106 Chapter 104: Do You Want to Be My Father?

The air was thick with tension as Jon felt a sudden, sharp pain on the back of his neck. Instinctively, he reached back and discovered that a spider had bitten him. He crushed the creature in his hand, its lifeless body falling to the ground.

"Am I going to turn into Spider-Man now?" Jon joked, recalling how Peter Parker became Spider-Man.

A sinister laugh echoed through the air, and Jon looked up to see a human-faced spider swinging from a nearby tree. "Hehehe... You're so calm now, but you clearly don't understand the situation you're in!" The demon taunted him.

This human-faced spider was also a demon captured by the Rui, taking on the role of his spider demon brother. Jon's eyes narrowed as he assessed the threat before him.

Hiss! Hiss!

"Now, look around you!" The human-faced spider commanded, and Jon heard a rustling sound. He glanced around and saw countless palm-sized spiders with human faces crawling towards him, their eyes filled with malice.

As Jon felt another sharp pain on the back of his neck, he reached back and found what seemed like a large, swollen abscess. The human-faced spider laughed maniacally. "Do you feel the pain and swelling on the back of your neck? You were bitten by my spider, and the venom will soon spread. You'll become just like these spider demons around you!"

Jon smirked at the small human-faced spider demon, his eyes filled with defiance. "Even if I'm not turning into a spider, I am way more evil than what you think." With that, he pulled out a big silver high-tech gun, enchanted it with hellfire, and aimed it at the human-faced spider.

The human-faced spider's eyes widened as it sensed something was wrong. Although it had never seen such a weapon before, it felt an inexplicable sense of oppression. "What is that in your hand?" The creature asked, its voice trembling with fear.

Boom!

"Something to send you to meet your maker," Jon replied nonchalantly. Then, a lava-like red beam instantly blasted the human-faced spider into pieces, its remains scattering across the ground.

Jon was about to put away the gun when he suddenly sensed the presence of evil. He heard a hissing sound and turned to see a young girl who looked strikingly similar to the previous spider mother hiding behind a tree, her face filled with terror.

"More food has arrived," Jon said with a sinister smile as he looked at the girl.

The young girl cowered behind the gnarled trunk of an ancient tree, her trembling fingers pointing accusingly at Jon. "You... you killed my brother!" she cried, her voice echoing through the eerie silence of the forest.

She was a demon, a member of the spider family, playing the role of the sister in their twisted game of pretend.

"What's the big deal? He wasn't your real brother. Are you also into that boring game of family pretending?" Jon shrugged, his voice laced with a cold indifference that sent shivers down her spine.

"But it doesn't matter. Either way, you're going to die." Jon's words hung heavy in the air as he pulled out his chain, the metallic links glinting ominously in the dim light.

"Father, save me!" The spider sister's desperate plea pierced the silence, her voice filled with terror.

Boom!

The ground shook as a colossal figure descended from the sky, casting a monstrous shadow over the forest. It was a giant spider demon, its massive, muscular body resembling a titan. Its entire body was pitch black, and its face was a grotesque mask of countless eyes. Its mouth, like a giant pincer, dripped with saliva, a chilling testament to its monstrous nature.

This demon had completely lost its human characteristics, stripped of all rationality. Rui had manipulated it, turning it into a puppet that obeyed his every command, forcing it to play the role of the father in their perverse family.

"You... cannot... approach..." The spider father's voice was a dark, ominous rumble that echoed through the forest. "My... family!!"

With a roar, the spider father charged forward, slamming his fist into the ground with a force that shook the earth. Jon quickly dodged backward, and with a deafening boom, a large crater was created in the ground.

"He's completely lost his free will, huh." Jon's voice was indifferent, his eyes cold as he pulled out his chain and imbued it with the hellfire.

As Jon's mastery over the powers of the Ghost Rider grew, he could now enchant his weapons with Hellfire even without transforming into the Spirit of Vengeance form. However, he still couldn't possess the undying body in his normal state and would need the protection of the Spirit of Vengeance if he suffered a fatal injury.

"In that case, let me free you."

With a swift movement, the fiery chain flew out, wrapping around the spider father's neck. The demon let out a guttural scream as an intense burning sensation seared his flesh, the unbearable pain echoing through the forest.

With a powerful yank, Jon pulled the chain, and it sliced through the spider father's neck, severing his head in an instant. The demon's body crumpled to the ground, its reign of terror finally brought to an end.

Jon stood over the defeated spider sister, his expression cold and unfeeling. "Rest in peace, it's over now."

Jon stared at the spider father's body as it gradually turned to ashes and disappeared. The spider sister was still at large, and he had to find her before she could cause any more harm.

As he began to look around, Jon couldn't help but wonder if the spider sister had already sought out Rui for protection. He scoffed at the thought, knowing that seeking refuge with Rui would only bring her more suffering. "What a fool," he muttered under his breath. "She'd be better off dying quickly at my hands."

Jon knew Rui's intentions all too well. The demon didn't confront Jon out of fear, but rather because he wanted his so-called "family" to protect him. He craved the joy of being a son, of feeling protected and loved. The thought left Jon speechless, unable to comprehend the twisted desires of such a creature.

Determined to put an end to the demons' reign of terror, Jon wrapped the chain around himself and continued his search for the last two demons on the mountain: the spider sister and Rui. He knew that time was of the essence, and he couldn't afford to waste a single moment.

Aaaaaaaaaah!

As Jon followed their scent, he suddenly heard a scream just as he was about to close in. It was a young girl's scream, undoubtedly the spider sister's.

When he arrived at the scene, he found the spider sister kneeling on the ground in pain, her fingers severed. In front of her, Rui was weaving a spider web with his hands. The web was covered in blurry flesh and blood, clearly the result of him using the web to cut off the spider sister's fingers. He was punishing her in this cruel manner.

"Torturing your friend, huh? How touching!" Jon said sarcastically, his voice dripping with disdain.

Rui glanced at him and coldly said, "Friend?! Don't confuse our deep bond with such a shallow relationship. We are family, bound together by a powerful connection!"

"But... on second thought!" Rui changed his tone and looked at Jon. "Just now, you killed our father, mother, and brother, right?"

Jon tilted his head and smiled, a wicked glint in his eyes. "Do you want to avenge them?"

"Avenge? Heh..." Rui spoke coldly. "I don't need weaklings who can't even protect their own family. I can find new family members to fill the void!"

"However, there is a perfect candidate right in front of me." Rui looked at Jon. "You were able to kill them all, which means you're strong. So... how about you become my father and gain immortality?"
