25 Chapter 25

Now to address the matter about my Sigil. It seems that so far, based on my recent experiences, its hidden ability which I originally thought was a copying ability, turned out to be... well, it is indeed copying, but the copying it does is actually not a 1 to 1 ratio.

If more, what it does is just give me the most discounted version of the Sigil it's trying to replicate.

At the very least, that's how I understand it.

Cause a day later after my most recent fight, I decided to spend another day again to do some training arc. You know, to deepen my understanding when it comes to my own Sigil cause as simple as it may seem, my Spell book is actually so freaking complicated.

The moment I thought I was already getting it, the more it slaps me in the face with new more things, making everything more complicated as if it wasn't already.

In any case, regarding as to how I came up with this kind of theory... well. It's because of my recent activities and my own observation of the Book's reaction to the things I encounter as it evolves into something more. Or something else.

For example, going back on my fight against that flying b*tch.

Look, I battled the guy for only a couple of minutes, it isn't that long true, but I think that we fought long enough that I can proudly say to some extent that I already know how that guy's Sigil works. For its speed. Versatility. Consumption. During our fight, I observed it all pretty well. At least I like to believe that I did.

Now if I were to compare the Level of that guy's "Flying" to what I got at the end of that fight, I think it's just plain embarrassing. The results are not even close.

Cause that flying dude, even though he's already full of holes in his body and his situation could probably not get any worse, can still fly pretty well.

So well in fact that hitting him with my gun became a not-so-easy task. The way he smoothly glides in the sky, combined with his speed that is clearly on the quicker side, all of that makes me understand why he's a higher rank Player. Cause his flying Sigil, is actually really good.

And the reason why he got defeated by me is because I'm just a really bad match for him. Had it not been me, his opponent would probably die before they can even comprehend what just happened to them.

Even me, cause if it wasn't for my barrier, I would have received the same treatment.

Now all of these facts, are just so that everyone understands how good it probably is if I manage to get a Flying spell with the same level of effectiveness as that guy's flying sigil.

But given how I am complaining right now, obviously, that's just simply not the case.

Now going at what I got, as I once stated, mine is probably the most discounted version of it. I mean, let's try comparing the two, shall we?

First of all, in regard to the flying speed.

Boi, do I move so f*cking slow with it. It's literally like I'm just walking... but in the middle of the air. No fuck that, walking is actually, probably, even much faster.

As I said, when I am fighting the original owner of this ability, he flies pretty fast. It's not exaggeratedly fast, but if I were to be forced to categorize it between slow and fast, then it will surely be in the fast category. No doubt.

But mine, if I use this mid-battle, I will literally be just a floating target for anyone to sh*t on. At this point, it's pretty embarrassing to even call this ability [Fly]. Cause what I'm doing while this spell is active is not flying, but literally just floating up above.

Now, going onto another key point of comparison... the duration. Or in other words, how long can this ability be used?

Well, the original owner of this Fly Sigil can probably fly for a long time. That should be the actual case cause throughout the whole fight, I did not see any signs of him getting tired. Even in his worst moments where he's literally making it rain with his blood, his flying momentum barely even stuttered.

Sigil's in the first place, is not that taxing to its user. I mean, in my case, I can keep the Spell Book around me for a very long time before I start feeling the signs that I probably should give it a rest already.

Cause my Spellbook and spells are both different things. They are one, but don't work the same way.

What I just wanted to say is, using Sigils is not that hard. So that Guy can probably fly almost indefinitely.

On the other hand, there's me.

Twenty seconds. During my training, that's pretty much my maximum flying time. Unless I recast it, I would not be able to stay in mid-air for much longer than that.

Might as well say that the Casting cost of this flying spell is no joke. I mean, just two continuous recasts of this spell are already enough to make me look like a haggard chicken in the skies.

Overall, my maximum time for a flight, if I combine it with the amount of recast I can do before I get too exhausted is... a whopping 40 seconds.

Now someone might say that it's not too bad. But in my defense, think about it, my flying speed is literally that of a snail's pace.

So in that 40 seconds, I will get to nowhere at all.

Someone can just stand there and watch me fly, and in those 40 seconds, they will probably still be able to see me in that same spot.

To make the long story short, my version of fly compared to its predecessor, is just plain embarrassing.

Now mind you, this is just the one ability. I couldn't even imagine how awesome the others must have been if I manage to take them as they originally were.

Teleportation? Air Blast?

That Teleporting dude can probably teleport wherever he wanted to. And the discounted version for me is just being able to teleport to places, within sights.

Well, teleportation is just that OP that even the discounted version is still OP.

The Airblast on the other hand... well, Sigil about Air? That Guy can probably control the air for all I know, or at the very least, something close to that. And I and my dumbass got only the part where I can just blow Air in one direction.

Overall, the conclusion of everything... my Sigil, the Spell Book, is great. Don't get me wrong.

But its ability to imitate ability, SUCKS SO MUCH ASS.
