Sadistic

[A/N] ~ Exams suck.

Welp updates will remain slow for another month. Now that I have bit more free schedule I can say that I can release a few chapter every week. One chapter a day isn't possible for the time being

So here's a longer chapter than usual to make up for for last week. (Not that long though, around 2500 words.)

I think that's all for now.

While Akito was with Emi, Saeko was dragging Riza to the storage room by her hair.

The storage room was mostly empty which worked in her favor. She tossed Riza to the side and tied her limbs with ropes. Making sure the ropes were tight enough she left.

Saeko had also made sure that Riza didn't have anything sharp with her. It would be infuriating if she somehow escaped.

Returning to the bloody lobby she frowned before making another trip to the storage room. This time she tossed the two unconscious men, The fat one that Akito knocked out and the thin one she stabbed.

Giving them the same treatment as Riza she locked the door and returned to the room filled with corpses.

The sight was just as horrifying as before which made her sad... It was sad that only a few days after the apocalypse something like this happened.

Closing her eyes she let out a long sigh.

It wasn't something in her control. Around the world deeds even worse than this were being committed and she was powerless to stop them... for now.

Settling her turbid emotions Saeko properly lined the corpses in her backyard and sat down on her knees.

Joining her hands together she prayed for them.

Getting up Saeko's eyes were filled with determination. She was going to have her world freed from this disaster as soon as possible and the DCG would help her accomplish that.

She knew it would take time for her world to turn back to normal but now one of her goals was to fix this cursed world.

...

[Saeko: Where are you?]

Akito lifted his gaze from the cute little kid who was munching on cookies and replied to the little buzz in his mind.

[Akito: In the guest room with the kid we saved. Have you dealt with them?]

[Saeko: Yes, The two goons and Riza are tied up in the storage room. Can you help me bury these people Akito?]

[Akito: Of course! I'll be there in a bit, the kid seems sleepy. She must've been tired.]

[Saeko: Mmm, It would be surprising if she could've gotten proper sleep in the past few days.]

Emi had told him that she had arrived here with her mom yesterday but it didn't mean she wasn't tired.

"Akito nii-san,"

[Akito: I'll be there soon then.]

[Saeko: Okay.]

"Yeah Emi?"

Emi raised her head from the cookie and looked at Akito with sad eyes, "Where's my mama?"

Akito flinched and his body froze. The image of the lifeless lady on the table passed through his mind and his heart ached to look at Emi.

As someone who had lost his parents at a young age, he understood how devastating it could be to realise the people who raised you for your whole life were no more.

But he wouldn't lie to her.

Remembering how the police officers had comforted him he frowned. One hesitantly tried to say they passed away while another said they had gone somewhere far away.

How could his eleven-year-old self not understand the meaning of their words?

But kids were egocentric and delusional thoughts such as, 'Maybe it was my fault. Are they mad at me? When will they come back? Where did they go?' emerged in his mind.

In the back of his mind, he knew that they were never coming back but it was hard to accept that.

As he grew up he realised he would've preferred it if someone had been honest with him, maybe then he could've coped with it much earlier.

He knew their intentions were kind but...

The eleven-year-old Akito had taken half a year before being able to smile again.

Thanking Yuna once again in his heart he softly patted Emi's head and spoke as softly as he could, revealing the harsh truth. "... Your mom is no more."

Emi flinched as tears welled up in her eyes, "Y-your lying..."

Picking her up he placed her on his lap and stroked her back, "I'm not. Your mom said that she was sorry, she also told me to take care of you from now on. Don't think you're alone."

He didn't know if she heard him or not but all he could hear was her loud crying. His shirt grew wet with her tears but all he could do was comfort her.

...

Time passed and Emi's whimpering turned silent as she suddenly fell asleep with tears staining her face.

Akito wiped her face before placing her on the bed and covering her with a blanket. With a heavy heart, he headed to where Saeko was.

The room was as bloody as before but the corpses weren't there anymore. He looked towards the backyard and saw Saeko standing in front of the neatly placed bodies.

"You're here." Saeko turned her head back and smiled at him. This action caused Akito to involuntarily smile back.

"Let's bury them then."

"Do you have shovels?"

"Yes."

With that, they began digging, and after an hour of work, six burial holes were made. With solemn faces, they placed the bodies inside and started filling them up.

Saeko wiped the sweat off her face, "Do we head to those three now?" There was a flash of eagerness in her eyes which Akito didn't miss.

"Well of course, but let's eat something first aren't you hungry?"

"Eh... I am."

"I've got some food for us then."

...

Akito and Saeko ate some bread with juice, it was enough to satisfy their hunger.

"What do we do with Emi?" Asked Saeko, Akito had told her about Emi a bit while they were eating.

"Of course, we're taking her with us." Akito adjusted his hair, "Whether she stays with us or I drop her off to one of the neighbors is a question for later."

"Mmm." Saeko nodded with a vague smile. She sighed and said, "After we look for each other's family we can focus on the DCG's Quests."

Akito raised a brow and asked, "What about your father?"

Saeko frowned before her tense body relaxed, "My father was stronger than me before I got the gift from DCG. Even three of the past me couldn't beat him, he should have no problem taking care of himself."

"Well that's surprising, didn't think your father was so strong." After praising the man who raised the sadist in front of him he continued, "We'll head to Saya's house first since it's pretty close."

"Okay, let's deal with those goons first." Saeko turned her head towards the storage room and Akito's eyes narrowed, 'Have I unknowingly signed up for a bloody show? Oh well...'

"Yup, Let's deal with them before Emi wakes up then."

Saeko smiled at his words.

...

'Where am I?' I Thought after opening my tired lids. Why did it seem so hard? But I couldn't pay attention to it as a bout of pain assaulted my chest, as if I had been hit with a hammer or something.

