27 A Deserved Happiness

-Ozpin-

Ozpin couldn't but stroke his non-existent beard, as he stared intensely at the catalog screen in front of him, everything that he had seen so far in the shop is absolutely outrageous, there's even some item that could destroy an entire solar system in a single shot.

Being in this shop made him realize how insignificant he is, even at his peak he was nothing compared to what the shop had because as long as he had the right amount of credits, he could become a God.

However, he certainly wasn't planning to become one anytime soon, after looking at the weapon catalog for quite some time, he found something that he needed to win the thousand-year war with his ex-wife Salem.

A scythe named Harpe, despite its completely plain appearance, this weapon is ridiculously dangerous, especially to the immortal kind, as it nullifies their immortality and infects damage to the target.

It cost 6,000M.C., which was a great deal to him, with the loss of his immortality, he obtained an anti-immortality weapon and besides he hated his immorality anyway, so it's a win-win situation for him.

Without hesitation, he bought Harpe and the weapon floated toward him, and gently gripped the scythe handle, and took a good look.

"So, this is an immortal killing weapon…" All his life, he never owned something as ridiculous as this scythe. It's safe to say that this is the most powerful weapon that he has owned to this date.

Satisfied, he carefully put Harpe on the table nearby, as he didn't want to be its first victim.

Now that the scythe was put at a safe distance, now it was time for him to spend the rest of his credits there's no better time to use it.

He might as well buy something that is useful to him, like getting back his original body or reviving his children…

Oh…

His eyes widened as he realized the implications, he had been too caught up with his war against Salem and didn't think about reviving his daughters!

Without waiting any longer, he searched for an item or ability that could possibly revive his daughters.

And he found a lot of revival items, some are in the form of orbs, some are in the form of scrolls, and some were wands, pills, eyes, pillars, totems, statues, and many more.

While they may look different from each other, their main function is to revive a person.

They had different conditions, consequences, and so on.

Ozpin naturally picked the one he could afford and the best revival item without consequences, because those certain items with a catch are just the worst.

He is speaking from experience.

And yes, he's talking about the Relics.

Ozpin bought a revival item that looks like a scroll, he bought 4 of them, each for his daughter.

It wasn't as expensive as he thought it would be. A 100 each per scroll, is reviving a person this cheap?

Certainly isn't in his universe, but he wasn't going to bother questioning it because what matters is that he wanted his children back.

His first children, his Eldest Helena, the second eldest Elizabeth, the middle child Morgan and the youngest Aurora.

This revival method doesn't need a body or any sort of DNA from the person that he wanted to revive.

It only needs the soul, and these scrolls will call upon his children's souls and materialize them in this location, along with their newly formed bodies that look exactly the same on the day of their death.

But first, he needed to put a drop of his blood in the scrolls to activate the item, which he gladly did, a drop of blood was nothing compared to the pain he experienced in his immortal life.

After putting a drop of his blood on each scroll, a second later the scrolls started to burn by themselves and each started to form a magical circle in the air.

And then four bodies started to form, it started with bones, muscles, and skin tissues and eventually, the complete bodies of his daughters were completed.

Helena was the first one to open her eyes, and Elizabeth, then Morgan, and lastly Aurora, and all of them had a similar expression on their faces.

Complete confusion.

Despite that Ozpin, or perhaps Ozma, teared up upon seeing his precious daughters, but he couldn't stop himself from hugging them tightly as soon as he got near them.

"I'm sorry, sorry my daughter's, I'm sorry that I caused your deaths, I'm sorry for that mistake…" Ozma sobbed as he tightly hugged his daughters.

The said daughters had no idea what they should do, as this stranger started hugging them without a warning, but despite their confusion and wariness of the man, they didn't push him away as they could feel the genuine guilt and affection that he had for them.

Helena, the oldest of the four, suddenly started patting the head of Ozma. "There, there I hope you feel better now, Mr!"

Seeing their eldest sister's action, the rest started imitating her action, and they also started patting his head.

