Breaking Dreams {Part-I}

The remote in her hand fell on the floor, making a loud noise that rang in the entire place. Dark, it was so dark that for a moment, she felt like she was drowning in a void less chamber where the air was also absent. Why was she panicking so much, it can be a power cut? Inverters will soon work as back up. Tara stands on shaky legs and spreads her hands in front of her like a blind person before wandering towards the main entrance, seeking help from one of the guards or maids. A squeal left her lips when suddenly, her leg collided with the glass table and she tripped, losing the balance. She fell on the floor and pain shoots all over her body. An agonized whimper reverberated through her chest and she struggled to breathe. Her ribs protested. She was a fool to misplace her phone all the time. It could have come in handy right now. Crawling back on her knees, she tried to stand back.
