Chapter 4 - Explo-Boy's Frontal Assault

With the first race finished, the students were given 15 minutes to rest until the next race was determined.

On the other side, Kenjiki and Kyoka were sitting near the wall having a conversation about how did he even finish in the first place without her seeing him once.

Even with her wings she was placed in 5th place, it was all because of the flying robots that were specifically put into the race just to prevent Kyoka from finishing the race in a breeze.

"How do I explain it?" Kenjiki thought for a bit on how he should explain the door. "You see this door? It's a borrowed ability of mine where I could teleport to anywhere I've seen."

"Borrowed ability? There's a quirk that could give someone their quirk?" Kyoka was obviously surprised to hear what he said.

The mere concept of borrowed quirk was something that could make anyone drool, on top of that, it's an ability to teleport to potentially anywhere.

"Any chance I can meet the one who lent you this ability? I'd like to try it." Kyoka's eyes was glimmering with excitement, because with this ability, she could travel abroad with Kenjiki without caring about the time.

"Well, it's almost impossible for you to meet her, but I can still give you the ability myself." Kenjiki said, while reminiscing about that one blue haired woman.

"You can?!?" Shock was plastered on her face, as her understanding of quirk kept getting destroyed the more she talked with Kenjiki.

Kenjiki just chuckled seeing her shock, because what he was just talking about just now was far from what people of this world knew as a quirk where it was just mutation of Human body. Unlike what he meant which was infinitely close to that of magic.

They continued to talk around the topic of his ability and where he had been living abroad.

Talking and talking they did, until the 15 minutes mark had passed and it was time for the next race. Which was shown on the flying digital roulette.

"Cavalry Battle! A team battle to fight for the highest point available! Each team consists of 2-4 people with one being the leader and the meat target!" The skintight wearing hero, Midnight, explained the general rule of the game to the remaining participant.

Hearing the explanation, Kenjiki and Kyoka instantly glanced at each other and seemingly decided their team already without any talking needed.

At the same time, the other students also recruited people to their team.

"Also, I forgot to mention this before. Your rank in the previous race decides the point you have, with the first place given 10 millions points!" Midnight gave Kenjiki an oops look, making it clear that she intentionally did this.

With the revelation, every eye was laid upon the duo. Marking the two of them as prey.

Faced with those glares, Kenjiki knew that every teacher might be on this bandwagon to prevent him from winning his bet with Aizawa.

"So be it." Kenjiki said, not putting any of them into his eyes.

"Ararara, would you look at that~'' Midnight chuckled coquettishly, thinking that the situation was interesting to watch. "Seeing that you all are ready. It's time to start the battle."

Midnight was over the moon seeing that someone would either be dominated or maybe dominate.

At the same time that she was having her fantasy, the participants had gone to their own place and built a cavalry formation with the leader sitting on the top while being plastered with yummy points for the taking.

But suddenly.

"Can both of us continuously fly in the air?" Kenjiki suddenly asked Midnight, confusing everyone, because in their mind, he had a teleportation quirk and not some quirk that allowed him to fly.

"Uhh, oh yeah." Midnight fell into a deep thought as she pressed the earpiece she always had and contacted her small higher ups. "Who's the leader again? Kenjiki?" She asked them which was replied with a nod. 

"Only the leader is allowed to fly, that's also with a limitation where you can't go any farther than 2 meters from your partner." Midnight recited the words of a certain white furry principal.

"That's fair." Kenjiki nodded, knowing full well how unfair it's for his opponents if he's allowed to fly to the sky.

With that question answered, Kenjiki walked behind Kyoka before climbing up her shoulder and manifesting his wings. Waiting for the battle to start with his wings spread wide open.

"What's his quirk actually? Teleportation or Wings?" The crowd was confused, because his door summoning ability and now wings didn't correspond with each other.

"WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!" Present Mic once again blasted his voice the moment he noticed the crowd was visibly confused. "IF YOU'RE CONFUSED WITH JUST THIS! THEN ALL I CAN DO IS PRAY FOR YOU!"

While all of that was happening, Midnight gripped her whip and inhaled.

"CAVALRY BATTLE! START!" Midnight shouted as numerous kinds of quirks were activated and all kinds of noises erupted, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers despite their previous confusion.

On one side was a team led by a spiky haired boy who, the moment the battle started, went flying towards Kenjiki with his palm wide open and sweaty.

Unfortunately for him, Kenjiki had noticed his agitated expression beforehand and paid extra attention to him which resulted in him easily evading the attack by flying up.

While Kyoka, was on the ground being left behind to fend off the approaching mobs.

The boy, seeing his attack had failed, immediately maneuvered and directed his palm to the air behind him as strong explosions came out from both of his palms which at the same time propelled him towards the evading Kenjiki.

"Muscle brain? Wait, what kind of person is he? Explo-Brain?" Kenjiki looked at the rash and easily saw through the attack that was thrown by the boy.

He also realized the other teams that had caught up with them and tried to halt Kyoka's movement and separate them apart.

*KaWhoosh*

In an instant, Kenjiki disappeared from the explo-boy's sight and had gone to get Kyoka away.

"Don't you have any attack? Why are you just punching them while doing gymnastics?" Kenjiki had noticed that when she was attacked, all she did was leaping around and punching anything that came close to her.

"It's my first time fighting a real human that's not the teachers." Kyoka answered embarrassedly, because she had panicked and held back her strength and did not cave anyone's chest.

"Then use your quirk." Kenjiki suddenly dropped her from his arm as he had to focus on the explo-boy who had come to him once again. "I'd rather you'd sleep."

Kenjiki clenched his right hand and leaped towards the explo-boy who had already 1 meter away from him. 

The moment they collided and the boy's hand exploded, Kenjiki flew up and came down bashing the boy's head, instantly rendering him unconscious.

"That's settled." Kenjiki snorted as he saw the boy falling down until he was finally safely caught by his team. "Too bad."

Once he was done, Kenjiki came down and sat on Kyoka's shoulder.

Seeing that he came back unscathed, all of them noticed that the supposedly number one boy had been defeated by him.

"C'mere"
