15 Summer Rose

-A while ago-

"I…m..g..iong..to…survive!" Summer gritted her teeth, as she used her sheer will to move forward, her body was exhausted, and her blood was flowing out of her body uncontrollably.

Her vision was blurry, she could barely focus, only due to her will to live she managed to go this far, a normal person would have given up at this point, but Summer couldn't and wouldn't because she had a family that was waiting for her to get home.

Flashes started to appear in her mind, the face of her husband Tai.

Her daughters, Ruby and Yang.

She couldn't die, she didn't want to because she didn't want to leave her husband and daughters, however despite her desire and will, her body was giving up, and the pain was getting unbearable.

Even breathing is painful at this point, she walked and walked, hoping that there's a miracle, and when she was about to give in, she saw a door.

It wasn't just a normal door, but a door that was literally so bright that it should have blinded her, but it didn't that's why she thought it was just a hallucination, she couldn't help but chuckle at the sight, she must've been really desperate to hallucinate something like this.

However, she'll take her chances, whether it's truly a hallucination or a doorway to heaven, it doesn't matter anymore, with the last of her strength she pushed the door open and immediately blacked out as she was too exhausted to continue.

Her last thought was. 'I'm sorry Ruby my little rose and Yang my sunshine, it seems like mommy isn't going to make it.'

And a lone tear fell out from her eyes.

-A few hours later-

Summer slowly opened her eyes, she never thought that she would be able to, her eyes saw an unfamiliar ceiling and said. "Is this heaven..?"

It was quite different than she imagined, she thought heaven was made out of clouds.

"Unfortunately, Mrs. Rose, you are not in heaven." A man replied beside her.

Almost immediately she cut off her musing, and stood up from the bed she was laying in a while ago, and was about to grab her non-existent sheath ready to attack the unknown man.

This was her huntress instinct in the play, this is what she was taught to be always vigilant and cautious of anyone.

However, she realized that her precious sheath along with her weapon wasn't in her waist.

"Woah, woah! Good thing I removed your weapon or else I would have been sliced like tofu!" The man joked.

Summer suddenly started blinking as she realized her predicament, immediately her face blushed, and started apologizing. "Oh, my gods! I'm so sorry!"

Then she heard the man chuckle and replied. "Apologies accepted."

Summer had finally a better look at the unknown man, and her first thought was. 'How handsome…'

Then immediately destroyed that thought before it could grow into something more. 'No, no Summer Rose! You can't think about that with another man! For Oum sake, you're a married woman!'

She couldn't stop the blush that was forming on her cheeks, curses! Her body has betrayed her!

It took a while for her to calm down, and after that she realized something. "Wait, how do you know my name?"

The handsome man smiled and replied. "Who knows?"

Summer knew this man was suspicious and she should be cautious of this person, yet….for someone, she can't!

As she felt like she could trust him even though she just met him, not to mention this man got a certain vibe in him.

If she were to put it into words, it would be, like mysterious and powerful, a man with many secrets, kinda like Ozpin but more mysterious and dangerous than the headmaster.

"Anyway, I'm glad that you're now awake Mrs. Rose, thankfully I managed to heal you in time or else you'd be a goner." The man said seriously.

Hearing that realization dawned on her, her face immediately became deadly pale as she remembered that she was just a step from her grave.

She almost died and was supposed to but, thanks to this mysterious man she managed to live.

Summer's gaze locked into the man and started thanking him. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

She bowed her head several times at the man, to show how grateful she was for saving her, and then tears started to fall out from her eyes.

She can't believe it, she lived!

It was nothing but a miracle, it was truly a close one, then the mysterious man smiled. "You're welcome, you're very lucky that I know healing magic or else you'd be dead by now."

"Ah, yes- wait magic?" Her eyes widened at that revelation, and then she thought. 'No, no that's ridiculous…only Maidens, Ozpin, and Salem are capable of doing magic.'

"You must mean, semblance!"

"No, magic, I know the difference between the two of them." Her savior looked at her seriously.

Summer wanted to say that it's ridiculous because there's no way that it's possible, but for some reason, she believed him, and what he was telling her was the truth.

And that is exactly why, she immediately became nervous, if this person truly have magic it could only mean-

Before she could finish her thought, he cut it off as he said. "If you're wondering, I'm not part of Salem's group or Ozpin for that matter."

Oh…and just like that, her nervousness disappeared, but not completely. This person is still suspicious, but he was also her savior, so she'll give him the benefit of doubt.

"I-i see…"

"Mhm.." He nodded then continued. "Do you know where you are right now Mrs. Rose?"

Summer tilted her head and replied hesitantly. "Umm…your house?"

Then the man chuckles. "You're not exactly incorrect but no, this is my shop, however, it wasn't exactly the right answer either, maybe I should be more specific with my question, do you know 'where' this place is? Its location?"

"Umm…" Summer wasn't sure how to answer that question. "Mistral?"

"No."

"Atlas?"

The man snorted. "As if."

"Vacuo?"

"Nope."

"V-vale!" Summer was sure of this, because where would this place be the Grimm lands?

"Wrong, none of them is the right answer, this place isn't located anywhere from your world continent, nor this place is part of your universe." The man answered.

Her first reaction was to laugh, because that's impossible, there's no way this place isn't part of Remnant, however, the man was serious, there wasn't a trace of him joking at all.

"I…"

"You don't believe me, don't you? Well, I can't really blame you, however, I'll show you proof, why don't you take away the curtain and look at the window beside you." He said.

And Summer did, and Oum she saw something that made her jaw drop hard, she saw planets, and stars at the window, in fact, this very building itself was floating in space.

Seeing this undeniable proof, no matter how ridiculous and far-fetched it is, she had no choice but to believe, after all, didn't they say seeing is believing?

That is exactly what Ozpin did when she and the rest of her team didn't believe in the existence of magic and maidens.

"Do you believe me now?"

That, she did.

It took a few minutes for her to process everything, honestly, it's a surprise that it took her such a short time to process.

Hooray for her ability to adapt, letting out a sigh, she stared at her body, just a while ago it was filled with wounds and now, she couldn't see any, it was as if what happened to her was nothing more than a dream.

But she knew that it was very real, after all the pain was real, the exhaustion that she felt, the flashes that she experienced there's no way she'd forget about it.

"I'm surprised that you're taking this quite well, Mrs. Rose, others would have already panicked." The man said with a slight smile.

Well, she's honestly surprised too.

"Anyway, if you're worried about getting back to Remnant, don't worry I can send you back there."

That…. honestly made her let out a not-so-small amount of relief, meaning she could go home anytime, that's good to know.

"But, since Mrs. Rose stumbled upon my shop, why not check out the things I sell before leaving here, I guarantee you'll be interested in what I sell." The man smiled mysteriously.

Summer suddenly scratched the back of her head and embarrassedly replied. "But I don't have any money right now…"

The man started to laugh and said, "Don't worry about that, you can simply convert something from your possession, like your sword for example, or those mystic eyes- I mean, silver eyes. Besides, even if you have any currency from your world it wouldn't be worth much in this place anyway."

Summer couldn't help but feel nervous as she heard his words, it's sending danger flags in her head, however, despite that she decided to take the risk and followed the man.

"Um.. sir, can I ask what you are selling…?" She asked nervously.

"Oh, right I haven't told you my name yet, call me Alex or Shop Owner, either is okay and as for your question…" The man named Alex smiled widely at her and said. "Everything."
