A/N: Even though this is temporary, I'm really happy to be NUMBA 1, it's the first time I've been in the top spot, I'm grateful for all of your support!

----

Now that it's truly confirmed that they're my flesh and blood, I decided to try and talk to them. They're toddlers, probably no older than 1 year old, however, I'm sure they wouldn't be able to understand me.

"Hi there, nice to meet the two of you, you probably won't understand me, but I'm your father apparently, well your appearance made it obvious especially you." I look at Aquamarine, the male twin who was wearing a blue onesie.

He looked exactly like me when I was a toddler, if it wasn't for his unique eyes, he would have passed as my twin.

Aquamarine looked like he was pondering my words, while Ruby was still looking at me with an adorable scowl on her face, she tried to look intimidating but her cute looks didn't allow that.

I couldn't help but smile at her attempted intimidation. "You disliked me? Well, that's understandable, showing dislike to a stranger like me who suddenly appeared out of nowhere and joined your family, is a very good attitude to have, you must first know who they are and until you get a full grasp of their personality, only then you would decide whether to befriend them or not."

I gave advice to the toddlers, who probably doesn't understand what I meant, but I don't really care as I encourage that attitude of hers, because she is definitely going to need it in the moonlit world.

That's right, from the moment I realized that they are my spawns, it is their destiny to learn magecraft because even if I didn't want to when my family. The Barthomeloi learns about the twins' existence, they would no doubt force them to learn magecraft.

And I don't want that, at the very least I could teach them the basics without forcing them, and if they want to continue this path of death, then it's their choice and I would support them.

Both of my twins couldn't help but stare at each other as they heard my advice as if they weren't expecting me to do so.

'Well, Lorelei must've rubbed me off more than I thought, even as I baby Lorelei started giving me advice it doesn't matter if I understand her or not, she just keeps giving advice, if there's one thing I learned about Lorelei is that she loves to hear herself talk.' Not that I'll ever say it out loud in public thought.

After that, I tried to carry my children, but as expected Ruby didn't want me to carry her, as she resisted, instead I carried her older twin brother who has no problem with me. "Your sister has a strong personality huh?"

Unexpectedly I saw Aquamarine nod, which was a bit surprising and suspicious, but it was probably just a coincidence…

Because if it wasn't then, it would be really ridiculous, a reincarnated offspring? Oh, the irony.

"I should probably call Lorelei right now because if she finds out about this on her own without informing her of the news, I fear what she's going to do." Even though I'm now a magician and Lorelei can't hold a candle compared to me, my innate fear of her was still there as she had a good job grooming it.

-Lorelei Barthomeloi-

Her younger brother Alexander Barthomeloi has always been a weird child from the moment he was born, she noticed his odd behavior, it's hard not to, as occasionally I would find him speaking weird slang that I couldn't understand.

But despite that very odd behavior of her brother, she didn't bat an eye as he was after all, a direct relative, the closest she had aside from her parents, that's why unconditionally it's her responsibility to teach her how to be a proper Barthomeloi.

And even now, she still thinks that she failed to educate him, no matter what she tried, so in the end she stopped trying to change him into an ideal Barthomeloi, instead letting him be his own person, which is now the result.

However, it wasn't too terrible, at the very least he could still act like a proper magus of their house, only at serious moments, and aside from those times, he's too free-spirited to be a magus.

And times like those makes her wonder if she failed to be a responsible elder sister. Lorelei let out a sigh. "Maybe I should have pushed him harder back when he's younger.."

However, it was too late for regret now, as she was thinking about her failure to educate her younger brother, somebody knocked at her office. Normally it would warrant punishment for someone who dared to do that without invitation, but she got used to something like this and she blamed her brother for doing it the first time.

"Enter," Lorelei said.

She knows very well who that person is outside her office, as he's the only one aside from her brother who had the courage to knock on her office.

Then her door opened, revealing a tanned man with pure silver hair wearing a black apron with the words 'I AM THE BONE OF MY SWORD'.

