1 Yuta Okkutsu

In the scorching depths of Hell, where the rocks glowed scarlet and screams echoed endlessly, a figure lounged upon a throne of obsidian.

Features of blonde hair and black eyes, adorned in a black/white suit, Lucifer, the fallen angel, sat with one leg crossed over the other, looking bored.

With a lazy swipe of his finger, hundreds of tiny black orbs floated before him, each containing a soul.

He scrolled through them, his expression uninterested, like he was browsing through a catalog of misery. Each orb spun as he checked them out, the souls trapped inside wailing in agony.

But then, something caught his eye—a soul with a spark of potential. Lucifer's smirk hinted at his interest as he plucked it from the rest.

Promptly causing the others to disappear, leaving only one unique white colored orb in front of him. He observed the small ball of energy curiously.

"This should do..."

As Lucifer's fingers brushed against the small white orb, it trembled and quivered, before slowly beginning to morph and shift.

Shadows coalesced around it, swirling and twirling until they took on a humanoid form, tall and imposing, yet shrouded in darkness. The figure seemed to lack any discernible features, its form a silhouette against the fiery backdrop of Hell.

The figure made out of darkness seemed to have gained consciousness as it glanced around curiously.

"Little one, I have granted you a second chance of life from the pits of hell."

The figure stirred, its form pulsating with an otherworldly energy as it absorbed Lucifer's words. Though it lacked a mouth, it seemed to convey understanding, a sense of acknowledgment rippling through the darkness that enshrouded it.

It then tilted it's head to the side, wondering why it was brought back to life.

Lucifer, ever perceptive, seemed to anticipate its thoughts as he continued to speak, his voice resonating with an air of authority.

"I will assign you the role of a reaper. This multiverse is filled with sinners, some minor, others major. It has come to my attention that it's becoming overrun by existences that shouldn't even be allowed to walk amongst the living."

A faint smirk appeared upon Lucifer's lips as he continued to speak with disdain, "This simply shows how incompetent the system my father made truly is. Therefore, I have decided to take matters into my own hands. I will send a personal emissary of Hell to cleanse the worlds of these beings, and that is your purpose."

The dark figure seemed to be in a daze, as it absently nodded in understanding.

Lucifer observed the figure's silent acceptance with amusement, "You have questions, I assume?" He remarked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "No matter, I'll indulge your curiosity."

The enigmatic figure hesitated for a moment, as if weighing its thoughts carefully. It gazed at Lucifer with an intensity that spoke volumes, despite its lack of words.

"Why choose me?" The figure seemed to ask, its form pulsating with a silent yearning for answers.

"Why indeed," Lucifer mused, his expression unreadable, "Perhaps it's your potential for darkness, your capacity for destruction. Or perhaps, it's simply because I find you amusing."

It seemed he had no intention on clarifying, as he continued.

"Well either way, no one cares, It's time for you to receive your powers." With a flick of his fingers, he conjured forth a surge of dark energy, enveloping the figure in an otherworldly glow.

"For you growth," Lucifer's voice resonated with power, "I shall grant you the Sin of Gluttony, a power befitting a reaper of Hell, and a body that complements that power. You should be familiar with it."

The figure trembled as the dark energy coursed through its form, reshaping it into something new and powerful.

And as the transformation reached its climax, the figure emerged reborn, clad in the body of Yuta Okkutsu wearing his usual Sorcerer Uniform.

But their eyes were a stark contrast to the vessel's previous color, it appeared to glow a vibrant color of crimson red.

"Well, this is certainly unexpected," Yuta remarked, his tone filled with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. "Never thought I'd be getting a makeover in Hell of all places. Not to mention as Yuta Okkutsu."

Lucifer chuckled softly, "Indeed, it's not your typical spa day," he replied, his voice laced with playfulness. "But I assure you, the results are quite... striking."

Yuta calmly smiled, a glint of mystery in his eyes, "I'll take your word for it. So, Lord Lucifer, mind if I pick your brain for a bit?"

"By all means," he replied, his tone casual. "Ask away, Yuta. I'm feeling rather generous today."

With a nod of appreciation, Yuta leaned forward, his expression thoughtful. "Fair enough. So, what's the catch? I mean, I'm all for a second shot at life, but I'm guessing there's a price to pay, right?"

Lucifer leaned back in his throne, his gaze contemplative, "Their is no catch," he replied, "You will simply serve as my reaper. But if you do a good job, perhaps I'll consider it payment in full and grant you ultimate freedom."

Yuta's eyes narrowed slightly in understanding, "And what if I decide to go rogue? What if I don't follow your instructions?"

