1 Chapter 1: Reincarnation Into A Jobless Reincarnation

Well to be honest it's not really important.
Why you ask?
Simply put it's because I'm dead.
Yes dead.
After getting hit an old ass ice-cream truck while crossing the street I suddenly found myself in all-white space.
Once there I found myself being spoken to by a disembodied voice, which for some reason sounded like Morgan Freeman, who told me point-blank that I was going to be reincarnated into a different world.
A world based one of the numerous anime, manga, and light novels I had enjoyed over the years before my untimely demise.
To say I was shocked would be an understatement.
Despite this I didn't voice any objections over what was going to happen to me. For I would have to be a fool to the ruin my chance of getting a second life in one of my favorite fictional worlds.
So with that I kept my mouth shut and allowed the Morgan Freeman voice to speak to me.
Until finally it was finished, and it was time for my reincarnation to begin.

Materializing in front of me I found myself looking at a giant roulette wheel, like the one they use on game shows, that was littered with the names of various fictional worlds I was very familiar with.
Horimiya
Strike The Blood
Tensei Slime
Star Wars
Fairy Tail
One Piece
Boku No Pico.
'I'll just pretend I did not see that one.' I thought.
Anyway.
The list of names on the wheel were numerous. After reading over a few of them I stopped. When I did so the Morgan Freeman voice spoke to me.
"Spin the wheel." He said.
So that's exactly what I did.
Reaching out with my left hand I grabbed the wheel and then gave it a powerful pull, which then caused it to start spinning. Going round and round several times before finally coming to a stop on the world I would reincarnate into.

"Yes." I muttered, putting a smile on my face.
Since I loved the world of Mushoku Tensei. Especially the character development the protagonist Rudeus went through throughout the entire series.
I also liked that fact that unlike other harem protagonists he actually lost his V-card before the series ended, and was able to form his harem properly. Making him much better than several others in my book.
Cough* Issei Hyodou* Cough.
Though it wasn't just Rudeus I liked about the world of Mushoku Tensei I also liked the magic, the overall plot, and several other things about the world. The only thing I have problem with is that the author made the ending of the series so damn ambiguous. Magonote left too many unanswered questions.
It's why I was always looking forward to the Mushoku Tensei sequel series, where I hoped several of those plotlines would be resolved. Like Laplace, or that despicable piece of shit Hitogami getting what's coming to him.
I also looked forward to maybe a prequel series of Mushoku Tensei someday. Like maybe one of how the seven great heroes sealed away the demon Laplace in the first place, or about the adventures of Paul and Zenith as adventurers before they settled down in Buena Village.
There was just so much the Mushoku Tensei universe had left to offer.
Which I'll never be able to see. But that's fine, since I'm about to head to the world itself.
Seconds after the roulette wheel stopped it turned into particles of light and vanished entirely.
Then immediately after it did so another roulette wheel appeared before me.
This time with the list of names of various fictional characters instead.
Dio Brando
Leon Cromwell
Shez (Male)
Lux Halcyon Atro
Etc.
"Am, sorry god what is this?" I asked. "Also, is it okay if I call you god?"
"I'll allow it." He replied. "Besides, it is one of my many names anyway." He explained. "As for what this new wheel is it is give you something like what you would refer to a character template. To help you better survive and live your life in the world of Mushoku Tensei."
"I see. Thanks." I replied.
Extremely grateful now that I understood what the purpose of the new wheel in front of me was for. A thing I definitely needed considering all the monsters, both actual and not, that call the Mushoku Tensei world home.
The Sword Style Gods, the seven great powers, the Immortal Demon clan, Perugius Dola, and don't even get me started on Orsted.
Yeah, the Mushoku Tensei universe is full of powerhouses that could easily kill me with a flick of their wrists, or turn me into a donut like Orsted did to Rudeus the first time they ever met.
So once again I am grateful for the character template.
I just hope like with the new universe spin I get a good one.
Here's hoping.
Just like before I reached out with my left hand and gave the roulette wheel a powerful pull which started it spinning. It then went around several times before finally coming to a stop on a singular name.

"Yes!" I cried.
Looks like my luck held out.
I got an amazing character template. To think I will become the male Arthur Pendragon from the TYPE-MOON series.
Wait, since I am becoming Arthur I wonder if one day I'll be able to that. Well since I am heading to the world of Mushoku Tensei then with enough training I'm sure it will certainly be possible for me to be able to do that one day.
Just thinking about it fills me with excitement.
Moving on.
As with the earlier roulette wheel after this one stopped it vanished into particles of light a few seconds later and vanished entirely.
"With this you are now ready." The Morgan Freeman voice spoke to me.
"Ah, wait god just one more question. What about the memories of my previous life? Specifically are other people besides me going to be able to look at them?" I spoke.
Because if that is a possibility I would be in trouble.
Especially from that fucker Hitogami.
"No, they won't." Morgan Freeman replied. "Your memories of your previous life will remain intact and only you will be able to access them. No one else. You have my word." He explained.
"Alright, thank you." I said.
Feeling a bit more relieved after hearing that from god.
"It is no problem. Now, off you go." God told me.
I was then engulfed by a pillar of light.
On my way to my new life in the world of Mushoku Tensei.
