Lu Yunhe's challenger simply sighed and admitted defeat.

He was confident that his spell-casting skill was on par with Lu Yunhe so if both their pet beasts were Rank 2, he might have stood a chance. But if it was against a Rank 3, continuing this battle would just be a waste of time.

Lu Yunhe was pleased with himself. He didn't step down from the ring but challenged Xue Bao'er instead.

After all, Xue Bao'er was ranked third and she was the only person Lu Yunhe was confident to go up against. As for numbers one and two, Lu Yunhe knew his limits.

Next up was Xue Bao'er versus Lu Yunhe.

In this battle, Lu Yunhe was clearly relying on his pet beast's superior rank whereas Xue Bao'er relied on her talent in spell-casting. If Lu Ba wasn't Rank 3, Lu Yunhe knew that he wouldn't have stood a chance against Xue Bao'er. 

After all, he had lost against Xue Bao'er several times in the past.
