( Kakashi Pov )

" What's that?"

' smells like gunpowder.'

Yuto:" It's explosives that I created, undetectable to sensors."

" But the smell."

Yuto:" Look up, it's about to rain, this could be a perfect time to ambush them and I'm sure they k ow this as well."

Looking up, I saw clouds gathering covering up the moonlight.

' Tsk, I won't have any light to read.'

" So what's up with you and Terumi Mei?"

Yuto:" What are you talking about?"

Kakashi:" Hmm, you don't think how I noticed the both of you looking at each other?"

Yuto:" Don't know kw what you're talking about? Me and her? I just see her as an annoyance."

" Hmm, are you sure about that?"

Yuto:" Just drop it."

" Someone's falling in love, though I won't judge on the age gap since it's pretty normal...."

Shiro:" Meow!"

Dodging the white furball, I kept on teasing Yuto.

Kakashi:" Was that a defensive reaction?"

Yuto:" No. Now, shut up, I need to plant these these explosives."

" You know they did say not to kill them as it would be a problem when they overthrow the Mizukage."

Yuto:" These are filled with sleeping gas, I grabbed as much of these herbs around the city."

Yuto showed me a plant that I recognized to be a sleeping agent, helps in surgery or capture.

" How much did you make? if it's too much, they might die of overdose."

Yuto:" Not my problem." Yuto shrugged.

' Ever since Yuto had his first kill, it seemed killing never bothered him anymore. Like he's a natural at this.'

Yuto:" And done, come on, let's go."

As Yuto finished planting his explosives, they both walked over to a hill, which overlooked to where the Kiri shinobi's were coming from.

A few minutes later, we saw the kiri-nin approach.

" Remember, don't kill them."

Yuto:" Uh huh, yeah, sure."

Yuto nodded and held his hand in a sign as the kiri-nins were right above the traps.

* Boom *

With a cloud of sleeping gas spreading over the battalion of shinobis, they were in a frenzy. But I noticed something odd.

" They're afraid. That wasn't sleeping gas, was it?"

As I looked at Yuto, he blew out Mist from his mouth and spread towards the kiri shinobi's.

" What's that?"

Yuto:" Illusion mist. Able to see illusion in the mist. This should hold them for a while."

" Let's go and meet up with Terumi Mei and Ao."

Yuto:" Alright."

( Yuto Pov )

Ao:" 225 Shinobi's are heading this way. At the moment, only 85 shinobis are out of commission. By Yuto and Kakashi. We need to defend this city by the time reinforcement arrives."

Mei:" There's 65 jonins, 79 chunins, and 81 genins."

" I feel sad for those Canon fodders." I leaned towards Kakashi as those 86 shinkbis that were in front were genins that suffered by my hands.

Kakashi:" Hm." Kakashi nodded.

Mei:" These are shinobis that are in the kill list. There's no need to capture them. Only capture the rest that aren't on this list."

Pictures were passed around, and as I took one, I immediately took the highest shinobi on the list.

' A stepping stone.'

I took a picture of an old man with a scar that reached his lips to his forehead.

Kakashi:" Are you sure you want to take that one?"

" Aren't you going to take one?"

Kakashi:" Nah, I'm too old for this."

" Bullshit, you're just lazy."

Mei:" Hoh, Yuto, are you sure you want to take that one? You could just stay here where it's safe."

' What's with this woman, acting nice all of a sudden.'

" No, I'm going out. I might as well get this over with."

Kakashi:" Bye."

" Come on, Shiro."

Shiro:" Meow." I left the tent as Mei and Kakashi looked on to see me leaving.

* A few minutes later ,*

I cut my targets throat with the hidden blade. I was in the middle of an enemy camp thanks to stealth.

??:" Sir, you need to see thi...."

* Crack *

A Ninja opened the flaps, and before hr could react, I broke his neck.

'Well, it's time to head back.'

Grabbing my target headband for confirmation, I left back to the city.

* Back at the city *

Mei:" Wow, I knew you would manage to complete the task?"

" Was that sarcasm?"

Mei:" I don't know what you're talking about?"

Ao:" The others managed to complete theirs as well. Though some didn't make it back."

Kakashi:" Great job, kid."

Random Rebel:" Lady Terumi! The Kiri ninjas are heading this way!!"

Mei:" GET into the defensive position, don't kill any of them if you can unless you have no choice!!"

Mei turned to look at me and Kakashi.

Mei:" I need you two to help as well."

" Eh, sure." I shrugged.

Kakashi:" We'll do our best."

Kakashi spoke with a dead tone.

