Chapter seventeen The birthday party.

After they had dressed up and were ready to set out, Rita asked, "so what's the plan? We are going to be late if we go to the Spa for the massage."

"I already called Monica to cancel it. We are heading to the mall to get some makeup and new party clothes."

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiy! Rita shouted in excitement.

"You are the one paying for it!" Elena cut in.

Rita's joy was cut halfway, "But I am not as rich as you!"

"Come on, your father is a minister and you own a jewelry company, stop being stingy!"

"But you have more money than my father."

"How do you know? Did you go to check my account?"

"Do I have to? You and Damian own half of this country, and you are the mysterious rich lady."

"So you can't even take your friend for a makeover!?It's okay, I will do it myself, but..."

"Okay, okay, I will pay everything for you today."

"You sure, everything?" Elena smiled. She got her where she wanted.

"Yeah, everything..." Rita said smiling.

"But which Mall should we go to."

Rita widened her eyes in realization that she was tricked, "is that what you wanted to say before?"

"Yes, is there a problem!?" Elena pretended she didn't understand.

"Instead of using 'but' you could have just asked which mall are we going to!" Rita was almost crying. Sometimes she wished Sarah could come back!

"I did not ask you to cut me while I'm talking, did I?"

They continued bickering with each other until they arrived at the mall. "so, I am going with red, what about you?" Rita asked.

"Nothing much."

One and a half hours later, they were all dressed up and they were now seated at her special parking lot, reserved only for her "why are we still seated here?" Rita broke the silence.

"We are not seated, we are observing." Elena said, her eyes were focused on a certain figure that was passing by in a tight fitting high waist skirt and a matching crop top.

Rita looked at Elena and then followed her gaze to where she was staring at and widened her eyes in realization, then she turned to look back at Elena, "You evil witch, I knew you were up to something!" Rita yelled in excitement. "tell me, tell me! So what's the plan?

Elena's focus was still on the figure that was surrounded by reporters at the gate, "since she likes stealing people's spotlight... I bet the birthday girl is so furious!" Elena smiled, "How about we start by stealing her spotlight. I bet it will be fun to see her make an ugly face." She said as she unbuckled the seat belt and opened the car door, Rita was following closely behind. " I'll brief you with the rest."

Kalen, the birthday girl was so upset, "That bitch just came to steal my spotlight, can't she see it's my birthday today?" She said in annoyance. "I booked this whole bar and invited the media but she just can't stay without seeking attention."

Anna was busy smiling at the cameras, as the reporters kept on asking question. Suddenly, the reporters ran straight to the one who was entering from the main door. She turned around to follow where they were heading to, only to see a lady dressed in full black. She folded her hands in a fist, anger and annoyance written all over her face. Elena's dress was a black high neck, asymmetric embroidered trim maxi dress. It had a long sleet that went all the way to her thighs and a black suede velvet peep toe strappy gladiator high stilleto heels. Rita was dressed in a red ladies lace big put on, sexy long skirt tail, banquet evening dress that exposed her white flow less skin and a cleavage at the front with a simple red biagiotti pump.

Rita and Elena were walking towards the main entrance, Elena saw Anna approaching then she stopped them.

"I did not know Kalen would also invite a slut to her birthday." Anna said, approaching them proudly with Maddie on her right side and the other minions following her from behind.

"And I do not know why you care so much, you really like poking your nose into other people's businesses, are you always that desperate?!"
