2 Chapter 2: Useless Keyboard Warrior

(Authors Note: Just want to say that my upload schedule is kinda chaotic. If I update early morning GMT+8 time, it means I am free and feeling energetic. If it's already noon, then I'm free and got nothing to do. If it's already night, that means I made the chapter after work. If it's close to Midnight then I'm lazy barely writing the chapter. If I upload at 12 am that means I have advanced chapters written. Anyways, I would at least upload 5 chapters a week that's for sure. Welp, enjoy the chapter.)

(Third Person POV)

"Humanity oh humanity. This generation of filth calling themselves with stupid pronouns. The Judgement Day has come." The overbearing voice rang out all over the globe.

Silence, complete utter silence.

Humanity froze in its tracks, their actions halted as shock painted each face with disbelief, as though time itself had come to a standstill.

Even though the language spoken was unfamiliar to the humans, the message resonated deeply within each individual, as though the words had been inscribed into the very core of their existence.

After a prolonged silence with time elusive to all, the earth trembled, setting off a cacophony of screams filled with fear and desperate pleas for forgiveness.

Individuals dropped to their knees, their voices rising in supplication, seeking mercy and aid.

Normally, people would feel doubt or at least question the reality of what they were hearing.

However, there was something in the voice that persuaded them otherwise.

Every human felt compelled to believe what the voice was saying as if its words were the only truth.

After a brief pause, the voice resounded once more, "Throughout numerous generations, humanity has steadily declined. This present era, alas, is rife with foolishness and ignorance. Though I stand by my initial judgment, I am willing to offer humanity an opportunity for redemption."

"Survive! Weather this Cataclysm with unwavering resolve, for those who endure until the end shall transcend into a new realm, where mana flows like rivers and the supernatural dances in the air—a world humanity has dreamed of for eons, now within grasp. Temper your spirits and cleanse your souls as you navigate this crucible of trials, for redemption awaits the steadfast and the brave." As the voice finished its announcement, a particular set of knowledge was etched into each human's mind.

Mana, Identity Panel, and the Cataclysm.

These words were unfamiliar to "regular" humans but brought surprise and excitement to a particular set of humanity.

'Mana is the lifeblood of magic, an invisible force that flows through all living things and the world around us.

It is the energy that fuels extraordinary abilities and supernatural phenomena, granting power to those who harness its mysteries.

Imagine it as the unseen thread that connects us to the cosmos, pulsating with the potential to shape reality itself.

While invisible to the naked eye, its presence is felt in moments of wonder and awe, stirring the imagination and igniting the desire for exploration and discovery.

In the new world, mana promises to unlock untold wonders and unleash the full potential of humanity's boundless imagination.' This particular explanation of mana was etched into humanity's mind.

'Identity Panel, a particular feature the Supreme God gave to humanity as a tool to use to weather through his trial.

Everyone can access this simply by saying the words "Identity Panel Open/Close" or simply willing it through the mind.

The Identity Panel is there in order for humans to view and understand their skills and abilities.' An easy-to-understand concept for the tool humanity was given.

'The Cataclysm. The punishment the Supreme God decided to throw towards humanity.

Normally, if the world were to be given mana, the world would slowly adapt from generation to generation.

But because it was considered as divine punishment and not the evolution of a world, this process was compressed into what would typically span a couple of hundred years into a second.

Thrusting humanity into the ordeal prematurely.' And lastly, a grim reminder to humanity that after one last year of peace, all hell will break loose.

(Authors Note: Basically, the process should be goblins or slimes will first appear then orcs, ogres, etc. However, due to the divine punishment in Insane mode, after the one-year grace period granted by God for humanity to acclimate to mana, a wide array of strong monsters, like dragons, demons, and devils, will emerge from day one onwards. You get the idea.)

(Dante POV)

After about an hour of freezing in fear as I sat through my cheap gaming chair a loud sigh could be heard before I cursed out loud, "Fuck this shit. What kind of stupid storyline is this? Fucking pronouns. This is some third-rate fanfic."

As I tried to calm myself, a sigh of resignation came out of my mouth.

"Seriously, Divine Punishment. Fuck. The Genshin story is not even finished ffs. I still want to know the story's end. I don't want to die without knowing the Abys Twins end and Sandrone isn't even out yet. Shit." With a last curse, I thought about knowledge etched into my mind.

"Mana, Identity Panel, and a last year to live huh? Fuck. Is it too late to be a good boy? Damn, I never thought God was real. Would deleting my rage comments lessen my sins? Shit." I said as I gazed at the computer screen.

My mouse was hovering towards the last review I made before the announcement of the end was given. I mean this Group Chat fanfic is trash yeah, I ain't capping. The MC is stupidly naïve. Why would you even give away information for free? At least profit from it ffs.

"Fuck it. Identity Panel Open" I said as my mouse pointer hovered before clicking the delete button.