Lucifer seemed nonchalant as he answered, "Then you'll simply die and go to parts of hell you never knew about."

Yuta seemed unsurprised, as he continued to maintain a calm smile, subtly changing the conversation, "I see... Anything else I should be aware of?"

"The necessary memories will remain intact," He said. "And once I send you to the World of the Living, information on how your abilities work will be implanted into your brain. So, don't worry too much."

Yuta nodded, then asked, "What if I get caught by God?"

Lucifer rolled his eyes, "My dad is probably already aware of the situation, but for now he won't do anything." He replied cryptically.

"Enough chit chat, It's time for you to return to the World of the Living."

"We'll remain in contact," Lucifer continued, his voice echoing through the chamber, "I will be observing, so if I don't see any results of the wicked entering my domain by your hands, your second chance at life will be revoked."

Yuta gave a playful salute, a light smile playing on his lips, "Understood."

With no hesitation, Lucifer then simply snapped his fingers, causing Yuta to disappear from view.

"Farewell, until we meet again."

The night was alive within the African wilderness.

Yuta wandered aimlessly through the dense forest, his footsteps barely making a sound against the earthy ground. Above, the moon cast an ethereal glow, bathing the landscape in its silvery light.

Suddenly, Yuta came to a halt, his once dark blue eyes slowly contorting into a bright crimson red. A sinister smile crept across his lips as he realized the truth, "So, I've been reborn..."

He took a deep breath, savoring the sensation of the cool night air against his skin. It had been so long since he had felt such freedom, such exhilaration. But as the rush of his newfound existence washed over him, he quickly recollected himself, "I should probably head to Shibuya now..."

Before he could take another step, however, his thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a menacing presence behind him. Without hesitation, a monstrous creature materialized from the shadows, its twisted figure coming to sight.

The cursed spirit instantly lunged forward with a vicious swipe, nevertheless Yuta remained unfazed as he effortlessly sidestepped its attack, narrowly avoiding its razor-sharp claws.

Just as he turned to face his assailant, a voice echoed through the darkness, "You're not Yuta!" it exclaimed, filled with a mix of anger and confusion.

Yuta's gaze shifted to the newcomer, his crimson eyes locking onto her with an intensity that sent shivers down her spine, 'I see... So she could tell I'm not the same Yuta? Well isn't that lovely.'

He recognized the curse as Rika, and it seemed she could sense that this was not the Yuta she once knew.

Rather than engaging in combat, Yuta's approach was unexpectedly serene.

With a close-eyed smile adorning his features, he stepped closer to Rika, his movements unhurried and deliberate, "It's me, Rika," he murmured softly, his voice carrying a soothing tone, "I'm heartbroken that you would try to harm me."

Rika's confusion was evident as she tilted her head, her expression a mixture of disbelief and uncertainty, "You're Yuta?" she questioned, her voice trembling slightly.

Yuta continued to advance, his demeanor calm and composed, "Of course, who else would I be?" he replied gently, "You know how much I love you."

As they finally stood face to face, Yuta reached out, his hand coming to rest softly on Rika's chest. Her hesitation was palpable, her mind consumed by a whirlwind of confusion and doubt.

But before she could dwell on the uncertainty, Yuta's eyes snapped open, his katana already unsheathed and bathed in a pinkish aura.

His opposite palm, which was touching her chest, surged with reversed cursed energy as it destroyed her innards, effectively immobilizing her.

Rika was stunned into silence as Yuta's hand with the katana blurred, his blade slicing through the air with deadly precision, severing each of her limbs in a single swift motion.

"Huh!?" Her voice trembled with terror as her body collapsed to the ground, contorted in agony.

With a deafening shriek, Yuta drove his blade through her chest with chilling indifference.

"Yuta, why!?" Rika's voice wavered, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"I thought you loved me!"

"Stop!"

Her desperate pleas fell on deaf ears as Yuta remained unmoved, his expression unreadable.

Ignoring her cries, he placed his palm on her chest, uttering a single word.

"Gluttony."

A swirl of black/purple energy enveloped Rika's trembling form, its vortex wrapping around her with an inexorable grip. She struggled futilely against its grasp, but it was too late—the darkness consumed her completely, leaving nothing behind.

Yuta sighed, a sense of melancholy washing over him as he shook his head in resignation, "How pitiful," he murmured softly, his voice tinged with regret. "A creature simply seeking love, destroyed by the very object of its affection..."

"Unfortunately, I could not see a future where you let me live, so what's done, is done."
