2 Waifu App In DC 1

Essences: Waifu App And Eternity

(Third Person POV)

-A Space Between Worlds-

What lies out there in the infinite universes? Gods? Monsters? Beings of unimaginable power? The answer is all of them and none of them, as in the multiverse, there are worlds where there is nothing and worlds where there is everything. Amalgams could be a possible name.

In one world, you could wake up and find that you were a rich man or woman, or in another, you were never born. No one ever knew you existed or would exist. The possibilities are, yes infinite.

But in this case, we are focusing on one specific instance in the vast infinite.

A man and what looks like a phone and a vial are sitting in front of him on the table in the vast darkness. The man had been sitting there for the past hour, wondering why he was there and what was sitting in front of him. Because you see, the man had yet to understand or to see the possibility of what these two objects were.

The phone is something sought after by beans a near-omnipotent power and the vial would cost the value of multiple universes alone. But before we see his decision let the story begin before this.

-New York, Buffalo (November 11th, 2022)-

(MC POV)

"Get out! You have been late for the past couple of weeks now and we just can't accept that with the holidays closing in so beat it." A suited man said as I simply sighed grabbed my stuff from the break room, and began to leave the store. As I left, no one even noticed as I was but one of many.

The reason for me being late is to keep myself fed as this job was but one of the three other jobs I have had to take to keep myself fed and with transportation.

I have been living out of my car since two years ago when COVID hit harder than an abusive dad in a tragic origin story. Essentially when my mother caught COVID I had to take her to a hospital as due to her advanced age it hit her a lot harder than others but simply keeping her in the hospital ate up all of our savings.

I had to sell the house which could barely even be considered a house with the state it was in with a damaged roof and various other issues but it was home. Sometimes I would wonder what I lacked was it luck? Or was it time?

I myself I'm leaning towards time as if I simply had more time I could have made it to my jobs on time and if I simply had more time I could have paid for those bills before we had to leave the hospital and she died in that house. Already had heart problems covid just made it worse. So much worse.

From the money I had left, I was able to get her a gravestone but not a funeral other members of the family never really cared as my mother's family died before I was born, and my father's family while having a decent number slowly lost connection with us after my dad died in 2010 due to a heart attack.

You can never really tell when bonds begin to fray and when you begin to see your own family as acquaintances. Back to the concept of time my mother wanted me to get a girlfriend at least before she passed but even now I barely have enough time to converse with my fellow employees and the fact that they were mostly men did not help.

I never had time to get into the dating scene and with everything going on I wasn't in the right head space and I knew it. It's almost funny how I fell into the cliche of throwing myself into work to forget the pain. But the fact that I had to live in my car was a constant reminder of that. I also managed to get fired from the other jobs so I'm back to square one.

As I got in the car I noticed that I was low on gas so as I pulled up to a 7-Eleven and put the nozzle in I went to pay for the gas but my card was rejected. So as I began to ruminate on my next move I noticed a gas can in the back of a tuck next to me. Noticing that no one was in the car and probably that they were still in the 7-Eleven itself I debated whether or not actually to use it.

But at this point, my desperation made my decision-making a bit skewed and as I took it and began to fill up my car my shit luck struck again the owner of the truck came out and saw me trying to use his gas and immediately took it from me and punched me in the face and began to do it over and over again until I passed out.

No words were said and as the darkness took me all I wondered was " Why me, after everything I have done this is what life throws at me huh?" Yet after what I assume was a couple of hours I woke up to see my car trashed and most of my stuff missing. Looking at my ruined car I knew that this was it. I had no job or degree to get a better job.

"Hahahahaha." Laughter at this event was all I could muster on that cold night and as the chill got worse I scavenged all that was left and began to walk in a random direction thinking about my life choices. My thoughts eventually turned more and more negative because in my mind I had played the game I did everything right I never even got a speeding ticket on my record.

College was just too expensive so I had to get along with a high school diploma but even now the job market is so bad that one could barely find a job paying more than chump change. And as I opened my wallet I took out the one thing I had left a photo from when I was seven and my dad, mom, and I had gone to the movies to see Iron Man.

