" Hey, get up." I spoke as I stood over Atalantas sleeping body.
Seeing her not waking up, I decided to kick her.
* Thud *
" Hey, wake up!" I shouted.
Atalanta slowly opened her eyes and gave me a death glare.
I just responded with a smirk.
Atalanta was slowly reaching for her bow as she kept glaring at me.
" Alright, come on, let's take down this hidden organization you spoke of." I spoke as I turned around.
As I took a few steps, I tilted my head and caught an arrow.
" Really?" I said as I tossed the arrow back, to her, which she caught.
" Hmph." She put her bow on her back as she walked forward.
She jumped over a tree as she continued walking.
Following her, I looked at the surrounding trees.
" Poor squirrels, they lost their homes because of a mad woman."
" I forgot how annoying you are. Maybe I should kill you here now." Atalanta spoke as she kept walking.
"Eh, you could try." I shrugged.
We kept walking until we walked out of the forest.
" So where we going?" I asked.
" Thessaly." She responded.
" Thessaly? is that where we start?"
Atalanta just nodded.
" Sigh, seems like a lot of traveling, I'm already regretting going with you." I said as I slouched.
" Too late, you're stuck with me." Atalanta ignored my slouching as she kept walking.
" Sigh, I'm sure your suitors would kill me just so they could have a chance to follow you." I spoke.
" Hmph, they're not strong enough. They wouldn't be able to keep up with me. " She stated.
" Hoh? don't tell me someone tried?" I asked
Atalanta nodded.
" A warrior tried to court me, but he didn't last a day when I hunted down the great luon in the west targeting the villages. He died and only lasted a couple of seconds."
" Really? damn at least he tried." I said.
Atalanta didn't say anything and just kept walking.
" Hmm, now that I remember, wasn't there a Nemean lion." I said as I looked at Atalanta.
" I remember that rumor, something about it having a snake as tail and skin that wouldn't be peirce by any weapon." She nodded.
" Wanna hunt it?" I grinned, but Atalanta shook her head.
" We don't have time. Besides, it's in the opposite direction." She explained.
" Tch."
' The hide would've been great crafting material.' I thought as we passed the city.
" There's a lot of guards." Atalanta spoke up as she observed the city.
" Pretty sure looking for you. After all, you did chase me out of the city." I spoke.
" Didn't you kill a couple of dozen assassins?" She turned her head to me.
" I have the right not to speak."I said as I walked towards a different road to pass the city.
Atalanta just snorted as she followed after me.

* A few days later *
" Crunch, munch Munch. Sho howsh da hushtin' ?" I spoke as I chewed an apple.
Atalanta gave me a disgusted look, which I ignored.
" Don't talk with your mouth full."
I just shrugged.
" Gulp. Deal with it." I said as I looked up to her with a smile.
" Sigh, what are you? a child?" She facepalmed as she dropped the deer by the fire.
She then crouched and started butchering the deer.
" Hey, careful that hide could get us sone money. Crunch." I spoke as I continued to eat my apple.
Atalanta just rolled her eyes and ignored me.
" Like you need money." She stated.
" Eh, a Lishttle won't hur' Munch Munch. "
" Stop talking with your mouthful!" She shouted as she looked up only to see me stuffing my face with another apple.
I just paused.
" Is that my apple?" She pointed.
* Crruuunnnncchhhh *
I slowly took a bite of the apple.
And that angered Atalanta as applied were her favorite.
Her eyes turned sharp with a deadly glint as she flipped the knife downwards as she pounced towards me.
" Bastard!! Ummph!!" Just as I caught her wrist that held the knife, I stuff the apple into her mouth.
Her eyes widened as she realized what I just did.
She looked down to me as she slowly ate the apple.
" Uuh, can you get off?" I awkwardly said as I tried to push her off.
Atalanta slowly got off as she ate the apple as she sat on s log.
" What wrong with you all of a sudden? " I looked at it as I got up.
She didn't say anything as she kept eating the apple.
" Sigh, want me to skin the deer?" I asked as I held my hand out for the knife she was using.
She handed me the knife as I skinned the deer.
Atalanta just watched me butcher the deer.
" Sigh, alright, what's up?" I said as I looked up to her as I was still cutting the deer.
" It's nothing." She responded.
I just raised an eyebrow
" Well, it's something." I spoke.
" Sigh, have you....." She paused.
" Have I what?" I asked.
" Fallen in love?" She finished.
We both looked at each other.
I responded.
" Yes. I've fallen in love." I went back to butchering the deer.
Atalanta kept quiet.
" Besides, I don't see you as a romantic interest. And you have your loyalty towards the goddess Artemis." I said as I finished butchering the deer.
Atalanta didn't say anything as she just stared at her clenched fist.
" I don't mind breaking my oath..."
"Atalanta." I interrupted.
" Even if you did, even if you try, we just barely met after a few years. It's best we remain as friends. Besides, it would be unfair to my lovers at home."
" Lovers?" She questioned as she looked up.
" I have two lovers. Does that bother you?" I asked as I had some deer meat over the fire.
Atalanta was silent as she just stared at the fire.
" Sigh, besides, don't you despise men? And you have an oath with Artemis, You're a good friend, but I don't want you to risk yourself over someone who has a harem." I spoke.
I checked the food if it was done. Taking the meat from the fire, I held it out to Atalanta.
" I don't know what holds for us in the future, but I know I could trust you with my back. So let's enjoy the moment and our journey while we still can." I smiled as Atalanta looked up and grabbed the meat.
" I guess you're right." She smiled.
" Yeah, just two Hero's taking down an evil organization." I grinned.
We both ate as the sun sets in the distance.
