Chapter 2: The Descent

Leon awoke feeling two things, a deep sense of restfulness and a tight constricting sensation. Not daring to think too deeply, Leon decided to just focus on the positive, for one thing, he was finally going to take his first steps in his new world.

Leon had planned as best he could in his limited time in the afterlife, and now that he was about to be born, he would be one step closer to receiving his other wishes that due to circumstances couldn't be directly accessed by him. While his mind was racing in nervousness and excitement, he felt a sudden change in his surroundings.

Feeling the increasing pressure, Leon first thought he was going through the normal birth process. Noticing something wrong, Leon noticed that the warmth of his mother's spirit felt further away from him than would be possible if he was still in her stomach. Right before he could begin freaking out about this bizarre experience his ears finally registered the sounds around him.

"Look at him darling, he's the perfect combination of the both of us." His mother's emotional voice reached him first, confusing him as he realized he really wasn't in her stomach anymore. "I just hope everything goes smoothly with his world baptism; you know how hard it will be if he must be sent down into a lower reality right after being born. Especially with talents as strong as his." The masculine voice he heard that could only be his father sounded both more ordinary than he expected and like the most unforgettable sound he had ever heard.

Leon felt like he understood what was happening, this was the cliche scene where the protagonist's talent was too strong upon birth and attracted fatal trouble for his family. Leaving no other options but for the hidden family protectors to come out and send him off to some lower realm where he would steadily go through adversity and rise to his rightful place as the ruler of all the heavens... but, according to the god he met this was supposed to be a super futuristic scientific fantasy...

'Hmm, I really hope that's not the situation. I am really looking forward to exploring this world in a relaxed way and would hate to have to literally fight from the first moment of my life' Leon thought. He tried to think about countermeasures but felt that was too much work and he would rather just take things as they happen for now.

As if waiting for him to stop thinking, the pressure that had been steadily pressing down on him with increasing force suddenly doubled. Then, it doubled again, and again and again until even breathing felt almost impossible.

The pressure seemed to change as it grew stronger, becoming almost malevolent in its efforts as if the world itself was telling Leon he wasn't welcomed here. It was as if the world looked down on Leon and wanted to show him his place.

Knowing that he couldn't let the situation continue and beginning to feel something rise in his tiny chest, a savage and imperious force filled his tiny body, and he did the only thing he could while feeling the pressure surround him with such force that he couldn't even open his eyes.

Leon screamed. It started off a small, tiny sound that built up inside his small body until he began to physically shake with the strain. Finally, right when he felt he might pass out Leon heard an explosion go off inside his head and a faint voice seemed to whisper to him from some distant source. "...A true Sovereign... never bends... to force..."

Simultaneously, a purple-gold light exploded from Leon's infant body shattering the transference array that helped to deliver babies safely without hurting anyone involved and regulated the pressure a newborn will feel upon entering the world for the first time.

If Leon was capable of opening his eyes, he would have seen the pillar of light that erupted out of his body and shot straight through the ceiling of the building, bypassing it as if didn't exist. The light pierced into the sky and transformed into a beast of untold size; it appeared as if a whole galaxy in the shape of some unknown beast had taken over the night sky.

While in the future this scene would be looked upon as the rise of a new age of monsters, for now it was nothing more than the sign of another exceptional descendant being born into the main Erobrer Family. The manifestation moved through the sky above the hospital, turning to unleash a soundless roar that vibrated the air above the city.

Don't be fooled by the lackluster response, if this was any other fold of reality a situation like this would have spread across the entire universe and just the manifestation alone would have brought great prosperity to all who saw it and the sounds would have destroyed the cycle of life and death.

Leon felt his throat start to constrict. The mysterious force that had allowed him to roar for so long vanished, leaving Leon breathless even as the pressure of the world continued to bear down on him. Thankfully the pressure was no longer increasing, but it was clear that the situation was not over just yet.

Still unaware of the lightshow his body was currently causing, Leon really felt like cursing. 'WTF? Can this fucking world not play around with me? I just want to enjoy my new life, but if this shitty world dares to keep messing with me see if I don't fucking rip whatever bullshit heavenly will apart!! As we used to say in America, you fuck around, you will find out.'

Seeming to sense his emotions, the pillar of purplish gold light began to condense until only a small circle of light, the size of his body remained. From the increasingly dazzling light, an indistinct shape could be seen beginning to form above Leon's body. The shape gradually became more condensed as the light seemed to give way to short, impossibly soft fur that sparkled in the surrounding light.

"Oh? It seems our little lion is going to be quite strong. He's already got a soul beast like you, my love." Richard looked proudly at his son as he felt the World's Will beginning to grace his son with his rewards for surviving the baptism. The strange beast that had descended to become his son's Soul Beast was also not a simple existence.

"I can only hope that he awakens a high enough level of bloodline from you dear, otherwise it will be hard if not impossible for our little prince to control his strength." Lenora, while excited to see such a strong activation from her little prince's bloodline, couldn't help but feel scared that her bloodline's presence would affect the full power of her husband's bloodline in Leon's body.

'I know my little prince will be fine regardless, besides as a child of mine no mere bloodline will affect his future.' Lenora let out a small sigh as she released the tension building in her stomach. 'Still, if his bloodline doesn't fully awaken it's not the end of the world, at most I will go refine a few universes to help speed up the process.'

Satisfied with her plans, Lenora reached over to her husband and tightly gripped his hands as they watched Leon continue to accept her powers into his soul and bloodline, further perfecting his foundation.

All this time Leon was just trying to understand what was happening to him. 'Honestly, what the hell type of introduction is this supposed to be?!? I really hope I don't die before I can even get access to my other wishes. That would be too pathetic an outcome for me.'

While random thoughts continued to fly through his mind, he finally took notice of the being forming above him as the strange force that had taken control of his body disappeared.

Looking closer, Leon would have burst into maniacal laughter at his good luck. 'Well, I can't wait to see how you evolve in this OP universe...' His thoughts trailed off as he began to feel that same pressure crushing him from all around.

The last thought he had before his body erupted in another shower of light was simple, 'Mew, please make sure I make it through this the best way possible'

I'm just going to leave this right here...don't hate me if it takes longer for chapters because I am mostly writing the details as I go, I have a beginning and ending already planned out but how we get there I haven't decided yet. Anywho, enjoy the chapter
