Chapter 61 - Furina’s Jellyfish

--[--]...[--]--

Back in the hot spring, Kenjiki was watching the fight through a window-sized The Door alongside Xianyun who would only occasionally throw a glance whenever he commented something.

"Sun Wukong?" Kenjiki blurted out when he heard what the monster called himself, completely not expecting to hear this name after he got reincarnated. "Although he only used one of his epithets, it's still uncalled for."

"That monkey? He's here?" Xianyun was taken aback when she heard the name he just uttered. Having been reminded of the sight where a lone monkey fought against the so-called Heavenly Alliance.

"Nah, just someone who used one of his titles. The real deal is probably somewhere getting drunk." Kenjiki enlarged The Door, allowing them to watch the fight in full resolution. "Talking about being drunk, where's Yae? I haven't seen her these few days."

Kenjiki suddenly got reminded of the biggest drunkard in the entire universe the moment he brought up the topic of alcohol. One of his women who decided to delve deeper into her hobby of being drunk once he decided to reincarnate, where he only got to see her whenever she needed to procure some ingredients.

Confusion struck her face when she was asked this question, as she had entirely forgotten that fox woman after not seeing her in the last thousands of years.

"That Fox? She's probably in her shrine getting wasted.." Xianyun replied after thinking for a bit.

"Is that so? Then I won't disturb her and wait until she gets out." Kenjiki nodded and continued to watch the fight.

"Are you sure that you've weakened him?" Pixie-Bob asked with a loud groan as she put all of her strength into her golems that Monkey King easily demolished.

"A bit, but I didn't expect that it would heal itself in such a short time." Furina spoke with a perplexed face as she watched the monkey who had no bodily injury dog-walking the heroes. "But you guys should've been able to do more than this, I know you guys can use mana."

Pixie-Bob just looked at her with an expression that seemed to scream 'What are you talking about'. But because she was too busy controlling her golems, she could refute whatever she was saying as her brain power had already been depleted on one thing.

On the other side, Furina looked back in confusion as she was sure that she felt mana coursing through their bodies. She was confused, because there was no way their mana would act that way unless they just used it, and now it is replenishing itself.

But then, she noticed that there was a decent amount of mana being focused onto her wrist; or to be precise, the watch she was wearing.

"Where did you get that thing?" Furina asked, pointing at her watch.

Being so suddenly asked a weird thing in the middle of controlling her golems, she spared a bit of time to comprehend what her question was.

"Wha--? This? Lady Nagant gave these to us." Pixie-Bob answered with great difficulty.

Furina finally understood why they could use mana without knowing anything about it. They simply got a watered-down version of a magic item that automatically controlled their mana to the wearer's benefit.

On the flip side, she didn't realize that someone from a backward world like this could actually manage to create something like this on their own. Because it usually took a magical civilization more than thousands of years just to get the technology needed to start researching this topic.

Then again, an artificial mana manipulation wasn't enough for them to win against the monkey who had a superior body compared to them. While the monkey didn't have any ounce of mana in them, he simply got an overly strong body.

"Looks like the world isn't as boring as before." Furina smiled as he thought how interesting the world had become. "I'll help you guys."

*Snap*

Numerous small water jellyfish manifested around her, with a wave of her hands they moved toward the heroes who were fighting against Monkey King and stung them with quite the force.

"Kyaah!?"Pixie-Bob exclaimed as she rubbed the area she got stung by the jellyfish and felt something wet touched her fingers. "What did you do?"

She looked at the girl suspiciously, knowing she had a water quirk.

"What? I just boosted your mana output for a bit." Furina glanced at her, while her fingers were busy adjusting the boost she gave so as not to simply explode the receiver's body into meat paste.

Pixie-Bob raised her eyebrows, confused as to what she was even talking about. But then realized that when she tried to control her golems, she felt that they had gotten lighter than usual.

When she tried putting more power into them, she was surprised when the punch she landed on the Monkey King caused him to be pushed back for a bit.

Monkey King widened his eyes in shock as he realized what just happened, a golem punched him so hard that his defense didn't work and that he was forced back because he was overpowered.

He looked at the culprit and realized it was one of the golems whom he had an easy time demolishing just a moment ago.

Even the other heroes were shocked by it, as they knew how strong the monster was. Evidently, they couldn't inflict any damage to him no matter how much they had used underhanded tactics.

"What did you do?!" Monkey King roared at Pixie-Bob who was still taken aback by her newly found strength. "She'll be a headache if I don't remove her fast."

Monkey King quickly abandoned the fight at hand and prepared to leap at her, when suddenly a punch to the guts hit him—interrupting his plan before it could even start as the punch was strong enough to launch him a hundred meters into the sky.

Unlike the one he initially expected, it's not the golem who punched. Instead, it was the weirdly dressed man, who, as a follow-up, decided to jump upward to throw another punch.

'How did these guys suddenly get stronger?!!' Monkey King roared to himself as he braced for impacts that had gotten too close for him to do anything.

*BANG*

Another punch landed as the falling Monkey King forsaken the gravity and got launched even higher than before.

Having enough of getting tossed around by these bunch, he plucked a few furs from his body from which two identical Monkey King grew out of and were ready to fight.

First thing first, they each held one of Monkey King's legs and prepared to launch him down.

"What the? He can make clones?" Tiger exclaimed as he watched two additional monsters just appear out of nowhere.

The others watched warily because one Monkey King was already too much for them to handle. Now that there were three, they didn't think that they could defeat the monsters anymore no matter how weak the clones were compared to the real deal.

"You damned macho!" Monkey King roared as he flew towards Tiger with the help of his clone.

Tiger, who was not expecting this, couldn't do much other than block the incoming attack. However, he just got even unluckier when he noticed that one of the clones had come down using the other clone's help.

"Aizawa!" Tiger called out a name.

Monkey King increased his guard as he anticipated any attack that never came because all that happened was that Tiger got pulled down by Aizawa who tried to do the same thing to him.

The plan instantly backfired when Monkey King caught the scarf before it could tie him, leaving Aizawa undefended for the beatdown that's to come when the scarf pulled with enough force to get him off the ground.

Once he realized that his feet were detached from the ground. It was all too late when Monkey King was already a few meters too close for him to successfully dodge. All he could do was to block the two subsequent attacks coming from the sky.

Thankfully, two golems came to rescue where one of them protected him using their body and the other threw a hand on their own to collide with Monkey King.

"What a load of dirt." Monkey King smiled as he readied a stronger punch than ever before.

*bang*

*crack*

The golem crumbled like sand as it couldn't endure the force contained within than punch. A punch so strong thrown by someone who was just now being thrashed around by them.
