A secret revealed

Six months have elapsed. I'm almost at the advanced level in both water God and sword God styles. I'm also growing better at magic. My brother Rudy was teaching me how to make figures with my magic. I was also providing Rudy suggestions on how to improve his magic by condensing it. Me and Rudy are also attempting to combine magic and swordplay because, for whatever reason, Rudy does not appear to have the knack for swordplay. Sylphiette is also progressing rapidly with her magic training, already casting intermediate-tier spells without the use of an incantation. Mom and Dad are doing well as well, despite Mom's illness during the last few weeks.

Today begins like any other day; I get up early to perform some sword training. But as I return to the house to clean up a little before breakfast, I see something I never expected to see in this or any other existence. Rudy, my brother, was praying to panties. I stood there stunned, starring at Rudy. Rudy and I exchange glances. I take a deep breath to calm myself and question, "What are you doing?" in a serious Stern tone.

Rudy stumbles He begins to say something, but stops, and it appears that he is at a loss for words. "Who did you steal those from?" I ask again. "I stole them from Roxy," Rudy admits quietly. Please don't tell Mom and Dad, even Lilia knows and hasn't said anything" he looks at me pleadingly, I shake my head, and with disappointment I add "I am informing Mom and Dad, and the reason Lilia hasn't said anything is because she's a maid." Typically, maids do not interfere with their employers' business; remember, Rudy, you outrank her; she will not jeopardize her livelihood by causing difficulty for us nobles."

Rudy's face turned white as a sheet at this moment as he falls on his hands and knees and sprawls out on the floor like a frog, "please, please, please don't tell Mom and Dad." You have no idea what this means to me." Rudy keeps saying "Roxy helped me in a way that no one else has having this is like having a part of her with me she's like my God" Hearing this makes me conflicted because, as I point out, "she's not a God, she's a person." "She is to me having this hear makes me feel comforted," Rudy responded. "I swear I'll never steal another panty for the rest of my life."

Hearing this, I'm torn about what the correct thing to do would be. Do I inform Mom and Dad, or do I believe Rudy when he says he won't do it again? I think about it for a moment before deciding that telling them would be worthless. Dad would probably say something foolish like "that's my boy" or something. Dad is not a good role model. Mom might give him a talking to, but she probably won't punish him too severely. Mom, in my perspective, can be overly gentle. So I take a long breath and say, "I won't say anything"

Rudy looks immensely relieved as he stands up and embraces me, saying, "You're the best brother I could have." I retort, "Flattery will get you nowhere," and we prepare for breakfast. We had a really great breakfast, with everyone at the table enthusiastically speaking about their plans for the day. Mom is going to the village clinic to get herself checked out because she has been sick for the previous week. Today is guard duty for Dad. And get ready because me and Rudy are going to tutor Sylphiette in reading, writing a little bit of magic and swordsmanship.

The ground is coated with fresh snow as Rudy and I make our way outdoors to practice our sword drills. The snow is almost halfway up our leg. After we finish our drills, we go to the tree where we will meet Sylphiette. I stopped picking her up at her house because I believed it would be bad for her. I want her to be able to stand up for herself. Despite the fact that we do on occasion. We stay warm thanks to a spell I and Rudy devised. It's known as the Earth hut. We use Earth match to build a little dome with a chimney so we can start a fire without choking and protect ourselves from the elements.

Rudy and I are waiting for Sylphiette. I was teaching Rudy some swordsmanship techniques. I interrupt his training by saying, "I need to tell you something that's been on my mind" Rudy looks at me and says, "Go ahead" I take a big breath and continue, "I want to tell everyone that I am a reincarnated person" Rudy waits for me to continue, so I respond, "I just feel guilty keeping it a secret." I understand you don't want anyone to know, and I respect that, so I won't reveal that you, too, are one. But I have to do it for me."

Rudy nods and adds, "OK, I understand." As we both smile, Sylphiette comes and asks, "What's going on?" Rudy and I both look towards her; she's often incredibly quiet, to the point that I can hardly hear her. I clear my throat and say, "I have something very important to tell you."

Sylphiette gulps and asks, "What is it?" I continue to say, "I am a reincarnated person," and Sylphiette asks, "What is reincarnation?" I respond, "Reincarnation is when your soul enters a new body and you are reborn as a new person."

I keep saying "Many scholars in my old world often wondered why the gods would choose to do this but to this day no one knows for sure we have theories." I pause to ensure Sylphiette is following the talk, which she appears to be, much to my amazement. I continue to tell her about my previous life, and at the conclusion, Sylphiette asks, "you are still you, aren't you?" I grin and reply, "I am me and no one else," she strokes her ear and says, "is that why you're talented?" I give a small nod and respond, "Yes."

Sylphiette smiles broadly and says, "That's good; that's all I care about; I don't care about your past life; I'm just glad you're still my friend." I hug her and reply, "Of course I am." With the mushy stuff out of the way, we begin our diverse swordsmanship and magic training. When it comes to swords, Sylphiette appears to have a little more talent than Rudy, however she may be limited to advanced rank.

After we spent the day playing and training After spending the day playing and training, it was time for everyone to go home. When we arrived home, we prepared for dinner, and Mom was in a better mood than normal. Mom says, "Today I went to the doctors and I found out what's wrong with me," pauses for a bit, then adds, "I'm pregnant." As everyone congratulated her, the entire table burst out joyful. Dad said something I thought was kind of silly, he blurted out "way to go Zenith." but everyone was thrilled and rejoicing. After a time, when things began to quiet down, I took a deep breath and said, "I have something very important to tell you."

Everyone comes to a halt and looks at me. "You can say whatever you need to say, I won't think any less of you," Mom replies, noting my apprehensive expression. After hearing that encouragement, I add, "I am a reincarnated person, which means I have lived another life besides this one." Mom and Dad were quiet, which made me anxious, until Mom breaks the silence and asks, "Is that why you seem a little more mature than you should be?" I nod my head.

Dad inquires, "How old were you when you died?" I can't believe you're an adult. Yes, you are wiser than you should be for your age. "But I wouldn't call you an adult." "I was 20 when I died," I said. I appear more childlike than an adult because reborn people like me still have a child's brain, which causes us to act childish at times. Despite the fact that I am a reborn being, I love you Mom and Dad more than you know."

Mom heaved a sigh of relief when she heard me say this, and then replies, "What about your other parents who raised you in that world?""My adoptive parents died when I was 9 years old," I respond. Mom looks surprised and says, "I see it makes me happy that you still love me." I smile and say, "Of course I'm going to love you guys, you still brought me into this world, it's just that my soul came from somewhere else, that's all." Dad inquired "how does this reincarnation thing work?" I rack my head, trying to figure out how to convey this.

Finally, I say, "In my world, the gods would decide who would reincarnate and where they would be sent." There could be a variety of reasons why someone reincarnates, but. We do understand some things. Number one, a person never reincarnates in their own world; instead, they reincarnate in their own universe.

This is a separate universe than the one I'm from, and only the creator could have put me here." Dad stated "I see I didn't know it was going to be so complicated" I kept going "as for why I'm here I don't know"

Mom comes around the table and gives me a big hug, saying, "none of that matters, all that matters is you're still my son." Dad nods in agreement, and it appears that this situation has been resolved. After all that me and Rudy go upstairs to go to sleep.I can only hope that these quiet days will continue.