For me, that was my dream as a child to be rich and famous and the only thing getting in my way would be my own problems. But the more I thought about it the more it seemed ridiculous as I lacked the man's genuine charisma and intellect but such was life and life was not a story or a game.

As I saw a bench covered in snow I used my arm to wipe it off and lay down and with another sigh I looked to the sky and saw nothing but clouds with barely a speck of light. So I simply laid there thinking of a plan or some form of a next move but found nothing.

I had no options. I had no plans and I had no money.

My face was so dry due to the cold that I could not even cry and even then it would mean nothing. My failures meant nothing as no one would remember me. I tried to cheer myself up thinking of the various motivational things I have been told that even at the lowest point the only place you could go was up.

The very thought put a bit of a morbid joke in my mind as the idea of being able to go up requires that a person has the ability to move. But for now, all I had for company was the silence. In all honesty, I'm lucky that guy just messed up that car instead of reporting me to the police or maybe he did and they just couldn't find me.

I had no inclinations that I could hide from the law. I was no evil mastermind after all. But for now, I was so tired. All I could do was lay there and close my eyes not knowing what would happen next. And for all I cared at that moment it meant nothing.

So I closed my eyes and let the tiredness prevail.

(Third Person POV)

- A Space Between Worlds-

So now our downtrodden protagonist sits in a chair in the infinite Darkness with the phone and the vial sitting in front of him with only a note that says " Drink This And Take The Phone." There were initials but the written letters AOB & LO meant nothing to the man. As he stared at the two objects he looked at the vial it swam in the bottle glowing in an almost grey color.

The phone looked similar to the average smartphone yet it glowed in a blue light with advanced circuitry glowing in the darkness.

So the man sitting at the table simply looked into the void and sat there pondering if this was a dream or not but with nothing to lose and everything to gain the man downed the vial yet felt nothing and as he took the phone it glowed with a symbol he could not recognize as the letters were constantly rearranging themselves.

Yet after a couple of minutes, the phone's language finally was set to English and the symbol of what looked like a large throne appeared on it sat a being he could not perceive, and as the being reached out his hand phased through the screen and touched the man on the forehead and the knowledge of what he was holding could do.

In his hands was a device that could send him anywhere and allow him to do anything yet his "build" had been set by that being and as he looked it over he was surprised at the generosity.

The world he was going to would only have allotted him 590 points but due to him gaining the essence from the phone and the vial his total points went up by 2000. The bean that said his build then disappeared from his phone and yet in the time before he disappeared the man could barely decipher a smile on the being's face.

(Please refer to the build chapter in the auxiliary volume.)

So as the man looked at his build he saw where he was going he immediately frowned as the setting where he was going could go horribly or amazingly well but mostly horribly. The only benefit of this build was the fact that he would finally have the one thing he always wanted.

Time.

Specifically, the Everlasting Talent granted him effective immortality in the form of agelessness while it did not give him regeneration so he could die the defenses on the build would help him in that regard. The only thing the man wished was that he could share it with his mom and dad. He did wonder if they were out there somewhere looking down on him it was a comforting thought and the only one he had left.

Studying the rest of it it seemed that he would gain a veritable pocket Dimension that no one could access but him and various other perks and he wondered why he got all of this. He had not had the worst life as he had a good start but only really failed at the finish line or maybe halfway through the race depending on how you determine parts of life.

Leaning backward in the chair still staring into the infinite void the man's spiritual brain raced at thousands of thoughts per second as while he was no saint he was not a terrible person at least he thought he wasn't. But the last part before he fell asleep really did put it in perspective for him on what he could do when desperate.

The man's gaze then fell back to the phone and looking at the accept button he made his choice.

"Well I have nothing to lose but my soul and even that may end up going nowhere so it's time to take a leap of faith." The man then pressed the accept button on the phone and was then sucked into a large glowing vortex to places unknown.

And after he disappeared the table and chair disappeared as if it was never there with many eyes looming in the void yet were happy in a way. And all that could be hard in that void was the fluttering of wings and the snuffing out of light.
