1 The End

I could see it (the end) approaching and nothing I could do to avoid it. 6 years of this hell and finally the end. I would like to see my family again all of them waiting I would like to think.

5 days ago the shelter I was staying in was attacked and obligated by a wave of mutated monsters.

That was when I lost my last will to live.

I could still remember six years ago when this hell started. Everyone was randomly paired together and then thrown into this hellish world called Albion.

The pairing although random had one constant thing going about it. In every group, there were at least 5 awakened, 3 unawakened and 2 geneless.

I was, unfortunately, Geneless but I was fortunately in a group with my brothers which protected me.

But our group had more unfortunate things happen to them. There were only

4 awaken and 2 unawakened with 3 geneless.

we started with a disadvantage there was no support awakened. I still remember my second elder brother always joking about how I was supposed to be awakened but my Mutated Energy was used to heal my legs.

How we survived the early days is still a mystery to me. I count it as one of the miracles I experienced in this world.

I lost everyone dear to me and now I am all alone.

Enough with my past, there is nothing I can do about that. The problem now is how I would escape the current situation I am in.

I could see no way out but to give up.

Today started like every other day in this dreadful world. (Exhausting)

We were moving to a new shelter not far from my previous shelter.

I joined this group a day ago after escaping the hell that was surrounding my previous shelter after it was destroyed.

We decided to move together to protect ourselves.

We were halfway through our journey when we were attacked by Humanoid mutants which were the worse type of mutants in this world as they were intelligent and could set traps.

They were the ones that destroyed my previous shelter.

The fight has been going on for almost an hour now. As most of us were either unaware or endless with only 6 awaken in a group of 27 we were easily overpowered.

It was only 6 of us remaining fighting around 4 Humanoid Mutants and multiple beast mutant. I saw no hope of us winning.

I couldn't help but wonder why we were still fighting.

I would like to think most of us were fighting only on instinct. Cause my brain for one was not giving us and was working on survival instinct rather than logic.

Suddenly the beast retreated as if they were giving us, which was not in their nature.

A short humanoid mutant appeared in front of John one of the few awakened left. In the blink of an eye, the mutant was gone and John dropped dead.

Before I could lay an eye on it again 2 more people were dead. Adrian was current fighting against it but I knew it was a while before he lost and I could help but feel I would be next.

When it teleported in front of me I could help but think about my family and how I would finally reunite with them.

I couldn't believe it out of all the time the panel chose to appear it choose now when a fucking mutant was about to stab me. But looking around me it seem like the whole world was paused no one was moving.

Looking back at the panel to make a decision. I could recognize a few of the dates.

The first 11 days were suddenly greyed out. The first I could select was {01-01-2054}. The day this hell started so I choose to go with.
