waking up to the birds chirping, I sat up and got off my bed, walked to my closet, and picked my nun outfit, and went to the washroom.

* 5 min later *

after fleshing up and changing into my nun outfit, I walked out of my room and just so happened to pass Yuto in the hall. he's the only one who seems to wake earlier than the other children.

"Good morning, Yuto. Are you going to the bathroom?"

I expected him to respond as he usually did with a nod and a hmm sound. except I heard a melodious voice from him once more.

Yuto:" Yes."

"I'll be making breakfast for everyone, alright?"

Yuto:" Yes."

' A third time!!'

After speaking, Yuto walked away.

"Umm, Yuto, the bathroom is that way."

Yuto:" Hmm,"

'and he went back to speaking like that.'

Both of us walked away to our destination. reaching the stairs, a sudden thought occurred to me. ' That's odd. you shouldn't have forgotten about the bathroom directions. unless he's still tired from that nightmare last night.' That was the only conclusion that I accepted.

Reaching the kitchen, I gathered the ingredients and was about to clean them when I looked up into the dining room. When I looked there, I found Yuto sitting with his bank face as usual. Even as an ANBU, I still can't read any expression on his face except his body language, which tells me he's bored.

With a smile on my face, I came near Yuto and asked, " Do you want to help clean the ingredient?"

*nods*

Yuto:" Hmm,"

"Alright, follow me then."

walking back to the kitchen with Yuto in tow. I started to explain to him about washing the ingredients. while Yuto picked up a vegetable and started washing it with water. I pulled out a cutting board and a kitchen knife from the cabinet and knife rack.

" After washing them, give them to me so I could peel them, alright?"

After finishing washing them, he handed me the vegetables while peeling them. I see Yuto from the corner of my vision watching me peel the vegetables with great intent.

'Hmm? nothing on his face says anything except his body that says he's curious, I think this is the first time he's been curious about anything.'

After saying that, I grabbed a pot and put it under the faucet, filling the pot with water, I turned around and turned the knob for the stove. After that, I turned the faucet off and put the pot on the stove to let it boil.

Turning to Yuto, I saw him finish cleaning the vegetables and was looking at me, I asked him to put the vegetables in the pot, and he did so.

"Great, now we need to add some seasoning, and we'll need to stir it once in a while understood?"

"Alright, Yuto, the soup is almost finished. Help me out with cleaning the tables and setting the bowls. alright?"

getting a bucket of hot water with some soup, Yuto and I rolled our sleeves up. I looked at Yutos' soft arms, which made me slightly jealous after joining the ROOT division in the ANBU. Finishing with the tables, I dumped the water out and picked up some bowls, turning to Yuto and asking him to set them on the table.

Yuto grabbed the bowls from my hands and set them on the tables, I also grabbed the other bowls to do the other side.

' He did a great job as it's his first time

I heard footsteps approaching, and turning to the footsteps I see Father Kanpu walking in, Father Kanpu was an older man with light green square glasses, grey hair that was slick back, and Grey mustache and beard.

Kanpur: "Good morning, Yakushi-San, up early as always, and uhh yuto-kun good morning as well."

"Good morning, Father."

Yuto:" Hmm,"

Father Kanpu:" And still silent as well."

"He just spoke a while ago."

Father Kanpu had a surprised face and turned to Yuto

Father Kanpu:" Hoh? Is that true, Yuto-kun?"

while Yuto sat at the dinner table, I grabbed the pot with a cloth and carried the pot to Yuto. Once there, I set the pot on the table and gave Yuto his portion. after that, I did the same for the other bowls on the table.

after a while, I was done. I heard children coming down from upstairs along with Father Kanpu as well as Sister Keiri, Keiri was a middle-aged woman with a round body and round face.

Seeing the children half asleep walking to their chairs put a smile on my face, looking at Keiri, she turned and looked at me with a frustrated face when asked she replied.

Keiri:" These kids are giving me a hard time waking them up!"

It's the morning already, and she's frustrated by the children already. Even though she's saying that I know she still cares about them deeply.

Everyone sat down at the table, and before everyone started eating, we all put our hands together, "Itadakumasu!!"

"Thank you for the food. Yakushi-San!"

Father Kanpu is sitting in the head chair. Before picking up his spoon, he chimed.

Father Kanpu:" Actually, Yuto-kun also helped as well, right Yakushi-San?"

"Yes, he helped with cooking and cleaning."

After I said that, everyone stared at Yuto, who was sitting at the back of the table, but it seemed that he ignored everyone and just kept eating.

As I look at the children's interaction with the girls glaring at the trembling boy. Gave me a smile looking at them when I heard Keiri talk, turning my head toward her. I saw her smile.

Keiri:" Well, at least the boy is finally doing something."

Father Kanpu also smiled and replied.

Father Kanpu:" Yes, it seems like he's improving well now. we just need him to open up."

I agreed with him. looking at Yuto, he was sitting at the back looking lonely seeing him kinda reminds me of my adoptive son, Kabuto. I wish he was here with us. Looking at Yuto once more, I steeled myself to try my best to make him open up.