As I reached the onto of the walls, I looked to see many Kiri shinobi's rushing towards us. Using the shadow clone jutsu, I created another clone.

'Water release: Water Formation Wall'

Spewing a large amount of water in a tide like wall, it spread out to 40 meters.

' Fire style: great Fireball jutsu'

Combining these two elements, I created a new jutsu steam.

[ + 100 damage for Steam attacks]

The Steam managed to burn the skin of every shinobi that was rushing towards us.

Using the skill Aroemancy to control the surrounding wind with the hell of my clone to pressurize the steam in the area and release it, creating an explosive shockwave.

* Boom *

No Kiri shinobi's died, but they were heavily injured.

* Poof *

Dispersing my shadow clone, I turned to look at a shock Mei.

" This should buy us some more time."

Mei:" U..uh y.. yeah, how did you do that, Yuto?"

" I'm just better."

Mei:" Well, that was great! How did you do that?"

' I see. As long as I don't call her an old Hag, she won't be so threatening.'

" Just the basics."

Mei:" Basic?"

" Yes, now I need to prepare for some rest."

Mei:" Of course, Yuto." She spoke with a smile. It still weirded me out since she always greeted me with cold eyes on the battlefield.

As I got to the tent, I lay down on the forgetting that Shiro was still on my head.

Shiro:" Meow!"

" I'm using you as a pillow. Deal with it." I spoke with my eyes closed.

And just like that, I fell asleep only to wake up by Kakashi.

Kakashi:" Yuto, there's reinforcement arriving."

Kakashi spoke as he shook me awake.

" Ugh, finally, I want to eat something."

Kakashi:" Not the rebellion, Yuto, it's the Kiri shinobis. Everyone needs to head up from and help in defending this place."

" Sigh, crap. You go first. I'll catch up."

Kakashi nodded as he went to help in the front line.

Getting up from bed, I picked up Shiro and put him on my shoulder.

' Ysk, damn rain is still going on. Too bad I don't have any lighting affinity, I could've just raikiri the hell out of those kiri shinobis.'

Arriving at the top of the wall once again, I ignored the greeting of Mei.

' Water jutsu: Hidden Mist technique.'

Spreading a mist over in a 350 raduis in front of the wall. I jumped down, dodging weapons thrown to me before disappearing into the mist.

As I landed, I took out my Elemental katana and imbued it with the mist element. The weight of the sword shifted, feeling like I was holding nothing at all.

But focusing more closely, I could see the sword covered in a layer of mist, looking like it was invisible in this area of mist.

'Fifth Form: Sea of Clouds and Haze'

Moving across the shinobis cutting their tendons, making them immobile. I moved so fast to the point that not even the jonis were able to react even though my stats are limited to Chunin.

' I think the mist is increasing my speed.'

Using the cape of the assassin's robes, I was able to hide my movements and able to use this technique to its full power.

That was the sounds coming from the mist. hearing the screams of their comrade not knowing their enemy was enough to cause these people feel fear.

When people feel fear, their bodies unconsciously release a pheromone in the air. Only animals with great senses are able to smell it. But I could as well, since my senses have been enhanced multiple times.

A few minutes passed, and half of the mist was dyed red, floating in the air. And as it dispersed. I was standing in the middle with shinobis on the brink of death but would still live.

The groans and screams were enough to make the rebels feel fear, and most of them felt sick to their stomach.

Using the wind to disperse the rest of the mist, I revealed myself in the middle of the battlefield.

I was standing their in all my glory without a drop of blood on my clothes or katana.

Walking back into the city, I turned to Mei.

" It seems we don't need any reinforcements."

Mei looked me in the eye but still smiled even after showing a gruesome display.

Mei:" It's alright, Yuto, you should rest now."

Kakashi:" Aiya, those jonins were quite troubling."

Kakashi and Ao helped in stopping the jonins that were about to join in since they're the only ones that could see through the mist.

The ones I took down were, at best, a special jonins and below. But I did take down some Jonin with only surprise attacks.

Mei:" Ao, take the kiri-nins to the holding cells."

Ao:" Yes, Lady Terumi."

" Welp, I'm going to sleep."

Kakashi:" Hmm, not going to join the celebration?"

" Nope."

Kakashi:" I heard Ms.Terumi was joining as well."

I turned to look at Kakashi.

" Seriously. Do you think I'm in love with Mei?"

Kakashi:" Well, maybe not love, but probably first crush."

" No, I'm going to sleep."

Kakashi:" You know you're still young, why not join the party for once, it wouldn't be so bad to relax."

" Sigh, fine, I guess so."

Kakashi:" That's it! Come on, Yuto, let's go."

