Soldiers and Servants

{Part 1}

A King wouldn't be a King, if he didn't have subordinates that served him.

Protagonists wouldn't be protagonists, if they didn't have side characters and antagonists that made them shine.

Heroes in stories usually have his sidekicks that supports his flaws to serve Justice.

4 years in this world, the egoistic little boy who thinks of himself thought of this things.

He trained Swordsmanship even for being a toddler and achieved great results, becoming an Intermediate rank.

The mysterious energy called Mana is really something else. It means he can surpass the bodily limitations of humans: lift boulders with a single finger, dash twice as fast as a horse, leap higher than a house...

Truly a power suitable for a main actor like him.

Physically though he's much more stronger than Intermediate rank, but Paul didn't teach him any Advanced techniques yet so he's stuck.

Paul told him to focus on his fundamentals first, and Reinhard could understand why. After all he also knows how important mastering fundamentals are from being a former athlete.

"Let's go out shall we?"

{Part 2}

One day when Reinhard was done doing his training routine for the day.

He decided to go outside and explore the village.

"Mom, I will be going outside for a little bit." Reinhard told Zenith who was tending the plants in her garden.

"Oh my Rein, be careful outside okay?"

"Okay Mom."

Since Paul was busy at work for the day, he could only ask permission to Zenith.

Honestly with Reinhard's egoistic nature, he could just go out on his own not caring about what other people thinks of him.

But he's just a little kid and he's not going to be an asshole to his family, especially to Zenith. He was just fond of her. It reminds him of his mother back on Earth.

And so he walked out of the house.

4 years, it was that long when finally he could go outside.

The golden wheats in the field, the blue sky, the wandering clouds, the fresh air of the rural area.

People are scattered doing some work in the fields. Some women and children helping household chores. And some other kids playing around some kind of game.

Everything was new to him.

"Well, its a beautiful village alright." He admired the scenery of this world.

{Part 3}

Let's talk about a certain little girl.

He was just a cute, young, and innocent girl born from a hunter's family.

Her father was a half elf, and mother a quarter beast race.

But despite all that, she had a unique trait that she didn't inherit from her parents or even ancestors.

Emerald green hair.

According to one passage, the closer a Magic race's hair is to green the more violent it is said to be.

Once upon a time, a race that shook all other races with fear, the Supard Race, had green hair as well.

And then, there's a theory that the one who led the Supard race, the Demon God Laplace, had green hair as well.

A detested color.

Because of that, starting when she began to walk outside, she was attacked by kids around the village.

She was ostracized and had mud balls thrown at her while being called an evil Magic Race because of her emerald green hair.

And that was also the same happening right now.

"Get out of the village you filthy demon!"

"Go back to the Demon Continent!"

"Go away!"

She didn't understand why children of her age would always try to hurt her.

Why did this things happen to her?

And thus she decided to resist. She gathered up the courage and decided to hit back with her tiny hands.

"Look at it, it's starting to fight back!"

"Just stay down and don't resist!"

Instead, she felt pain.

The little girl felt hopeless in the world. She thought that other than her parents, she had no other friends. She couldn't change the color of her hair. She couldn't do anything.

She tried to resist, but she would be hit, kicked, and subjected to painful things.

To the children, it was just a game. Beating up the lone child with a different colored hair. Gathering their strength together to defeat the demon. It was that sort of game.

Then, that was the time when her savior appeared.

"Hey... is it fun?... Hitting people?"

The kids that were hitting her stopped and looked at a lone boy standing in a certain distance neither too far or near.

"Who are you kid?" The leader of the kids looked at him.

"I said is it fun hitting people. Answer the damn question, you peasant trash." The boy looked at them like they were some maggots below humans.

The leader who got insulted looked angry. "Bastard, acting so high and mighty sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. Let's beat his ass!"

The children that were bullying her moved their attention towards the boy. She was relieved and scared at the same time.

"Well now, isn't that something? Look at all these peasants coming to greet me?"

But unexpectedly, the lone boy was brave. Despite being surrounded by dozens of kids bigger than him, he didn't falter. He gallantly stood up against these bullies despite the odds.

So cool... That's what she thought. Unlike her cowering and shaking in fear, the boy was brave.

Soon enough a fight broke out. Multiple kids numbering a dozen v.s. a one little boy.

To be more accurate, it wasn't even a fight. The boy didn't broke a sweat, and all of the kids ganging up on him sprawled on the ground beaten black and blue.

The little boy stomped into the leader's face like he is stepping on an insect. "You guys can't even act without a group. I guess it's more correct to say you're all mutts thinking that you were a pack of wolves."

One by one, all the kids stood up from the ground hearing the mocking words coming from the little boy.

They looked at him with eyes with mixed feelings of fear, hate, and respect to the strong.

"I'm Reinhard-sama of the Greyrat household. From now on you peasants are my soldiers. You're no different tools for me to use for my goals."

The kids now knew, they've got a new leader. A new era had begun in this remote village in Asura Kingdom.

Reinhard healed them. After all, what's use of having soldiers that are dying?

-*-*-*-

{Part 4}

After some threatening of the kids not to let any adults of what happened, he let them go. He already healed them and erased the evidence that he beat them up.

They might be plotting some revenge like calling their senior brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather like some Chinese novel.

But he's not scared one bit. After all he is a King.

"<<Let this divine power be as satisfying nourishment, giving one who has lost their strength the strength to rise again>>,[Healing]..." Reinhard healed the little girl who was on the ground covered in mud.

The bruises the little girl had from all the bearings she got slowly got better.

"Kid I saw you fight back, I liked your courage."

Reinhard saw her resisted them despite the fear.

"...Um." The little girl was a little bit culture shocked. Aside from her parents, nobody really said they liked her in any way.

And from all that, aside from her parents, she didn't talked to anyone without evil intent or hatred to her.

"Kid, what's your name?" Although despite his arrogant words, his tone was cute. No one would think he beaten up a bunch of kids with bigger bodies than him.

"S... S-sylph..." Sylph stuttered.

Reinhard stood in front of her and stretched out his hand for a helping hand. The sun cast upon his cute face.

"Sylph, from now on you will become my servant. You're purpose is to serve me and make me shine." Reinhard gave a rare smile, "For I am YOUR King."

Unconsciously, Sylph's hands accepted the helping hand and accepted his words.

And that day a Legend was born.

Meeting between Kuroko and Kagami, Tomoya and Katou, Ash and Pikachu, King Arthur and the Excalibur, Mikey and Draken, Nie Li and the Temporal Demon Spirit Book, Naruto and Iruka-sensei, that kinds of things...

In the Future, this will be regarded as a historical event that swept the world's balance to a storm.

AN: Btw Sylphy had a very little to NO chance of becoming a love interest so don't worry.