A few minutes passed and the pain was still there but I was able to think properly now. I tried moving my hands but all my body did was slither on the ground...?

"... What?"

Another bout of pain came in the form of a headache and my memories returned. I jerked my head and looked around in terror, all I saw was a dimly lit room and two unconscious men.

Those demons weren't here... I sighed in pleasant relief.

"Arima and Takio?" I tried calling out to the two of them but they were at a distance I couldn't reach without scraping my skin by dragging myself to them.

I didn't want to do that.

There was only silence in the room but it was deafening.

What went wrong?

Why am I in such a situation?

Tears welled up in my eyes. They slid down my dry face. I tried seducing the kid but he rejected someone as beautiful as me and instead said that I shouldn't die without pain.

What's wrong with him? Is he a mental patient? Or Is he gay?

Why were two kids acting as advocates of justice? I hadn't even done anything wrong, the world was in pieces so why should I have to take care of a bunch of kids?

Just because that pervert Hizaki wanted to pleasure himself? Those kids were burdens! They were a waste of space and food!

They were even brazen enough to ask for food even after being fed once a day! Crazy beggers.

I should've just killed Hizaki and run away by myse-

Creak!

The sounds of the door drifted into my ears and my eyes widened.

Thump!

My heartbeat rose.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

My heart continuously rammed against my chest.

Everything in my vision blurred as I slowly raised my head only to be met with two glistening purple pair of pupils.

The owner of those pupils had a beautiful smile but... It made me almost lose my breath.

'No!' I screamed inside my head as panic took over me. All I could think of was, 'No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No!'

I hurriedly looked behind her and saw the pretty boy from before he was looking at me with loathe but I couldn't care, I tried to drag myself towards him.

Shi!

Before I could crawl any further I saw a sword stabbed into the floor just in front of me. The cold shine of the metal was reflected in my eyes and a chill went up my spine.

"You should start Saeko. Let's not waste time." The pretty boy said to the girl whose name was apparently Saeko.

Start? Start what?

An ominous feeling grew in my chest as I once again locked eyes with the girl named Saeko, who was smiling with a grin.

M-Maniacs... They were Maniacs!

...

Saeko looked at the pathetic state of Riza and chuckled. She removed Muramasa from the ground and held it with a relaxed demeanor.

'She doesn't have any value. Should I just kill her after a few cuts?' Saeko didn't really want to go overboard. It would be unsightly.

Soon she came to a decision. She was going to enjoy causing pain to this woman while instantly killing those other two men.

She raised her sword and the sharp tip of Muramasa made contact with the cheek of Riza who was trying to move back in fear.

Her grip tightened and the blade dug into her cheek. Riza was screaming in fear but she didn't even hear it... or rather she ignored it.

She moved the blade down and unlike a sharp cut, the tip slowly made its way down tearing the skin.

Her skin was being forcefully ripped apart!

Blood started coating Riza's right cheek. She felt as if she was in the abyss of despair. The agony was unbearable for a delicate woman like her.

Saeko didn't stop, she fully intended to satisfy herself. She continued making cuts on each limb, hands, wrists, ankles, chest, and even the stomach.

Riza's body was bathed in blood, her eyes were bloodshot and her breathing grew ragged.

She questioned herself. What had she done wrong?

Was it killing the kids? Or was it allowing Hizaki to rape those women?

Every breath caused her chest to contract and expand but since her chest was lathered with cuts it just caused her to wince with every breath.

She barely opened her blood-soaked lips and spoke in a cracked voice, "P...eas... k..l... k-kill me, please. I c-can't stand it anymore."

"Oh?"

This caused Saeko to lose concentration and she stopped for a second. She suddenly realised the state Riza was in and hurriedly peeked to the side.

Akito was standing there with a thoughtful expression. As if he wasn't bothered by whatever was happening in front of him.

This made her question whether he was truly like her. Why didn't he have a huge grin like her? Why wasn't there any enjoyment in his eyes?

Fortunately, he didn't seem repulsed and this caused her to sigh in relief. As long as he didn't dislike her everything was fine.

Saeko suddenly realised how much she cared about Akito's opinion of her.

She sighed and turned her attention to Riza again. She wondered how to continue.

There were many things she could do. Stab her eyes, slash her private parts, cut her feet up and force her to stand but she wasn't that cruel.

She was just a young girl after all, even if she enjoyed seeing others in pain.

As for Akito, he was thinking of something completely random. Honestly, he wasn't fond of gruesome sights, they were disgusting.

Even when Hizaki was being eaten alive most of his body was obscured by the zombies around.

So he was thinking that if he was the one doing the torture then he would focus more on the psychological side.

Something like making Riza stand on a box on her tiptoes with a noose around her neck so that if she tried to get off of her tiptoes, she would be hanging and choking.

He would leave her like that for hours or something every day and increase the time every single day to make Riza realise that death was slowly approaching her.

It should be enough to mentally break her.

Of course, all of this was just imagination he wasn't even a sadist. He didn't think he was ready to inflict someone with such pain... yet.

As for Saeko, she was already done with Riza. She stabbed Muramasa straight into her neck. Even she was getting bored, Riza's reactions were a little dull.

Maybe she was doing it wrong?

She then killed the other two as well. No point in wasting time.

Seeing that she was done Akito turned his head away from the gory sight and looked at Saeko, "Good job. She might fear you even in hell. Well... take care of Emi for now, I'll dump their bodies outside. We'll leave after this."

With a shake of his head, he continued, "It's sad how our trip here ended like this."

He lamented with pity and Saeko nodded with him. She didn't like how a casual trip of hers with Akito turned into a bloody massacre.

Sad.
