Please, take me with you

[Ceobe POV]

So, this is it then. Rudeus and the other were leaving soon.

I mean it is understandable because they need to go back to their hometown.

It is no big deal or anything, we made plenty of good memories.

However, I feel like these good memories we spent were cut short too early.

It wasn't fair, it only lasted for three months.

I still have a lot of things to spend time with them.

I want to learn more magic with Rudeus, train spears with Ruijerd and spar more with Eris.

I can't just let all of these to end, can I?

.....

No, I'm not ready to let them go yet, especially Rudeus.

[Rudeus POV]

This is strange. Ceobe was being too quiet when we told her about our leave after the raining season is over.

I can see that her dog ears droop down and her tail stops wagging. Eventually, I noticed that her body is visibly shaking and tears trickle down her checks.

"Ceobe, are you alright?" I asked, wanting to know if she is okay. She looks at me while crying and then....

*Thud*

She suddenly lunges forward and tackles me to the ground, hugging me in the process. I was surprise by her sudden action, as well as Eris and Ruijerd too.

"Hey, Ceobe! What are you doing to Rudeus! Get off of him" Eris protests as she puts her hand on the beast girl's shoulder.

"GRRrrrr...."

When Eris tried to pull Ceobe away from me, she lets out an angry dog growl.

This startles Eris and she immediately retracts her hand away. Then she proceeds to protest even more, which Ceobe blatantly ignores.

"Hey, what happened here?"

"What's wrong with Ceobe and why is she hugging Rudeus?"

Then Minitona and Tersena show up in the cottage and they question about the scenario that is happening in here.

Ruijerd and Eris explains everything but then Minitona becomes upset when she heard that we were leaving soon. The cat girl also lunges forward and tackles at Eris as well.

"Hey, what the hell are you doing?!"

"NYA! Please don't go, sister Eris!"

"Tch... Ruijerd, don't just stand there, do something!"

Ruijerd nodded at Eris commands and tried to pull Minitona away from her.

"Hiss!!"

However, the cat girl then hisses angrily at Ruijerd, warning him not to touch her.

Sigh, this is getting us nowhere. I need to solve this problem as soon as possible.

"Tersena!" I called out the other dog girl who is worriedly standing on the side. She noticed my call and spoke.

"Y-yes, what is it?"

"Please call sir Gyes and Ceobe's mom. Hurry"

"U-understood"

Complying to my instruction, the dog girl run outside of the cottage to find the adults. After that, I focus my attention to Ceobe who is still clinging to me like a cicada and whimpering while burying her face on my chest.

"Hey Ceobe, are you still fine?" I asked.

Then she unburies her face and looks at me with a face filled with tears.

"Please don't leave me, Rudeus"

Huh, this situation is oddly familiar. It reminds me of Sylphy.

[Third POV]

Several minutes later, Gyes and Sirius came to the cottage and inspect the incident that is happening. They all tried to separate the two crying beast girls away from Rudeus and Eris.

"[Minitona, what is the meaning of this?]"

"[Ceobe, please calm down. Tell me what's wrong]"

Both parents tried to question their respective daughters and both children cried about Rudeus and Eris leaving the village after the raining season.

Understanding the two beast girls' laments, Gyes and Sirius reason with the two and persuade them to go home. Ceobe and Minitona reluctantly complied and followed their parents and went back to respective houses.

Then Sirius turns her attention to Rudeus and spoke.

"Rudeus, if Ceobe ever tried to leave the village, stop her"

"Understood, miss Aldodlia"

After she was done talking to Rudeus, both her and Gyes exits the cottage and followed their respective child.

Meanwhile, Rudeus and his companions couldn't help to felt troubled by the incident and decided to call it a day.

Later that night, Ceobe had another dream.

She stands on the dark void once again and was confronted by the same mushroom beast girl.

"It's you again. What do you want?" she asked.

"Join them, Ceobe" the beast girl mutters, making Ceobe raised her eyebrow.

"Huh, join who? Rudeus?"

The mushroom beast girl nodded at Ceobe's answer, which made her click her tongue.

"No, mother told me I can't leave the village"

"Join them!"

"I don't want to"

"Join them! Join them! Join them!"

The mushroom beast girl screams while she is violently shaking Ceobe's shoulder.

This annoys Ceobe a lot, so she pushed the girl away and yells.

"Would you stop that! Why do you keep insisting me on joining them?!"

The mushroom beast girl was startled for a few second before returning to her blank expression. She then pointed at the certain direction and spoke.

"To prevent that"

Confused on what the beast girl said, Ceobe looks at the direction she was pointing.

Then Ceobe's eyes widen in horror when she saw Rudeus, and his companions were on the ground of a snowy hallway.

She saw Ruijerd lying face down and Eris who is slouching near the wall. Both of them were probably unconscious.

But the worst of all was Rudeus, who is presumably dead. Lying face down on a pool of blood, and a huge gaping hole on his chest.

"Rudeus!!"

Ceobe screams as she runs towards his friend and checks on him if he is still alive.

"Hey Rudeus! Wake up!"

When she tries to wake him up, Rudeus opens his eyes and looks at Ceobe. But then mutters something with a dying voice.

"B-behind you..."

Confused on what he meant, Ceobe turns her head around. She was terrified to see a huge tall figure with scary yellow eyes. The mysterious person then raises its arm and strikes her.

[Ceobe POV]

*GASP*

I immediately opened my eyes as I woke up from a terrible nightmare. Then I get up from the bed and look around. It is still night time and everything seems normal.

"[Are you feeling okay, sweetie?]"

I then heard someone calling me, wanting to know if I am okay. I look at the direction of the voice and saw mother with a worried expression.

"[I am fine mom, but I need to do something]" I said while I quickly stand up and run towards the entrance of the house.

"[Hey, Ceobe. Where are you going?]"

Ignoring my mother's yell, I head towards Rudeus's place as fast as possible.

Once I arrived at my destination, I was surprised to see Rudeus and the Holy Beast were having a stroll.

Then they saw me standing in front of them and Rudeus spoke to me.

"Ceobe, what are you doing here? Were you supposed to be asleep"

"Rudeus, I need to tell you something"

"What is it?"

I took a deep breath, look at him straight in the eye and focus on what I am going to say.

"Please, take me with you"