" Right."

As we both arrived at the building where they're were going to hold the celebration, I knocked on the door. As I pulled my hand back, I heard a shadow clone disperse next to me.

* Poof *

' That bastard. He tricked me here.'

Kakashi was a shadow clone, I was staring at the spot where Kakashi disperse but came to when I heard the door open.

* Click *

Mei:" Hm? Yuto, what are you doing here?"

" Kakashi said there was a celebration party here."

Mei:" Pft, there's no celebration, I had everyone take a rest for the night. Hahaha."

' I'm going to tear that bastards book.'

" Sigh, I'll just leave." Before I could turn around, Mei grabbed my sleeve.

Mei:" It's alright, Yuto, why not celebrate with me?"

" Eh, sure, why not."

I sat on the couch with Shiro on my lap. and I looked out to the window, showing the moon outside.

Mei was making tea across from me. And as she finished, she handed me a cup.

Mei:" Isn't that your summoning contract?"

" Yeah, his name is Shiro."

Mei:" Cute name, mind if I pet him?"

" Sure, though he's supposed to be helping in battle, he mostly just sleeps."

Mei:" Is that so."

" Uh huh, be careful. His special skill is sleeping in the heat of battle."

Mei:" Really?" She had a beautiful smile as she stroked Shiros fur.

Shiro:" Purr."

'Fucking simp.'

As I looked around the room it was dark with only the moonlight lighting the room.

I turned to Mei as she was still stroking Shiros fur.

" Hey, look, I'm sorry about breaking your jaw."

Mei stopped petting Shiros fur and put a hand to her jaw.

Mei:" I could still feel the pain. And I'm sorry about trying to melt your deface off when we first met."

" It's alright."

Silence descended the room. Before I broke it.

" So, what happens after this?"

Mei:" After this well, do the same for the other city, town, and villages. alongside the way we'll recruit new people to join us. How about you Yuto?, are you and Kakashi going to stay?"

" No, I'm getting tired of my socks getting wet. Besides, I have family and friends waiting back at home."

Mei:" Tell me about your family."

" My family? My adoptive parents are nice, my father is quite the goofball but he's nice and friendly. My mother she loves to cook and obsessed with her garden."

Mei:" Adoptive?"

" Yeah, at five years old, I was adopted by them."

Mei:" Please tell more."

" Oh, did you know I had to help my father with his first date with my mother? It was quite amusing when she found out. "

For some odd reason, I feel comfortable around her. Ah, now I know why I didn't like her at first.

She reminded me of Lily, who always hid her true face behind a kind and cheerful personality. But Mei, hers were genuine.

It wouldn't be so bad, I guess, to fall in love once more.

Mei:" Why are you looking at me for?"

Taking her hand by surprise, I spoke.

" Mei, I think I'm falling in love."

Mei looked at me in shock. Holding her hand into mine, I took off my sunglasses and looked into her eyes.

Mei:" I..I..I don't know how to say Yuto, our age gap, and not to mention we're from different villages as well as my responsibilities as a leader."

" Do you feel the same way, Mei?"

We both looked at each other, and time seemed to stop.

Mei:" Of course I do, Yuto, I just never felt this way until you confessed your love."

" Then I'll wait until you're done with all of this. I know it's weird to fall in love with someone young..."

Mei:" I'll wait if I have to." She spoke.

' God, this feels weird.'

" Alright, but I have to tell you something, though."

I explained to her about having a harem in the future to her, and Mei had an open mind about it. But she gave a condition.

Mei:" If you're able to become the hokage, I won't mind it all, as it's normal to have multiple wives or husbands for people with high status."

' Shit, should I back out now? Fuck it, I'll just become the hokage if I have to.'

" Of course. Mei"

Mei:" But I should let you know, don't hide anything thing from me, alright."

" Sorry, I can't spill any village secrets."

Mei just deadpanned me.

Mei:" You know that's not what I'm talking about."

Quickly getting up, I grabbed Shiro and exited by the window.

" Welp, great talk. I'll see you later."

Mei:" Wai.."

I left before she could finish speaking. I walked back to my tent.

" Oh, you're not asleep yet."

Kakashi:" Someone's in a happy mood."

Kakashi spoke as he was reading his book with the help of the moonlight.

" Shut up, be greatful. I'm in a great mood, or else I would've ripped that book apart.

Kakashi:" GASP, you wouldn't dare."

" Shut up, I'm going to bed."

Kakashi:" Sure, sure, goodnight."

" Goodnight, you degenerate."

I put Shiro on the pillow and layer down while also using Shiro as a pillow.
