"Black"

In the distance, where the sky met the earth, the first sign of dawn started to break the darkness that was brought on by night. The peaceful chirping of birds and the daily activities of woodland life resonated in the forests that blanketed the northern part of Vale. It was a serene and peaceful image.

A tank was driving through a thicket of bushes, its tracks pushing down the dense fauna below him while its muffler puffed out more exhaust. After planting itself firmly on clearer ground it sped along the forest floor.

After waking up Hanns had more time to think by himself. The revelation that his strategy from before couldn't work made him rethink his plan, he had to find better prospects for resources. Most especially research points. He could farm silver lions with no problem, the research points were the ones limiting his growth.

He theorized on what prey could get him the most research points. As far as he knew, the older the grimm the better they could fight. Thus the more they should be able to give though he had a problem. He had fought alphas before but those were joined by hundreds of other grimm. He needed an isolated fight with an alpha. One that if he killed, could let him gauge how many research points older grimm got him.

But for now, that could wait. He still needed to get stronger but more importantly, he needed to know what part of the canon he was in. Hanns at this point going in blind, the most obvious way for him to find out at what time in canon he was in was for him to take a trip to Vale.

Vale was important because he could get to civilization. Where civilization is, dust follows. He still needed to know how he would react with dust though he didn't know how he would interact with dust, it's not like he had arms. There's also finding out if people could drive inside him. There wasn't a crew upgrade in the modification section of his tank but he could at least try to see what would happen if someone manned the controls inside him.

Patch could work as well but the water separating it from the continent made it harder to travel to it. Though Vale is not easy, I still need to find a way in without raising suspicion of a random armored vehicle roaming around the streets. As far as I know, there weren't any tanks in the show which would make sense. Having a bullhead is far more convenient than using a tank, to be honest.

'If I assume that the world boss is Salem then I would need to get help with Ozpin, an enemy of my enemy is a friend after all. Though it'd be suspicious for my origins of being here.'

Hanns needed help eventually, one tank cannot fight everything if he ever had his back to the wall. There were simply too many risks involved in staying alone. Ozpin would be a better candidate to have your back than Salem. Who knows if she would appreciate Hanns needing to kill tons of her grimm?

With all that said Hanns still needed to plan for meeting anyone who would stumble upon his existence.

'Should I just go with the possessed tank thing? Though didn't Weiss fight a suit of armor with a grimm possessing it? Would they mistake me for a defective grimm? I'll bring along some grimm to kill if they need proof although I don't have any limbs to carry some with me.'

Stopping before a steep decline he crept up slowly towards the edge. The tank buckled under the stress of half of itself being suspended in the air but Hanns ignored it and let himself over the edge.

'Woah! Oh, TREE!'

Right as he was about to get to flatter land he spotted a tree towards his front. He urged his inner workings to put on the brakes. Upgraded or not the brakes couldn't handle the speeds he was going at. He felt his brakes working their hardest to stop the motion of the tank but gravity did its work and didn't let him stop in time before hitting a tree in his direct path downwards.

He felt his front impact the tree and felt his rear lifting up in the air, falling back onto the ground he checked to see how much the damage would cost him.

'Oh, good thing the tree didn't do much damage.'

He backed away from the said tree and continued onwards as if nothing ever happened, not feeling pain was a good thing. Hanns looked toward the sun to see its position in the sky. He opened his hud and navigated through the help page.

'6 hours left? So I've almost been here for 18 hours.'

Hanns checked his time left until the next question available to the moderator, he still had many questions on specifics that the help page did not cover. He moved towards what he thought at the time was the direction towards Vale.

Unbeknownst to him a single red leaf fell from the sky, carried by the strong wind overhead.

In Forever Fall...

A cat Faunus adorned in black and white sits atop a rock surrounded by the recognizable color of red leaves falling and swaying as a strong gust of wind hits the top of Forever Fall.

Blake was having second thoughts, perhaps this organization was not what it once was she thought to herself. Had the White Fang gone astray from its supposed ideals? She would know. This mission will truly let her know if she could still steer away from the corrupted roots of the White Fang.

"Blake, It's time."

A voice called out to her, turning around she hesitantly nods to the figure clad in red and black. A voice she had been together with all these years, Adam. The same Adam who she viewed as being more aggressive the more time goes on, was turning to someone else.

"Okay."

She stretched her body in preparation for the fight ahead as she got off the rock she sat on. It was a cargo train filled to the brim with dust and weapons, all the right things for the Fang to use for the revolution. Though it was protected by Atlas-made droids which was certain to make this mission harder for both of them.

She dashed and followed Adam stopping towards the cliffside with the rattling of train tracks below them. A horn echoed in the distance which signaled the approach of the Schnee Dust Company train car as it sped along the tracks. Sliding down from the cliff they make a jump right at the end towards one of the cars the train pulled along. With a single strike, Adam opens the hatch to a car where he drops down and is followed by Blake.

