anna saw 2 boys coming towards them.

"I sense disturbance in the force, brother."

"I suppose you are Zen and Anna, right? Get ready, you will fight us after the class. Commoners should know their place. You insects were born to serve us, not to sit with us."

Everyone was listening to him with an intrigued face. It would be a lie to say that the rest of the students were not interested in the fight.

"See, Murphy's law. Although I can decline challenges since I already fought yesterday, I guess there are people who still need to learn not mess with me or my sister."

Zen's smile distorted, "Don't worry, I will fight you. And after today, no one else will be willing to fight me."

Seeing that smile, the boys who came were regretting their decision a bit. But now that they challenged Zen and Anna, they couldn't back out either.

Suddenly a voice came out from the front.

"Alright students, welcome to your first lecture. Let's have a wonderful semester ahead."

Zen saw a small cute girl in her 30s walking with a notebook. Although didn't have the seductive aura, she still looked cute. She wore a long skirt with a green top showing her C sized tits.

It was the first official day for the Zen and Co.