It was a customized apron that she bought for him on his last birthday since he would most likely refuse to accept a noble phantasm as a gift as she did a few years ago.

That's why she decided to buy something that he would use most of the time, and it's an apron because there's not a day, he isn't in the kitchen, aside from working days.

Although putting the aria of his reality marble isn't a good idea, especially coming from her, she couldn't take it back especially when he was so happy receiving them.

Now her personal chef/fiance approached her and gently put the tray he was carrying on the wooden table near and said. "Here's fish and chips, your lunch for today."

Lorelei nods slightly. "Very well."

Her fiance, Shirou couldn't help but raise a brow at her response. "Lorelei, I'm waiting."

"What?" Lorelei scoffed at that, pretending not to know what he's indicating, while fully aware of what he wanted her to say.

Shirou let out a sigh and closed one of his eyes while looking at her. "Is it really that hard to say?"

Lorelei didn't say anything, but her silence tells everything that he wanted to know.

"I see, then if that's what you want then, so be it." Shirou was about to take the fish and chips away from the table, but Lorelei stopped him before he could take her meal away.

Lorelei glared at him while gritting her teeth, however, Shirou wasn't intimidated by her cold glare and just gave her an annoying smirk.

A familiar smirk that his counter-guardian counterpart would always wear, everything he finds amusing.

"Say it, Lorelei, it's just two simple words." He gave her a challenging look.

Normally anyone would attempt to do something like this to the Vice Director of Clocktower would meet a gruesome death, but Shirou was one of the few exceptions that could act this casually with her.

Lorelei, despite her protest, actually likes this because it's a new fresh air in the oppressive atmosphere of the Clocktower. Sometimes she had to unwind so that she could stay sane from all those political meetings she attended.

After having a glaring contest for a few minutes, Lorelei finally caved in and said. "Thank you."

It was forced, hard, and filled with reluctance, but it was enough to satisfy him. "Good."

And then he put the fish and chips back on the table, and Lorelei didn't stop glaring at her fiance.

"Hey, it wasn't that hard, and you know it. Don't be dramatic." Shirou crossed both arms as he spoke.

"It is to me, you know that we Barthomeloi don't say thank you in words but rather with action." Lorelei let out an irritated huff.

"Say that to your brother," Shirou smirked as he mentioned her brother and that made her wince, she's aware that her brother doesn't really follow the Barthomeloi family rules, except for a few.

For her fiance to say it right in front of her face is a low blow, as she was about to reply suddenly her phone started ringing and stared at the phone to see who called, seeing that it was Alexander, she answered the call.

"Alex, it is rare for you to call me twice in a single span of a week, tell me, is there something going on?" Lorelei asked with a frown.

"You want me to tell you something important?"

"Go on, I don't think it will be as surprising as sleeping with an alien goddess."

"....You what?!" Lorelei instantly stood up from her personal table and slammed both into the innocent table.

Thankfully though, her fiance reinforced it or else there would have been nothing left on the table.

After that, the call cut off and Lorelei's expression became more serious than usual, her face is like an immovable fortress at the moment, and stared at her fiance and declared. "We're going to Japan right this instant."

Shirou was surprised by that unexpected declaration and asked. "May I know why?"

"My foolish brother impregnated an eastern woman who is a non-magi, and as a result, he had children with her," Lorelei explained to him the short version of the story.

Shirou didn't know what to say about that, and couldn't help but think. 'Isn't Alex only about 18 years old?'

Despite that, he understood why Lorelei wanted to fly to Japan right now. "Alright, I'll come with you."

Lorelei nodded and immediately acted and thought. 'Oh Alexander, once I get my hands on you, my foolish little brother…'

She already could imagine punishing him for his foolishness and rash decision to birth an heir, the elders won't like this, especially when the mother of the children isn't part of the moonlit world.

A/N: The kids are going to meet their aunt and uncle sooner than expected!

What is she going to use to beat Alexander?

1 A Whip