They dropped down towards a room full of droids and sensors that had been unseen. Tripping the sensors, the Knight-130s activate in tandem with each other. While Adam comments on the unfortunate circumstance.

"Looks like we're gonna be doing this the hard way."

The blaring red lights and the shifting of mechs around them didn't dissuade Blake.

"Don't be so dramatic." she quips

As they get ready for a fight one of the droids shifts its arms into gun barrels and interrogates the unknown individuals with its unnatural robotic voice.

"Intruders! Identify yourself."

Adam smirks before triggering Blush and using the recoil to launch Wilt towards the unsuspecting droid which knocks it backward before Adam eliminates it in quick succession.

The rest of the droids rush forward towards the assailants before being felled by Blake who by using Gambol Shroud and her expert use of acrobatics to destroy them.

They fight with a synced moveset, allowing each other to attack while the other covers their backs. They had done this for so long they could read each other's intentions They fought with elegance as they carved through the droids with ease before a lone droid with guns for arms opened fire on the duo.

Adam deflects the initial burst with his red sword Wilt before Blake dashes forward deflecting the rest of the burst of bullets, destroying the droid and finishing the rest of the droids with a series of cuts and slashes making sure to block with her sheathe and attack with her sword. Adam knocks away the last droid into the door to reveal an open train car next to the enclosed car they were on. Making their way to the outside, more droids were present and made their way towards the duo.

"Let's do this." Adam says.

Rushing into battle, Adam launched attack after attack while Blake followed up making sure to do the killing blow. Observing the amount of droids surrounding them Blake mecashifted her weapon into a kusarigama and in a flurry of action decimated the droids in a dance.

The fight on the open train car ended fast, Adam focused on quick and powerful strikes with Wilt and follow up shots with Blush while Blake used her excellent maneuverability to dispose of the droids by using both the sword form and kusarigama form of her Gambol Shroud.

After the end of the fight they enter into the last train car contained in which was the bountiful rewards of dust and weaponry being concealed in stacks of crates and boxes. It was one of the larger hauls of the White Fang, Adam couldn't keep the satisfaction contained in his mind.

"Perfect. Move up to the next car, I'll set the charges."

As Adam turns around, Blake couldn't help but be concerned.

"What about the crew members?"

Adam, showing no regard for the lives on board the train replies coldly to Blake.

"What about them?"

Before Blake could find a reply, a gigantic spider droid activates and drops from the ceiling to confront the intruders. As it begins to open fire, large bursts of energy could be seen from its barrels and a flurry of concentrated energy was fired upon the duo.

Rushing to the front, Blake tries to damage the spider droid but fails as she is knocked back. Thankfully, aura protected her from the damage but it still sent her down to the ground. Adam quickly lets out a flurry of slashes of his own towards the head of the spider droid, the spider droid not being damaged because of its tougher armor, ignores the cuts and sends one of its mechanical legs directly into Adam.

The distance produced by the kick, lets the droid aim its guns towards Adam all the while preparing to crush Blake below it. Adam quickly rushes for Blake and saves her just in time before a mechanical leg drops down on where they were creating a dent on the train car's steel floor.

Adam dashes away and lets down Blake after their failed attempts at damaging it. Blake, learning of the droid's apparent strength and protection, decides the best course of action.

"We need to get out of here."

After her suggestion, the spider droid obliged her request and turned its upper half into an energy cannon before unleashing a single powerful strike that tears through the back of the car and launches the duo backwards into the open car they fought in earlier.

Adam recognizing the spider droid's powerful attack as an opportunity to use his semblance, he urges Blake.

"Buy me some time!"

"Are you sure?"

"Do it!"

Adam began to glow red as Blake distracted the spider droid, dodging its attacks and moving around and away from it, only using her clones to dodge ones she couldn't avoid normally. She used her various weapon forms to keep it distracted all the while the droid missed each shot.

Backing away from the droid, it begins to transform its upper half back into an energy cannon and aims for the duo. Various hums and drones could be heard as a large mass of energy escapes from its barrel and lands right into Adam's Wilt.

His semblance activates and absorbs the kinetic energy the blast generated. Adam chuckles and lets out a singular devastating strike against the spider droid. The empowered strike cleanly cuts the mass of wires and armor plating the spider droid had, leaving it an unrecognizable mess of metal.

Seeing the battle over, Adam rushes over to Blake over at the other car but stops recognizing the emotions on her face. Adam raises an arm at Blake in a vain attempt to stop her, an attempt that was ignored by Blake who only utters a single word to the distraught Adam.

"Goodbye."

Slicing the cables connecting the cart they both watch each other drift further and further away as the red leaves of Forever Fall gently descend to the ground.

This'll be the only thing in canon that would stay completely the same. Canon has been changed the moment Hanns entered the world.
