Three Step Fist

One of reason why I chose to stick to unarmed combat was that because this world is full of new and fascinating martial arts I never knew could be possible.
Like Sound Arts, Poison Arts, Illusion Arts, and Acupuncture Arts. I will first need to familiarize myself into unarmed combat before learning these.
Unfortunately I can only pick one book from the Vault of Demonic Sea but I can still have a chance to learn these arts once they started to give tasks, maybe racking up some merits would be enough to give access to the vault, Back in my previous life, all weapons in existence were mastered by me, but among my arsenal, these listed above were, unfortunately, weren't able to make the list.
This world gave me these opportunities and it would be a waste if I would ignore them.

After Hyuk Weon Seong's little performance, the instructor who was instructed to retrieve something came back, he was holding a book and after giving the book to Sang In Hyo, Sang In Hyo walked toward Ryu.
"No.68 I heard that you don't like the weapons displayed in the racks, any reason why?"
After seeing the Head Instructor approach him, Ryu bowed down to him in respect as in the Cult of the Heavenly Demon respect for seniority is very strict.
"Sir, I don't think that swords, blades, nor spears suit me"
"Why? is the quality of these is not to your liking?"
"No Sir"
"Huh, So you are saying that these are not worthy for you huh, How cocky."
"No Si-"
But before Ryu could continue his words, Sang In Hyo started to release some of his killing intent, his killing intent was like murky waters that were slowly drowning them, Ryu felt his knees become weak but his hard earn will, will not and cannot surrender.
Sang In Hyo's figure slowly started to enlarge starting to look like a mountain.
The whole area became dark as it started to shake, like an earthquake was happening.
The ground cracked and some students even fainted, even No.17, No.1, and No.900 struggled to keep awake.
But contrary to Sang In Hyo's expectations, Ryu didn't bend on his knee as he look at Sang In Hyo's eye with an unwavering will.
Sang In Hyo grinned at this sight and retrieve his killing intent.
"Very impressive"
"You've got a strong will No.68"
He said pulling something out from his robe and throwing it towards Ryu before turning back and walking away.
"THANK YOU, SIR!!"
Ryu bowed.
He looked at the book in his hand and saw the title of the book [Three Step Fist].
A grin creeped out of his face looking at the book.

---6 Months Later---
"All of you have become quite strong"
The Senior Demonic Instructor said standing on the stone platform as usual.
"But today half of you would die"
"!!!"
Visible shocks and gasps were heard but they were not able to express their opinion as the Senior Demonic Instructor continued his speech.
"Today the Trial of Life and Death would begin"
"When you enter the Trial of Life and Death you will encounter many near-death situations"
"Simply training hard won't guarantee your survival"
"Struggle with all your might, if you fail you will die a painful death"
"REMEMBER!! Our cult is all about the survival of the strongest, the weak are not needed. Become strong both mentally and physically"
"Only then you will have the cult as your home"

The first Trial of Life and Death was to traverse the rooms they assigned to us. And as I walked further into my designated room, I felt 3 presences, a four legged one at that.
According to the Manwha, the instructor put a grey wolf in each of these stone rooms but those in the top tens weren't just regular grey wolves, it was alpha, and considering the three present ahead I'm assuming they took special treatment for me.
After I reached the end of the room I saw three alpha grey wolfs the same size as a bear.
When I enter the room one of the wolves lunged toward me with its gigantic paw.
I effortlessly dodged it by taking a stride sideways and after taking a good amount of distance I used [Three Step Fist].
By distancing myself three steps apart from the wolf, I took on a horse stance and used my left foot to make a big step and launch a punch.
*PAK*
The punch landed right on the beast's side sending it a couple of meters away from me.
It seems that this beast is quite smart as once they saw me punch their companion with relative ease they regrouped back and tried to encircle me. They looked at me with a predatory look and tried to intimidate me.
But they were sorely mistaken if they thought that they can intimidate me.
Slowly Qi from my body was released and my killing intent also leaked out at the same time, but instead of just mindlessly pouring both of it out, both my Qi and my killing intent combined and slowly shaped themselves.

A figure suddenly appeared at Ryu's back, the figure turned into a humanoid shape standing over at a humongous size.
It has pink skin and an evilish smile reaching from ear to ear, it has a sharp chin, its pinkish hair color floating in the air, its sharp claw on its hand showing its terrifying might while it outstretched its hand.
It was like it was a literal demon.
This was Ryu's [Intimidation Demon] a technique similar to Toriko's appetite demon, something he have long dreamt of and now he did it.
"Raaaaaaaahhhh!"
The demon on his back roared looking at the wolves like a meal. They shivered at the sight of it and was rooted in their places, The demon then cocked it's fist backward and punched the wolf.
It hit wonderfully.
The wolf was sent flying due to it but it was not the demon who punched it, it was Ryu.
While the other two alpha wolves was still shivering, Ryu took the opportunity and covered his right foot and left fist with Qi, the red hazy fogs covered it while emitting a red light, the Qi covered fist landed on the chin of the wolf. Using the momentum from his punch Ryu did a spinning motion and did a spinning kick that rendered the wolf he just previously punch flying.
The fur of the wolves was metal like and it temporarily numbed Ryu's fist, seeing that Ryu was still recovering from the split second recoil the last wolf tried to brawl with him, it lunged at him with it's paw's claw but Ryu managed to dodge it but unaware to him the wolf has managed to sneak an attack at Ryu's blind spot and used it's tail to slam it at him.
The tail attack landed on Ryu's side and it was quite powerful, Ryu can only wince in pain as he saw the wolf once again dash at him, the Wolf opened it's jaw and was about to bite Ryu but the latter instead of dodging it confronted it heads on and grab it's jaw, Ryu then slammed the wolf on the ground in a similar manner to jiujitsu and after the wolf was slammed on the ground, Ryu opened his hands and thrust his fingers on Wolf's neck finally killing it.
The two wolves that was sent flying, can only watch their companion get killed as they can't do anything at moment because above these wolves was a figure of a demon smiling at them while grabbing their heads.
Ryu smiled at his new technique and continued his way towards the exit.
"Ahhh It's so refreshing to fight something again like in old golden age Hahaha"
