012 I still love you...

Nathan felt frustrated and worried as it has been four days after his kiss with Audrey and he hasn't heard a word from her or seen her... she apparently called in sick. Sitting in his office and deciding he had to see her, he thought of ideas and excuses he could think of giving for showing up unannounced. Suddenly his phone rang.

Chloe. 'Hey bro... it's been a while.'

Nathan. Smiling... 'Hey beautiful, how are you doing?'

Chloe. 'I'm fine.... I'm wondering if you're free this weekend?'

Nathan. Moved over to check his calendar. 'I don't think I'll be free chloe, I have a late afternoon meeting on Saturday.' Concerned 'why do you ask?'

Chloe. 'I'll be home this weekend and I'm hoping we could hang out on Saturday and have brunch with mom and dad on Sunday.' Paused 'it'll be great if you can clear your schedule and make out time for me.'

Nathan. Laughing out... 'I'm so sorry princess, there's no getting out of this meeting for me, I'm meeting a potential client, he reluctantly fixed the meeting for Saturday, so I need to make a good impression.' Smiling 'how about we eat dinner together on Saturday and hang out on Sunday before and after brunch?'

Chole. 'Sounds good... I can't wait to see you.' Hangs up...

Nathan looked momentarily at his cell phone smiling to himself, he was definitely looking forward to a nice weekend with his family. He felt really lucky to have them... snapping back to reality he checked his wrist watch and immediately stood up picked a file or two and dashed out of his office as he was almost late for his meeting.

Nathan couldn't focus on anything the investors were saying at the meeting, he was imaging how Audrey would react to his unexpected visit. He reflected on calling before dropping by but he had the feeling she'll be against his visit and he really needed to see her... suddenly, he felt all eyes on him and one of the speakers asking directly for his opinion. He smiled shyly...

Nathan. Uncomfortably he hesitated not knowing what to say... 'sure, if its OK by others, I really don't have any objection.'

Mr. Panel. Ok, that will be all for today, let's meet next week.

Walking back to his office, Nathan wondered what the meeting was about..

Nathan. Under his breath... 'I hope I haven't unknowingly sold my father's company?' Laughing to himself, he walked towards his office.

It's been almost 30 minutes that Nathan was standing outside Audrey's apartment, he didn't know if he should ring her doorbell or abort his mission all he knew was that he had to see her. Gathering all the courage he could, he leaned over to press her doorbell when he suddenly saw the door burst open.

Audrey Was surprised to see him, she immediately stepped out and hurriedly closed the door behind her. Audrey. 'What are you doing here?'

Nathan. Shocked... 'I ermmm... I was... I felt concerned as you didn't show up at work.'

Audrey. Trying to put a good distance between them and silently praying Zane doesn't make a peep... 'I'm all better now, I asked for the whole week off as I needed to rest, doctor's order...' paused then continued 'if you had asked Mr. William, he would have informed you.'

Nathan. Shyly 'I did, he told me, I just felt like I had to check up on you.'

Audrey. Impatiently 'you don't have to worry about me as I'm just one of your employees, I really don't appreciate this unannounced visit please let's keep it professional.'

Nathan. Feeling sad... 'it's not what you're thinking if you can just hear...'

Audrey. Cutting in... 'if it about what happened between us, try to forget about it because it meant nothing to me... have a nice evening.' She turned around and immediately went into her apartment and shut her door before he had the chance of saying anything...

Nathan stared at the closed door for a couple of minutes unable to move or say anything... he knew he needed to win her over to his side, he knew she felt what he felt when they kissed... he has forgiven her for the past, he had to know why she won't let him in... feeling dejected, he walked out her building to his car.