Ozma was confused at their wording about him, did they not recognize their father..-

Oh, he suddenly realized that he wasn't in his original body, making him a complete stranger to his daughter's eyes, he completely forgot about that.

Ozma smiled wearily and said. "Helena, Elizabeth, Morgan, Aurora. It's me princess, your papa Ozma."

Upon hearing that his precious daughter's eyes widened and exclaimed.

"Papa!"

"Pa!"

"Dad!"

"Daddy!"

All four of them returned a hug, making Ozma's old heart warm and cozy. It was a wonderful feeling, his children didn't even doubt his claim to be his father despite looking completely different from his first incarnation.

It made him really happy and hugged his treasures even tighter than before.

Thus the heartwarming reunion of a father of his daughters continues.

Although, they didn't notice that a person was watching them with a smile on his face.

"Well, isn't this a nice picture?" I said while smiling, it was truly a heartwarming scene.

Although…

"Why is a revival item such as that scroll so cheap?" I couldn't help but frown at that, the prices aren't equivalent at all.

[ I can explain that sir, it's because there are universes where the concept of revival is completely normal, death is a friend to them, like a game world for example a staff or a wand could completely revive a person with zero consequences. ]

Okay, that makes sense if that scroll is from a game world or universe, then a revival is completely normal, but still, this made death absolutely 'cheap' in my eyes.

Either way, I shifted my attention toward Ozma's subordinates. Honestly, it was surprising to see that they didn't notice what their boss was doing.

But then again, their eyes glued to the shop catalog, eager to try whatever they find fancy and useful for their needs.

-Qrow-

He was confused, shocked, and irritated at what he just heard from his trusted comrade. He knew that Ozpin had a lot of secrets, however, he would have never imagined that his boss apparently had children with their arch-nemesis.

To think it's because of Ozpin's bad decision that this situation escalated from this?

While he may agree with Ozpin's decision of not killing their ancestors, replacing them with their daughters. Ozpin made a very bad decision of escaping, this could have been avoided if he explained his reasoning.

Either way, it already happened there is no changing the past unless they had enough credits for time travel which they don't currently.

Overall, he just accepted the situation, although he's still a bit dissatisfied with some things.

"So, what are we still going to kill-" Qrow stops as he realizes what he was about to mention, he didn't want the children to hear it, and he approaches his boss and whispers. "Is the plan to kill your ex-wife still available?"

Hearing that from him, Ozpin's eyes narrowed, and quickly answered. "Of course, she is far from being saved but…"

Ozpin hesitates and continues. "If she could be reasoned with and surrendered maybe…"

"Yeah, no that's unlikely to happen." If what Ozpin describes his ex-wife is true, then there's almost no possibility of that happening.

Even if they add their children to the strategy. Salem would most likely kidnap them herself and take them as her own.

Qrow could definitely see that happening.

Looking at the girls that were talking with Glynda and Summer.

"We shall see about that…however what did you buy anyway?" His boss asked him curiously.

"A never-ending flask of beer," Qrow answered without hesitation.

Before Ozpin could say anything, he continued. "Before you say anything, let me finish, this beer is unlike the normal ones that make me drunk and wasted, this one apparently clears my mind, the opposite of being drunk."

"Oh? What changed?" Ozpin asked genuinely surprised by his decision to buy such a thing.

"Well, after knowing that Sum is alive there's no point for me to continue drinking, the entire reason why I was drinking like crazy is because of her supposed death, while I may like drinking in the past, it was never to the point I'd drink every day non-stop," Qrow admitted.

His reason for drinking is to forget the pain, but now seeing that there's no reason for him to drink any further, he acted.

Since he couldn't stop his craving for alcohol, despite wanting to stop, he decided to buy something that looks like alcohol, tastes like alcohol but isn't alcohol but something that clears his mind.

"Mhm, I see…" Ozpin replied.

After that, they continued their conversation.

A/N: So, yeah that concludes the chapter for now.

I don't have a lot of things to say at the moment, but I think Ozpin deserves happiness, the man suffered a lot, and while it may not be an EMIYA level of despair it certainly is close.
