Fragile Ego

'Haah... Finally, I am back from school.'
Felix dumped his bag on the couch in his living room and flopped beside it.
'Jesus Christ, the weather is so humid and hot. The sunlight was literally prickling my skin, I can't believe I have to go to school in this weather every day. Ugh...'
It was the first day of Felix's first day of high school. He was in the first year of Highschool... again.
He had already experienced it a time and this time didn't differ much. Due to Gray almost always studying, Felix used to get slightly influenced by him as well. So, whenever Gray used to study, Felix also studied mostly, though only if he had completed his quota of training that day.
Felix loved that feeling of getting faster and stronger. That feeling was exhilarating.
It was the feeling of being able to defeat a person much more easily than he did properly, that feeling of inching bit by bit towards the apex of human strength.
In terms of agility, Felix was almost unmatched. Combining both his Inhuman Temporal Perception and Enhanced Flexibility made him literally unmatched, his eyes could read any move in less than a thousandth of a second and his flexibility could easily help him wriggle out of any situation. If the fighting reflexes that Felix cultivated were added in as well, then technically no human could hit him unless they have similar abilities as well.
His fighting abilities were abnormal.
He was in a very good shape today and was expecting something like what happened to Stephen in the last world. This time, he didn't want to care about useless stuff and do whatever he wants instead of worrying about consequences whatever they might be.
But the reality was totally disappointing. It was just a normal day.
As he remembered what happened in the school, his mood darkened.
(Hours Ago, In the School)
Felix opened the door of the classroom and peeked inside. It was almost the end of the first period, it was Maths Period and the teacher was just finishing the class by giving out some practice problems.
The mathematics teacher looked at the door when Felix peeked inside. He said in a rough voice, "Who are you?"
"Ah, sir. I am a student of this class."
The teacher squinted his eyes at Felix and then looked back at the classroom. Then he said questioningly, "Are you the transfer student I was informed yesterday, who will be joining this school?"
Felix nodded in agreement.
The teacher picked up the ruler and pointed it at Felix threateningly, "Don't you know the timings of the school? How can a student of Sunny High School be so late on the first day of school? I can't see any kind of discipline in you."
Felix answered the teacher politely, "Sir, it was due to mainly slow traffic. I apologize to you for this. This kind of behaviour won't be repeated again. I promise. "
Looking at Felix up and down, he muttered under his breath with a displeased expression, though it was heard by almost everyone in the class, "Must have come from a countryside school. Looks like a ruffian as well. How can this school fall so low? They are now allowing hillbillies in this prestigious school. Our school's principal has lost his mind."
Felix had an uncanny smile on his face as he heard what the teacher was saying.
The teacher gestured angrily to an empty seat and said, "Come inside and sit over there. Get the notes of the class from some other student."
"Ok, sir."
As Felix was walking towards his seat, the teacher had a nice idea to teach a lesson to the new student.
His voice tone changed into a taunting one as he asked, "What is your name?"
"Felix, sir."
"... What's your full name?"
"Felix. Shin. Sir", answered Felix with an expression which barely seemed to be hiding his annoyance.
The atmosphere of the class turned into an expectant one and any kind of disturbance would have ruined it.
All the students in the class were looking at the scenario in front of them as if they were watching a K-Drama. It was just exciting to see how the transfer student will react to the taunts of their teacher. They could already see him annoyed. It was loads of fun as the students were feeling extremely bored due to the boring drawl of their mathematics teacher.
The teacher said in a loud voice talking to all of the class, "Ok, so class. Today Mr Felix Shin will be answering these problems that are on board. As he is a student of our great school and he must be learned enough, that he could afford to skip a part of the class."
He moved his hand forward and on his palm was chalk lying.
Felix looked at the blackboard and recognised those questions. They were from a topic that Gray absolutely loved doing. Gray had a whole big-ass book on that topic and he could do those questions all day.
Seeing his friend so invested in a single topic, Felix used to do some random questions from it as well. He couldn't spend a lot of time on it like Gray but he did manage to master the concept. So, Felix was confident in it.
He took the chalk from the teacher's hands and did all the questions.
Tak...
Tik...
Kak...
For a couple of minutes, only the sound of the chalk could be heard throughout the classroom.
And all the problems were completed easily.
As Felix turned around, he had a smirk on his face. He was thanking Gray's obsession with this topic inside his mind.
He went up to the teacher and dropped bits of chalk in his hand.
He said in a mocking tone, "Oh, whoops. Sorry, sir. I didn't mean to break this chalk. I didn't know it would be so fragile like a person's ego."
And at that moment, the bell rang while the teacher just glared at Felix's back.
At that moment, all the students in the class rated the drama 10/10.
