Chapter 10: Space or Time?

With a little bit of nausea, I opened my eyes only to find myself standing inside a small room.

The room is quite straightforward, containing a table and desk beside the bed space, and a bookshelf stocked with books covering general knowledge about Personal Realities, AIM, and other first-year-related curricula. Additionally, there's a small kitchenette for basic cooking and a toilet sized for a single person.

As the nausea began to subside, a burst of information entered my mind.

'At least the Supreme God is not intentionally making things hard for me.' I said to myself before reviewing the information.

Using some reality-bending and mass mind manipulation, the chat members would be given an identity in a mission world.

While the identity could only be considered as average as it could be, it would be heaven-sent in a highly technological world.

The government or in this case Aleister and the Board of Directors would surely find something suspicious about a person that came out of nowhere.

An additional note, the Phone would be a camouflage to other people to suit the current world technological level.

Like if I were in a magical world, the phone would be a magic item in the eyes of the natives, another example would be the phone being a scroll if let us say I found myself in the Naruto world.

Another safety feature ensures that if someone glances at your phone screen while you're using the group chat or any other feature, it would appear to them as though you're simply browsing social media, safeguarding the privacy of chat members.

'A level 0 enrolled in A Certain High School Class 1-7. A template silent student type who could be called average in all aspects.' I said to myself, as I sat down on the bed.

While it might sound weird that level 0 is average, it is indeed the case.

Due to the focus of the anime on its main characters, it's easy for viewers to forget that a significant majority of Academy City's student population, comprising over 90%, consists of Level 0 or Level 1 Esper.

'My memories also include participation in the "Power Curriculum Program" since I was a child but I never managed to create my own personal reality.' As I sat on the bed, my mind started planning my first world speed run.

'Two weeks. That's the most I could spend on this world. If possible I want to finish in a week but I know plans are rarely smooth sailing.' With that last thought, I started browsing the net about Personal Reality.

'Today should be a school day, but I'll pass. It's not like I'll stay here for a long time. I need to at least reach level 3 before going outside this room. It would be disastrous if I find myself in some shit completely defenseless.' With confidence in my plans, I started to recall what I knew about humans turning into Esper.

'To become an Esper, one either needed to be born as a gemstone or be artificially created.

The Power Curriculum Program involves scientists administering drugs and other shit to induce a shift in perception, allowing individuals to detach from the conventional reality and develop their Personal Reality.

After acquiring a Personal Reality, Espers utilize the AIM (An Involuntary Movement) energy emanating from themselves and the environment to materialize their Esper powers through AIM as a conduit of their Personal Reality.' With a nod, I started skimming through the books on my bookshelves and the internet with the topics concerning Personal Reality and AIM.

Using Great Sage to save and analyze the information I encounter is incredibly convenient.

Learning can be challenging you say? Maybe, but not if you have a magical AI in your head.

After processing knowledge about AIM, Personal Reality, and memories from various Anime Worlds for a few hours, Great Sage was able to provide the answers I was seeking.

Firstly, considering there are two types of AIM, Personal Aim (emitted from oneself) and General AIM (ambient energy similar to mana native to the To Aru world), would I lose my Esper powers or experience a decrease in strength in other worlds? Considering an Esper's powers manifest through AIM (both personal and general) would I be fine?

Ordinarily, the answer is obviously leaning toward the negative side.

However, with my Energy Based Physique, the Personal AIM I emit would be sufficient to unleash my full power, meaning no nerfs in other worlds.

Second, what exactly is Personal Reality?

According to Great Sage's analysis, Personal Reality is akin to the Mindscape found in other fictional worlds.

While it typically requires considerable effort for normal humans to create one, with Great Sage's assistance, I could easily acquire my own Personal Reality.

Lastly, can I target a specific Personal Reality to acquire an Esper power of choice?

Since Esper's powers are closely tied to the user's Personal Reality, it's likely that Great Sage could help me shape my Personal Reality in a specific direction as I try to obtain the Esper Power of my choice.

'This is good, but because of the first revelation, Accelerator would be out of the choices for the Chat invite. Unless he can emit a huge amount of Personal AIM, which I am unsure if he could.' With a click of my tongue, the list of possible invites became narrower.

'Without the General AIM, Espers would get nerfed if they left this world unless they have something to counter it like my Physique. The only exception on the level 5's would be Sogita Gunha (The Strongest Gemstone) as gemstones don't need AIM, their powers just manifest because they can.

So my first choice would now be Gunha, then people from the magic side as Mana is much more prevalent in other worlds, but honestly, I don't like the people on the magical side. Or, I could also pick Aleister himself or the frog-faced Doctor for their expertise. Mmm, I'll try to hit level 5 first before I decide.' With such thoughts, I lay down on the bed and I cleared my mind.

With steady, rhythmic breathing, I focused my intention on invoking the Great Sage's guidance as I sought to acquire Esper Powers related to Spatial or Time Manipulation.
